Love how this room turned out. The red is beautiful along with the furniture and placement. Great teamwork, Shirtless Tom, Angel House and Anne, you all made this a lovely room. Love the different heights of the sofas, great choice, it opens up the room. 💕
That girl really has an eye. I like the way she made the stove a highlight. I wish your mantel was just a bit deeper like in some of your other rooms. It’s just lovely🍁

They stand up very well to wear. I have friends who bought one at Seraph years and years ago and it’s perfect except for the damage their cats clawing on it made.

I like the red walls & new piece & arrangement and I liked when the walls were lighter w/the tall furniture piece too. I do like the wall all read instead of light w/red. It all looks great --- i love to decorate too.
Fun to see all the changes. I think I would like to keep the red fireplace wall and paint the wainscoting, doors and window frames a soft black. Not grey, not deep dark black, a mellow black with the cream walls.
The red room looks spectacular now with the Sheraton sofa, which has the lower back and front spindle legs. Loving the mix of fabric on the sofa, too. I too have large wing chairs and they're in the middle of the room and position isn't right. Guess rethinking and moving things around will seem best. Tom's the best!!

The red is gorgeous Anne. I would personally choose to have a lower chair by the fire - an antique nursing chair, but maybe that's more of an English room idea. It was fun to watch the transformation.
@@AnneClay It is a low chair without arms. Usually a wooden frame with fabric upholstery. It was designed to be a low height so that a woman could feed a child and interact with other small people, and also not have to bend whilst wearing a corset:) The chairs are very useful and still quite popular. Often the dog of the household will claim it as their chair!

Love the deep red/burgundy and the coziness by bringing the curtains back in❤. I’m always looking at magazines, books, pinterest, other friends homes, etc hoping for a burst of inspiration. When you find it, pull it together, change this or that, you just know when it feels right. Absolutely beautiful ❤. I love that she suggested the brown in front of the sofas. The warmth of the old wood (brown)against the bold color on the wall and furniture fabric colors really create a feeling of coziness and warmth.🤎🤎. Roz, loved the old wood lantern that you put on the coffee table/trunk, add a cozy candle and perfect

That’s true, it does. But now the entire wall stands out bringing the warmth in. I like the homes with the wood paneling around the fireplace and it all painted the same color so since we haven’t had a chance to do that in there, this was the next best thing.
Because there is 240 year old brick directly under the plaster, it is impossible to put anything in it. The existing screw is as there and is the only thing that will hold the weight of the large frame.

I added wood on there for a while to make it stand out more but then it started to look too farmhouse and inauthentic so I took it down

That lantern was a good choice but it was a little too big. She wanted to give us room to put our cups on there at night. Yea and warm wood good call.
