- This video is the first part in a response to Gregory in Croatia. He asks what would be the right teas to buy and re-sell in 10 years. Before I can answer that it's important to explain the different tea factories and producers and their pros and cons. I give a background on some the different tea factories, their history, classic brands and products. I also talk about which pu-erhs I prefer to get from each factory.
nice snowy day.
Awesome. I could listen to this type of lecture all day.
+Callum Makkai ;-) Part 2 coming up in a few days.
I'd buy it. =)
Checking out your older films. Awesome Q & A. Your videos are valuable.
your way of explanation is so enjoyable, ... very modest and friendly with soo much insight... cool video.
Outstanding overview of this maze of a Pu Ehr journey. Thank you.
Loved this video! Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
I just want to say thank you for the videos! I have never tried Pu-erh tea before, but your knowledge and passion for it caused me to purchase my first tea set from your website.
Thanks again and I look forward to trying Pu-erh tea!
I really appreciate your knowledge, expertise, and sources. Trying to find a reasonable priced Pu-erh Shou and the flavor profiles I look for can be overwhelming. I was introduced to this tea about two years ago and have been trying to educate myself ever since.
Appreciate the video Scott, very informative. You should get with someone and do a documentary series on pu'erh/tea factories maybe? Well when you get the time, anyway ;)
Also, I can't seem to figure out if that is rain or snow in the background....
+dayvancubensis It would be fun to do... alot of serious research and translation work for me would need to come before a documentary, but it's do-able.
It's snow... ;-)
such great content and info!
Thanks for another great video, Scott :)
+ellegy Glad you enjoyed it!
Very interesting. I'm looking for the next video.
Great content, thanks!
Super interesting for a newb teahead like me
Haha! Just the tip of the iceberg!
Very interesting! I can't seem to find part 2... can someone point me to it? :)
Hahaha I got lazy and never made it.
@@Yunnansourcing I'll shoot you a mail at some point then :) And I've got some questions about wholesale pricing!
OK sounds good!
Is that snow ?
Great video is menghai dayi known to use pesticides ?
Tim Lane not sure about that. I have not tested those in a lab like I do for my own brand.
+Yunnan Sourcing it would be interesting to find out if you had to guess would you say yes or no ? thanks for the quick reply
really nice :)
Hello there Yunnan Sourcing, thank you so much for your videos, they are much appreciated. I love tea and have been drinking teas from China all my life, however I have never really known how to go about finding good quality tea. When bought in the West the gatekeepers are Western companies/teashops that choose the teas that they stock for their own purposes, (price - as in what they imagine the market will bear, etc) this means you often don’t find good tea even though these teashops market themselves as high end providers. I thought about buying from China, but am a little nervous as I am told it can be possible to be ripped off there, with an inferior product. Please could you give me a brief heads up on where to buy good tea and what are good sources of information. Who to trust, and who not to. And any websites you might recommend. I particularly like (Pu'er, and Longjing.) I really appreciate any help you might give me.
Kind regards Gin
Hi! Thanks for your kind words! I'm not going to recommend or not recommend other sellers of tea. I will recommend Yunnan Sourcing of course. I think we strike a good balance between price and quality. There is no issue with fakes when purchasing from us. If you like Taiwan oolongs check out sister site taiwanoolongs.com
I think the tea speaks for itself, but there is also good reasons that we have been in business and growing slowly for 16 years!
