This is the best holiday movie. We watch it every single year. Last November my son was in a near fatal car accident and he woke up from the coma before Christmas and we watched Elf in the hospital together.
Good job, you've made a memory with him thats gonna stick around and maybe get him thru hard times

How is he now?
He was 21 at the time. He was in a coma for ten days. He broke his eye socket, nose, clavicle, sternum, broke 15 ribs, tore his aorta, punctured his lung, ripped two fingertips off, his femur broke in three places and came out of his leg, and a large portion of his foot was ripped off and part of it then had to be amputated. I was told it was unlikely that he would survive. He’s now 25. He came home in a wheelchair, progressed to a walker, then to a cane….now he walks independently except for the prosthetic brace on one foot because so much of his foot was ripped off in the accident. He’s coming along and is now at the point where he’s trying to move on and figure out what he wants to do with his life but he will be limited to some degree because of the constant chronic pain.

Will Ferrell did such a wonderful job playing Buddy that I don't see an adult male pretending to portray an elf. I see a fully grown man that thinks he's an elf because he was raised by elves. I know he's told the truth as that's why he's looking for his dad in New York but Will Ferrell as Buddy is so believable!
My favorite line: Buddy whispers...he's an angry elf!

This was awesome! I only knew a few facts like Will Ferrall's brother was in the movie, Peter Billingsley had a cameo and that one building was also the same building where they shot Dana and Louis's apartment in Ghostbusters.
Why would you not count Home Alone and Home Alone 2 as "holiday movies"?

whew! that was a lot of facts! My favorite parts that were covered in this video, were all of the scenes that were homages to various classic Christmas movies. And I loved the fact that Will Ferrel thought this movie would end up being the end of his career. Cool that it did the opposite.

I love elf, bad Santa and love actually. The6 are among my top favourite Christmas movies and lord of the rings is one of my favourite movies too so that year was AWSOME.

On fact #70. I used to think the maple syrup scene from Buddy was a reference from “To Kill a Mockingbird” when Jem invited his friend Walter for dinner. You can see Walter putting maple syrup on his meat (gross😬)

Technically Buddy wouldn't be able to run for president for a little while. Yes, he was born in the states, but he lived there only for a brief time as an infant before going to the North Pole.
