Thanks! I don't usually get so "mad" about a plane, but I just don't want our audience to be lied to, and cheated for some less than desirable offering...Thanks for understanding where I was coming from. I LOVE this hobby and hate to see my fellow enthusiasts "taken advantage of" or having their intelligence insulted just to sell an inferior offering. I would LOVE this plane, just like the 1.5m if they would fix the assembly issues. If it were easy to setup, the price difference would be a tough one to ignore.
Flew it again today. I removed the vector out. cleaned up all that wiring. Installed a AR631 and all the jerky servo delay is gone. Now I fly the Piper Cherokee and the SK with the same Radio. After some adjusting it now flies like a dream.. Thank you Brian for your help and support. Also your camera crew is fantastic.
Oof! This was a rough one! I was so stoked to see a new BPRC video drop. But, when i saw 4+hours of UBRS, i thought, "Oh no. Its like the Dynam Storch!" Glad your marriage is strong enough to survive this build... well, so far anyway. 😊 Thanks Pham!!
Hey Brian I wanna make mention to you that I have the fms 1500 mm Cessna the new one and when I put it together and I flew it on the seventh flight the strut moldings pulled away from the fuse on the airplane and the wings were flexing crazy and I thought the wings were gonna break in half but I got it down safely without destroying the airplane or else I would have been very mad spending $300 for that airplane and then destroying it because of a China mistake from the factory. I had to wind up regluing them back on with China glue. Now they are nice and sturdy and aren't going to pull away again.
That's terrible!!! They need to replace the plane. If they don't - tell me, and I'll go to bat for you. I didn't loose my strut mounts - yours must have had a structural deficiency, since it's the first I'm hearing about this issue. Please email us if they don't take care of you. We'll try to help, so long as you're honest, and can help us communicate what happened, if and when we get to that point. FMS is willing and able to fix issues, and to be fair, Arrows would too, but on THIS particular issue with THIS plane (Sky Cruiser), you would have been the one who "screwed up" - so you evidently got our message. Seriously though, get that 182 figured out, and let's get you taken care of.
Hey Brian I won't pursue the strut mount holding issue with FMS because it was a easy fix. I just wanted to make you aware of the issue i had. I really appreciate you wanting to go up to bat for me with them though, thanks again!!!
I found your video after I got the plane. All the problems you had I am going through. The light cable broke like yours, I used CA and fixed that. So far it is going good since I know now what is going to go wrong. LOL Thanks for the heads up on my upcoming frustrations.
Finally got it finished. First flight was a nightmare. The rudder servo went to full right and locked. It took full ailerons to keep it level. I made a hard landing without any damage, I don't know how. I checked and found the servo got so hot it melted the case. Going to replace it with a metal gear 9g servo.
Yesterday I bought the Arrows Sky Cruiser and it cost me $179.99. I already hace the FMS Cessna 1.5m wingspan and it cost $299.99, so the difference is currently $120. You get what you paid for. Sorry for my English, is not my native language. Thanks for your video. Regards from Colombia (South America).
Another thing Brian that I meant to say on my FMS 1500 mm cessna is i cannot get the wings back off of the fuse. No matter how hard I push the release buttons, I cannot get the wings off of the fuse, they just will not unsnap. So they are stuck on,hate that! This is a great video thanks to you and the camera crew for.saying what it is 😊
Oh no! That's weird -wonder if there's something wrong with yours???? You took off the struts first, right? (might be a dumb question, I realize... if you had a second set of hands could you do it...should be easier the second time. These clips CAN be tighter from model to model, we've found.
You're making me unsure now that I ordered this and I hope to receive it on Friday in the post, it was a little scary being a beginner as it says in the advertisement, I hope I haven't bought the black cat in a bag, but let's fly my horn acrobatics nice and normal flight and hope it goes well. It felt that there was a bit too much negative about the durability of the Cessna. But ok, the plane is ordered and on its way and I'm looking forward to it and with the hope that there won't be an accident on the first day, I'll have an experienced RC pilot with me, so we'll see. Greetings Kvilhau from Norway
It's a good plane, but you'll HATE putting her together. Once that's over, and you've used up your quota of bad words for the year, you can enjoy the flying just fine. She is very well behaved, and flies ALMOST as good as the much better, but slightly more expensive FMS Cessna 182 1.5m, which is and will always be the option we'll recommend at this size class and price point. The small increase in price is WELL worth the less toilsome build process. bprc.me/FMS_Cessna182 vs bprc.me/Arrows_SkyCruiser (AKA Cessna 182 1.4m)
About 3.5 hours in to the UBRS video, i was pretty sure either the SkyFlopper (or whatever theyre calling that plane) or Brian was destined to wake up at the bottom of the pond wearing a set of concrete loafers... Hope the kids have noise cancelling headphones or the doors are fairly "kitchen profanity" proof 😂 It looks like a real nice... um... spinner? The wheel pants look nice, too. At least the Nav lights dont blink. Right? 👍
Hey Brian, I didn't realize I had to take the wing struts off first to get the buttons to release the wings. I knew I had to take them off before taking the wings off 😂😂😂
Did you see all the hype about the new updates for Spektrum nx series. I was able to activate 10 more channels on my nx10. After doing the new update. I now have 20 usable channels on my nx10.
So it also works with the 6 and NX8 nx6 has 12 and the 8 now has 16 usable channels.. that's way cool. Every one should make sure they do the new update . Then go in systems and activate the extra channels
After new update. G to system set up. Then scroll to frame rate then 9ndgr . Activate plus. You will have double your usable channels on your nx series transmitter.
@@BrianPhillipsRC No idea sir. I got my first FMS 1400mm 4-5 years ago and it never had that problem. I remember that you have a video of this plane too and in this video, it also didn't do it :D
Well, its well known that FMS builds many of the Arrow planes, which isnt a bad thing. It looks like it needs 4S. Its the same power system as the Bigfoot, so shouldnt be a problem. I hate having to install control horns more than anything else. 100% that shouldnt be my job. This looks like a throwback to 5 years ago.
Arrows is worth it for many models, but this might be an example of one that was beat handily by the latest FMS offering. I really wanted to hate this plane, after how terrible it went together, but DANG-IT, she's great in the skies!
How long ago did you guys film this video? I don't see the pond in the background, but I am half blind! Other reviewers have complained about this build, too. For $180 with $50 off...still just a big maybe for me. Given the build nightmare, no thanks!

