Yessss Taking Back Sunday was my morning drive to high school. I just went to their 20th anniversary tour in Detroit! Gotta do more. Check out "So Last Summer" th-cam.com/video/CQE7gu4D1R4/w-d-xo.html
Liked the video, saved it, got me something to eat, and then played it, cause I knew this was gonna be good. You can also do "Liar" and "Cute without the E" from them as well.
so this is WAY to late and will never get seen, but you wanna see a "husky" guitar player, look up bowling for soup. hilarious pop punk band. the song "1985" would be my recommendation.
If your going to try some post hardcore, can we please get some "brandnew" (not the new album preferably, not post hardcore) or maybe some "chiodos"... "Thrice"... Just please don't let this make that easy jump to wackness... Like going from chiodos/coheed and cambria to good charlotte/simple plan... Or anything new found glory after simple plan got popular lol cuz they changed their whole sound to sell out... Wearing a xloths pin on his nose and shit lol...
There’s no hardcore dancing in the living room!!! Chiodos kills!! I agree tho, New Found Glory, Simple Plan and Good Charlotte CANNOT be introduced to him until after all of the GOOD bands... thanks Brando for getting TBS on here!! Let’s gets some Where You Want To Be songs up next plz!!!
Makedamnsure is less about physical intimacy and more about the chase...the twist is that it's not just the standard "in da club" vibes. the closest you come to that with Taking Back Sunday is the Your So Last Summer video which features Flavor Flav dancing around in a fit check that can only be described as "picnic table cloth chic" back to this song, lines like "you are everything i want, cause you are everything i'm not" and "you hollowed out my hungry eyes" give a more sinister intent behind the chase. someone at the bar, watching someone flirt around, and in their head thoughts get louder and louder from sex to death. the video fits perfectly because it's all this charged violent imagery like a napalm strike, and lions hunting antelope, and riot police beating on bystanders (most prominantly with a fire hose) that shift into serene imagery of calming like the napalm strike turning into a ballerina, or the lion turning into a happy child practicing a cartwheel. these shifts juxtapose with the big crescendo ending to show that while the rising action inside the head of the character in the lyrical story, it's all just internal thoughts instead of physical action. in the end the song is nothing more than a harmless chase. i will say it's ok to get a little lost on this one cuz the song has a bit of narrative behind it that weaves better into the full album's concepts (Louder Now) and themes. it's a little ambitious, and i think emo kids only took to it so well cuz Taking Back Sunday already had a massive audience when this song came out, but the song itself plays on themes of overthinking, the chase, and intimacy, so i think newer fans to the band didn't see this single as such a high concept, and could relate to the anxiety of it all. at this point, it's just their biggest hit. check out Cute Without The e, or A Decade Under The Influence to hear the vocal layering they do so well that really makes them special. TBS are masters of having multiple vocal lines of completely different lyrics being sung at the same time and not having it sound like a cheesy Broadway musical.
Please react to The Strokes! Here’s a list of my top 5 songs from each album: IS THIS IT 1. The Modern Age 2. Barely Legal 3. Hard To Explain 4. Trying Your Luck 5. Why Are Sundays So Depressing 4. Not The Same Anymore 5. Ode To The Mets BONUS SONG: Threat Of Joy
For me this song always hints at an "one sided" love between best friend who never take that steep into a relationship. The ones that the world could see that it was what they should do, but one has there walls up so high for what ever reason that it never happens. "I just want to break you down so badly. I trip over every word you say." = I want to break down those walls you have up because of how you have been treated in the past, but I'm such a fool for you I stumble over my own words.
Ayoo I just found ur channel yesterday and was like I kinda like this dude then u come on today on autoplay lmao guess it’s meant to be take this sub my man
Oh, and I'd be open to listening to some Beyonce tho I admit I don't listen to her like that since her early stuff but I'm always ready for some new-to-me music
Please do Brandnew (you may have seen others ask for them) "sic transit gloria, glory fades" And if you want to jump straight into going off the popular list instead, do "jaws theme swimming" Your the shit and thanks for considering.
You should reCt to beyonce because she had the greatest music video of all time... Which was her and 2 back up dancers in a room... Thats the whole video lol.
If you’re going to do this genre esp this band... you should react to the songs off Taking Back Sunday’s and Brand New’s first albums that are about each other and responses to those songs. I believe two of them are: Brand New- Seventy times seven (which is the amount of times The Bible says God will forgive you. Interesting title when you hear the song.) Taking Back Sunday- There’s no I in team Feel free to help me out in the comments. It’s been a long time.
Now i want to listen to some taking back sunday cuz this song is a disappointment for me as someone who knows that whole album and the one before that from memory.
This was the perfect song for someone who doesn’t know the genre... Because It’s a great song to get to know and sing with, but also is the beginning of the end!!! Hahaha
What the front door?... Love this band... not my favorite by them. Try Saigon Kick ... that's my 80's when was 14 in 89... I rock this hip hop country pop till the rest of these genera's drop. Boy.

Fuck yes, the title of this video alone took me back to my angsty teen years.
Yo Van if you wanted to hear a rock band with an R&B vibe, check out Change by The Deftones. Their lead has a super unique voice.
I know its not well known, but ghost man on third is really good... But super hard to follow the lyrics.
The first two albums are the best!! It’s hard for me to choose which is better
does anyone remember the Brand New shirt that said "mics are for singing not for swinging"?
