    "The BrahMos missile is detected only about 30 seconds before impact, and during this time, it doesn't follow a straight path. Instead, it performs an S-maneuver, which significantly complicates interception efforts. This combination of a short detection window and complex evasive maneuvers makes the BrahMos incredibly challenging for defense systems to counter and it is missing in video if included would be amazing to watch

    One thing which was missing is the terminal maneuver which makes it the deadliest missile indeed, along with 300kg warhead and mach 3 speed which is higher than mach2.5 on onix, it can seaskim as low as 3 metres from the surface. The speed is so much that it produces a kinetic energy equivalent to 32 times of tomahawk missile with it's 3 ton kerb weight. Moreover it can carry nuclear warhead to which gives India the nuclear triad where nuke can be launched from land, sea and air

    • @soumalyabarai5125

      in the video, he is saying that this simulation is "realistic".... he forgot that BrahMos has datalink, intermissile datalink.. Onyx had it as well, one would go up, track and designate targets, and stay there to guide the rest.. if that unit would get intercepted, another unit will go up and take lead..
      this simulation dosent have half the capabilities...

    • @mrmakhno3030

      He did mention it at about 10:00 and also in other video when Kalibr, YJ 18 and P 800 (have the same feature) was used but also without their real-life random trajectory maneuver.

    • @AnuragDDethe
      @AnuragDDethe 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I agree with everything else but it's not the Brahmos that gives us the nuclear triad. Brahmos is nuclear capable in terms that it CAN conceivably carry nuclear warheads, but we don't even know if the Indian nuclear warheads are small enough to fit. We have long used Mirages for airdropped nuclear missiles, our land strike capability comes from all the ballistic missiles we have, and our sea strike capability comes from the K-4 and K-15 SLBMs launched from our nuclear ballistic submarines. The point of Brahmos or why its dangerous is not being nuclear capable, we have many other options for that. The point of it is accurate and very hard to defend against attacks, especially on moving targets. It's better to use ballistic missiles against stationary targets as long as the object is big enough. The Brahmos can hit small targets accurately and also can hit moving targets like ships.

      @@mrmakhno3030 We don't know for a fact that India doesn't have tactical nukes, though considering our nuclear policy, we most probably have all or most warheads as strategic nukes. But all of that doesn't matter, as the Brahmos is capable of carrying even strategic nukes. The thing is, Strategic targets are usually big, cities, industrial complexes, ports, etc. Why would you use a Brahmos rather than using a much cheaper and more effective ballistic missile like a Prithvi or Agni Prime. The Brahmos is handy when attacking a small target accurately.

  • @Value_Pilgrim
    @Value_Pilgrim 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +225

    Once Brahmos closes into target it does :
    1. S - manuever : which makes it extremely impossible to intercept
    2. Sea skimming so its probably at about 10 feet about sea level.

      That is literally just made up lol. The Ukrainian air defence system has so far shot down about a dozen Onyx, according to the Ukrainian ministey of defence and US projections. The Russian missile with the lowest interception rate is the KH-22/32, which is a slightly older missile that has been heavily upgraded. Also, the "Western radars" in Ukraine are not exactly AEGIS, they're a mix of 1990s British and Swedish technology and older Soviet systems. In any case, the large number of missiles fired pretty much offsets the ability of Ukraine to intercept over a large front. We still don't know anything about accuracy or what sort of targets were hit. This literally proves nothing, there is no information to suggest Brahmos is better than any other modern ASCM system

    7:18 Okay that's not correct. Brahmos attains supersonic speed seconds after it is launched. Unlike other "supersonic" missiles which reach near their target before boosting up to supersonic levels, Brahmos reaches Supersonic speed seconds after its signature 90° turn post-launch. It is one of the signature characteristics of the missile that it reaches AND Maintains supersonic speed throughout its flight envelope. It helps the missile counter long-range detection, drastically reducing reaction time even if the missile is detected at extended ranges and ensuring high survivability during the entire trajectory.

    Rus used 223 P-700 Onyx in Ukr, which is the system based on which Brahmos was developed. 190 out of 223 found their targets when facing top of the line US and NATO air def systems. Brahmos primary improvement over Onyx is its 3D maneuvering capabilities in terminal stage to avoid aid def systems. Therefore Brahmos will be even more accurate. Brahmos a few months ago was discharged accidentally into Pakistan by India and Pakistan forces which use Chinese air def system were unable to engage Brahmos as it travelled unchallenged for 3 mins inside Pakistan for a total of 130Kms. These clearly show the impact a Brahmos battery on a carrier group.

    The Phillipines have no airborne radar so they could not avail themselves of the true range of the Brahmos missiles. They couldn't launch beyond line of sight for the ground based radar, or am I missing something?

      Any asset that could detect the ships at extended ranges, even if it be a guy on a dinghy with a smartphone could send rough GPS coordinate data which could then direct the Brahmos which, once within the range of their onboard seekers will then be able to home directly onto the ships.

      Yeah those are good points, the Philippines will not be using these batteries as a primary measure against a Chinese fleet, but more as a deterrent against the use of landing craft where the aim is shore defence.

    Aegis is capable of shooting down ICBMs at apogee, so I don't think DCS is correctly modeling how well it works.
    This comes from the Iranian attack on Isreal when USN used an Aegis missle cruiser to shoot down an exo atmospheric balistic missile

    • @John-d8p
      @John-d8p 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      These Russian super sonic anti-ship missiles can fly as low as 5 meters above sea level during their terminal phase, which means a shipborne radar can only pick it up at 20-22 km range, which is simply not enough time to complete the kill chain against a saturation attack. Plus, if the incoming incoming missiles are flying too close to each other, then it will further complicate target detection and given the short reaction window, I'd say this result is definitely plausible. Now, if you have an AWACS up, then it will be a different game.