Nice review Brian and crew. Arrows had done pretty well so far so it's a shame when the mess something up. At least we have the bigfoot 😂

Density altitude affects aircraft performance. Higher density altitude implies lower performance. I recommend turbo charging in such cases. 😁
This plane could use a turbo charger - LOL ;)
Hey ... Looks pretty nice... and already built... wanna sell it now? ;-)
Love your (inclusive... Camera Crew rocks) reviews!
Thanks & Glad you GET IT ;)
Just found out about the new firmware on spektrum IX and NX transmitter will ADD channels! I'm hoping you do a video on it soon.

Yes, it's awesome!!!
@@BrianPhillipsRC 👍 and the as3x plus. Very nice gain upgrades
Where is your flying field? Your backyard?
What? Your FMS did have flashing nav lights? It had solid nav and landing light and only flashing beacon on its tail
NICE! Wonder if they fixed the issue!!??!?!? That would be AMAZING!

For me I think I'd rather have the Seagull 1.5 182 Cessna PNP. Plus it's wood construction
To be fair, it's not even close in class, but I would agree, I too would rather have that plane ;)

THANKS, BRIAN , GREAT REVIEW, SO IT'S A NO GO. BUY FMS INSTEAD, ARROWS ISN'T WORTH IT. GOT IT. 😊
