You're welcome, I don't see any handheld updates on the horizon just now, but check back and I'll keep you posted. The app right now is selling in iTunes & Google play for $19.95 .. only diff is no backspace key - you "swipe" with finger on your phone to edit a mis-keyed input. FYI :-) User's Guide built in just press function button and hold & it will bring you right to that page - it's pretty slick. My best!

Thanks for the great comment, glad to hear you're happy with our product! This latest version became available in 2010. Since then the price has dropped about $20 to help out our customers in hard times. Did you know we also have an app (latest version of course) available for both iPhones & Android, as well as iPad? Fraction of cost, looks & works just like the handheld. Thanks for your support! More info for both on our website incl. how to videos for calcs & apps.

There is a simpler way. For a normal 45 degree offset just take your offset and multiply it mlby 1.414 to get your travel and for a rolling offset assuming you are not bending your own angels and using regular 45s say its 6" rise and 5" roll do 6x6+5x5 (squared) and then the square root of that number is your travel

Awesome, thank you very much. I guess the app will do what I want. I'll probably go that route until a few more models come out. Thanks again.

The video was shot using our newest model that can directly solve rolling offsets with an unknown angle. Earlier versions have to tackle this in two steps. If your calculator has “% Grade” printed above the Angle/Slope key, please use the following keystrokes when your fitting angle is unknown: 17 [Inch] [Offset] 28 [Inch] [ Run] [Travel] 32 3/4 INCH Then set this value as Run and enter the Roll as Offset, by pressing: [=] [Run] 6 [Inch] 1 [ / ] 2 [Offset] [Travel] 33 3/8 INCH

I used the exact same calculations as you did and I came out with a completely different answer for the rolling offset. How is this possible? Thanks.

I have the "% grade" model. What model is in this video? I want the "newest and best" when it comes to pipe fitting. The old model is amazing. I had no idea you guys improved on it. I've sold probably 8-9 of them on it and they have purchased their own.

Hi there! The % grade version is the original. The model with the t.o arc feature is the latest and best model you can buy. No further updates in the works, so safe to buy. Hope that helps - good luck and thanks!
