This recipe looks so good. My second Nesco arrived yesterday so I will be able to can 8 quarts at a time or 10 pints. I am 81 and disabled so I can't handle my big 23qt canner anymore. Thank you so much for getting me back Into canning again. I am prepping for 9 people and your recipes will be so much better then store bought food.
Oh thank you, thank you!!! Got Nesco canner and asked for more recipes with meat. Love this and going to do this one with my new Nesco. More recipes with meat please!!! You are the best!
thank you, i think i will do this this week, as i clean out the freezer, i always find some good little tid bit in there that surprises me and i am able to can. thanks
Dr. Pam my hubby just asked me to start a notebook with all your recipes just in case the grid goes down…I told him you had a cookbook coming out and we are so excited about it! I’ll still start the notebook though in the meantime..you are just too valuable!❤️
Watching your vlog from the Philippines! Thank you for tirelessly sharing us this very informative, helpful and liberating vlog! More power to you and God bless you!
Oh yum🥰 That looks so good I can almost smell it😁Jim gave you some gorgeous roses, I just think they are so pretty. This is a great recipe! Thanks for sharing the video
I am new to watching these videos. Such valuable information! I am buying a pressure canner and cannot wait to join along in food preservation. I have written down every pressure canning recipe that you have done and I will use them for a three month supply. Thank you ever so much!!!
Hi Beth! You picked the right channel! She taught me how to pressure can in September 2021 and I’ve been going like a bat out of you know where…🤣🤣🤣. I actually just finished 9 pints of chunked beef and 9 pints of chunked chicken. You’ll love it, and welcome to our community!! Connie from Michigan
@@cbass2755 Hello, I see you *around*. I bought a pressure canner, too, but still working on my nerve to start. Glad you are getting it all done! Down south in TX here. :)
@@masonhamlin3921 Hi Mason! How nice of you to say Hello to me! Please try not to be afraid of pressure canning. I was too, terrified. But i got mad at myself, followed RoseRed's channel on how to pressure can and did it! I'm 68 and if I can can, you can too! Try with water first, get used to the sounds and the canner itself, and you'll be just fine. Good luck! Connie
Pam, good morning! I just received my Nesco! Lord in heaven what a time I had getting it! Thank you for this recipe. Gravy…wow! Hubby will love that! Blessings on you both.
I absolutely LOVE watching all the informative food pre ideas, dehydrating, freeze drying, etc. Thank you for just being so REAL!! God bless you and your husband.
Oh my goodness. I just found you. I am thrilled. I have been canning my entire life, the past few years I’ve learned how to can meats and soups. I am so happy to have found you. 😁
Great Granny Free Bird - I would think that you should follow the rule of canning for this one... Hot Food, Hot Jars, Hot Canning Water (but not boiling...yet).. or.. Cold Food, Cold Jars, Cold Canning Water. It's the best rule to follow, hope this helps. Happy Canning. ~SuzyJC-in-Pataskala-Ohio/USA_01.30.2022~
My goodness, the sirloin looks yummy. The onions and mushrooms, the gravy look great too. I have some sirloin I the freezer. I can't wait. You have made it look so easy! Thank you so much!
I did this just the other day and it went beautifully. Can't wait to try it out. Also did 4 with pork loin, mushrooms and onions and 4 with chicken, carrots. Mushrooms, onions. I intend to do 4 with beef, bell peppers and onion. That will make me 24 jars for the pantry. Mushrooms add so much flavor. Thank you for your excellent teaching. You make things very clear and understandable. You are a real gem.
Robbie: Twenty-four jars for the pantry, that is really great! Please tell us about your results for more of the recipes that you can. Thanks for watching our channel. Jim
Thankyou Dr. Pam and Jim, in our cookbook from the 1700s' this is called Cullis. My Grand Mother would used the brown drippings from any meat, (my fav is lamb) you can use little meat if you don't have lots, and the same ingredients..never thought to pressure can this up.! It makes great curry base too. Now I'll have to make this..lol, I can smell it cooking! Blessings.
So happy I found your homestead, been watching for a good time now and I love your video's. I learned so much from you. I started my own cooking channel but i'm learning how to can my food.
Pam, you have hit it out of the park with this one! And yes, I agree with Jim 🌹🌹🌹🌹those are beautiful roses! Thank you so much for this amazing canning recipe. 🏆
Wow that looks so good. Hope I'm not late for dinner. Thank you so much Pam. We are preparing for freezing weather in Texas. This is just in time. Donna
Pam, thank you so very much for yet another great recipe. I can't wait to make this for my husband to be able to open after a long day of work. We have found ourselves in one of those unique situations due to this pandemic that we all have suffered through. My husband lost his job here at home because of forced layoffs and has had to take a job out of state. Poor guy works all day and comes back to his one-room rental (bedroom in a large home). He has cooking privileges but is uncomfortable cooking as the owner has a multitude of allergies and he is always afraid that something he cooks may set them off. Because of that, I spend a lot of time here at home prepping our meals and either freezing portions for him to heat in the microwave, or I can batches for him to store in boxes in his closet so that when he comes home from a long day he only needs to heat something up to eat, watch a bit of tv and fall into bed exhausted. I try to do everything I can to keep him from going through a drive-thru on his way home. The roses Jim bought for you a gorgeous, he is so thoughtful and loving... I can remember the days when I would receive roses for no reason at all, just because he knew how much I loved getting them. Unfortunately because of the economy, those days seem to be gone, but I do try to keep my beautiful gardens during to growing season. For now, I only have a ton of snow outside and temperatures dipping into the single digits. Blessing to the both of you always - Stay healthy. ~SuzyJC-in-Pataskala-Ohio/USA_01.30.2022~
Thank you for sharing those have a beautiful color and will taste so good even if you just open the jar and add some pasta for a soup instead of thickening for gravy.
Sounds amazing -- will do this soon. Made your pie crust again and it is amazing!! Put my canned cherry pie filling in; I think the canning recipe was also from you!! Delicious and my husband loved it... Thank you for all your valued videos!
Thank you for figuring out a way to do this that is safe. My husband will rejoice that he can have gravy with meat and mushrooms. Simple to use flour after it is open.
I always feel safe canning from your recipes. This will be a great addition to my shelves! Thank you!!♥️
Same!!!
Thicken lightly with flour and then mix in sour cream. Serve over wide noodles for an easy stroganoff. Yum!
Or a little cream cheese.
Pam you ALWAYS bring a bright a spot to our day! Thank you for ANOTHER fantastic addition to our pantry shelves, it just looks delicious!
