These DIY methods, like the one shown by AP can literally be just as good as the high-end stuff like Tobii and TrackIR at a much lower cost!!! The high end ones take literally a day to setup and you're good to go! Nice one 😀

still too much for what it does, animaze / facerig dosnt even use that much and it tracks everything while animating your movement over to a 3d character. there is probably something else running in the background when installing this software
Nice. It is very useful for 15 and 17 inch laptops. On a PC... I don't know... It probably depends on the setup - no wheel or with wheel. You may run out of USBs at some point...
Great tutorial, but AItrack wouldn't recognize Droidcam as a video source. It would only show integrated camera as option 2, while option 1 and 0 showed nothing in the preview. (Meaning it didn't connect to the Droidcam input. If you had any tips or solutions, it would be much appreciated!
As I can see when someone uses the head tracking option, I wonder if it's really that cool. In my opinion, not so much because when you turn your head you lose sight of the monitor. VR glasses seem to be a much better solution.
Well the proportions are different and can be adjusted. If I have to look back out from the window of the truck, I just need to look 45 degrees to my left. So I can still see the monitor :) You can even move your body to left/right to look at the opposite direction, so that you still have sight of monitor. VR would obviously be better but we are looking at a huge price difference here, $0 and yeah you know it.
Is the jitter while looking up/down or even left/right as well? If it's for left/right as well, try to stay in a bright area so the camera can pick up your face. Also adjust the mapping so that you don't need to look too much far from the camera :)
@@AP_101 i will try to improve lighting conditions and check and as for mapping i have copied exact as yours but in comparison to your experience yours is very fast and smooth when you turn head like it glides in my case its fast but it does not glide its gets choppy.
You didn't have to cover that IP when you showed the Droid Cam. It was a local IP, only available on the LAN. Nobody could DDoS you. BTW This video is the best video on the subject

It doesn't work for me...I did everything you mention in the video. I see my head moving in the AI tracker and the pink squid moving in the other one, but it doesn't work in the game...

You can keep it anywhere in front of you as long as it can detect your face completely. You can look at the preview in AITrack to see if it's properly tracking

I recommend using a camera that have 720p/60fps or higher for smoother moving, and 3 monitors for best experience with head tracking

@@gangwartanmay what are your PC specs? Just for testing, decrease graphics to the LOWEST, to check if it is due to the PC specs or not.
@@gangwartanmay Also look at AITrack's preview and check if it is tracking your head properly or not. You have to stay in a bright place :)
