That would have felt lighter on the cords in contrast to using glottal attacks! Never be afraid to change the consonants in words when singing to suit what you're looking to achieve; open sounds for legato and closed sounds for staccato. Once again, good job on the cover!

One little rip of a vocal chord can take forever to heal. Do you do vocal warm ups every day? I hope so. If you do (and be sure to allow time to relax the muscles in your voice afterward) you should be able to keep that range well in to your 40s or early 50s. Your English is beautifully accented, too.
