If you kill him here and carry the game on, you'll find that he doesn't appear on the hologram messenger thing at X51 everyone just stands around. You have to spawn him to get around the glitch
I did this once and didnt know how to fix it. Took me a long time to realise the reason he wasnt coming up on the hologram was because I killed him here lol
He's not supposed to be killed here, given the indestructible window. But of course, gamers will always find a legit glitch. The devs should have flagged Page as unkillable here instead.
If anyone's curious, killing Bob Page makes him not appear on the communicator at Vandenberg, but it's not a softlock if you use the midair trick to skip Vandenberg. The only other difference is that he doesn't appear on the communicator in the ocean lab so you can't talk to him there. Infolink communications aren't altered by character deaths, and he's seen in the bubble interface in Area 51, giving his usual line about burning like the brightest star.
There is one infolink changed by character death. If you get Anna to open the locked door at unatco you don't have to kill her for the keys. You can do this with ballistic vests and Aug and have her run into the door. If she's not dead Gunther has different infolink calls in Paris. He also doesn't talk about her during the pre fight conversation. However, other NPCs do talk about it, PCs, data cubes, and Gunther's book logs.
I remember a very old thread from some gaming forum where someone knocked out/killed all possible female characters, and carried them to a suitable place to check whether you'd see panties, or something else.

If you kill Page in the Versalife building, the game will glitch when you reach Savage at Vandenberg. When Page is about to talk to you via the hologram comunicator to inform you about Tiffany's capture, the game cannot display him, as he is already dead. So whatever you do at that point, you cannot advance.
I realised this, it can be resolved by summoning Bob page by console command. He won't appear as a hologram, however will make his speech and then roam around the X51 Base
The funny thing here is: if you actually talked to bob page there he would talk to you like he would in area 51. actually it doesnt matter at all where you are in the game, if you spawn bob page anywhere he will talk to you like in area 51. Not exactly sure why because every NPC has dialogue specific to a map he is in except bob page. Other NPC´s just say random stuff that belongs to the map somehow or doesnt say anything at all.
That's because you don't come into contact with Page until Area 51. Not face to face, I mean. They didn't need to script any previous dialogue for him.
Yea thats true but then again no other NPC has this "interaction" with you if you are not in the mission that dialogue would be played in. For example if you spawn Lebredev in Liberty Island, he is not talking to you like you are on the airfield mission. I tried a few characters waaay back in the day when i messed around with spawning characters, doing stupid shit and all that and this boggles my mind since then why Bob Page is the only character that talks to you like this. Maybe because he doesnt have smalltalk in the sense that you can repeatedly talk to him but the very first communication you have with him is in this cinematic view in area 51. *shrugs* :D
The lack of smalltalk with Page might be the reason this only happens with him and no one else. Maybe the game gives priority to those scripts, and if they don't exist, it just skips to the cutscene. Coding works in strange ways indeed.

Don't forget you can also just shoot bullets through the gap in the window. Had no idea who bob page was my first playthrough, and plugged his ass plenty with my sniper... Pretty sure that playthrough bugged after for one reason or another. That or I just got lost.
This is fun and all, but if you kill Bob Page here, you won't be able to trigger his intercom message later in the game and have to start over or from this point again.

It's possible Maggie might not appear in other parts of the game though since if you kill her at the UC before you go to her apartment, she won't be at her apartment. I think its that way even if you don't talk to her. You can't even interact with Bob's NPC at all and since this is the only place he appears at it should't actually do anything. Interestingly though if you spawn his NPC at area 51 and get near him it triggers the "You're gonna burn alright" conversation. It seems like they might have intended you to interact with Bob at one point. I'm kind of curious about Maggie though haha.

so Bob Page is dead at this point, what about the chamber in Area 51 he would be in ? will it be empty or with his corpse in it? Or does he "respawn" ?
You know, the devs, and even the occasional modders, could have made this more interesting by giving Bob Page not only an invulnerability flag and be forced to run away, but also have what seems to be an energy shield sheening around him when hit. Maggie Chow will still stay expendable though.
Doing this wouldn't affect Bob Page's story, since there isn't anything in the game's story to allow for him to die here. However, Maggie can be killed the second you see her so this would have consequences.
What is this Maggie dialog? How can you trigger it? How come JC doesn't know about MJ12 and somehow got straight into versalife from the market. So many questions so few answers
This conversation between Bob Page and Maggie Chow will start whenever you get near this window down in the Versalife Labs. You're not even supposed to be able to talk to Maggie though, and since I came here early its a huge continuity error. It is possible to actually talk to her from the outside when you get close enough, but I had trouble getting it to work this time.

That was probably a foreseen bug and fixed by a summon.
Pretty clever to do it that way,as it avoids limiting your way of playing.

Apparently, it does bug the game out during a certain part. You'd need to spawn Bob Page in again to fix the bug.
