We did the whole Cecil Cove loop and the Thunder Canyon Falls last week. 8.05 miles total. Pretty easy except for the landside area that wasn't there when you filmed this, I don't think.
@cuz129 you're right, that landslide happened after I filmed this. I want to go back and hike the whole Cecil Cove loop. But I want to backpack it and camp out. Not that it can't be done in a day...I just think it would be a cool spot to hike into and spend the night.
Thanks for the video. Hiked this the other day and made it to paige falls, missed all this which i was really hoping for. Will have to go back in a few weeks.
@Wildo Oh no!!! Yeah Paige Falls is definitely well past the turn to Thunder Canyon. I hate that you missed it. Be sure to look for the creek coming from Thunder Canyon that runs into Cecil Creek. It's a left turn there and hike up that feeder creek.
@del nayr - It's hard to say, but I keep coming back to Twin Falls in Richland Creek as probably my favorite: www.arownbackyard.com/2020/05/08/richland-falls-and-twin-falls-hike/ But Thunder Canyon is definitely up there as one of my favorites
Thank you! Always appreciate your comments, brother. Yeah that creek wasn't as deep as I thought once I checked it. There might be some smallmouth in there for ya though in some of the pools!
This has been at the top of my list for years.
Thanks for sharing. I definitely need some courage to get my butt up there.
You can do it. It's really a great hike. The rocks along the slot creek are very slick. But other than that, there's not any real danger to it.

I just got back from there! Totally dry and low water conditions, No skeeters. Totally beautiful and rewarding hike.
It's one of my favorite hikes! Yeah, I'll bet it is pretty low right now. Thanks for commenting!

@@williamgibbs71 You're welcome. And good luck! Hope you find it. Will be well worth it!
It was slick in that little canyon!
Probably my favorite fall, I e seen on your page. Thanks 🙏
I'm glad you liked it. It's definitely in my top 5, maybe be even top 3 waterfalls I've been to.
@@AROwnBackyard just curious, what is your favorite? I went to this one a couple weeks ago and it's probably my favorite so far.

@@AROwnBackyard awesome, I love Smallies.
WOW! That an amazing hike and the waterfall is fabulous. Thanks for this video!
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it! It really is a fantastic hike.
Wading the river did not look like a pleasant thing for December, even for down there.
Haha, no. It was a bit chilly! But it's 100% worth it for this hike. I'll do it again, even in colder weather.
Dpuck how in the heck did you find this channel?
Glad u did bc this dude does the best hikes
@@WholeOtherLevelOutdoors I wander down lot of rabbit holes. 😄
Two trekking poles are way better than a single stick or pole.
This has been at the top of my list for years.
@JS It is one of my top 5 favorite waterfalls. Definitely do this one if you haven't already.
