I am from Nepal.
I didn't knew that this much calculations is needed to make our flag.
We just used to draw some lines forming two triangles and randomly drew the sun and the moon.

Well, as said this approach is usually saved for borders, but with flag design like that people had to be meticulous about it.

The crimson red color represents the bravery(nepalsese known as brave Gorkhalis) and also the color of rhododendron (our national flower) and blue represents the peace ( country of Lord Budha).The sun and the crescent moon(which means our country gonna shine untill the sun and the moon lies) had the human faces which was removed during modernization...😊no doubt the most unique flag and the prettiest too..I have my exams in a week... Wish me luck 🍀

Find different ways to paint a sheet into thirds using red white and blue
Or the flag of Netherlands. And if you lack the blue paint, worry not, you can still make the flags of Poland, Indonesia and Austria.

First thank you numberphile for the wonderful video. Really appreciate the hard civil engineering work you did to showcase how Nepals flag is made. Second, all Nepalese viewers share this thing, especially to 9 -10 graders who need to make nepals flag all the time. At least they will begin to appreciate what it took for the creators.
I just hope you realize that it was an engineer who came up with the design during King Mahendra's reign. Mahendra wanted a unique flag that would represent Nepal the best.
