To everyone that keeps saying get 750ti LP or 1050ti LP... The 7020 sff is about 3 inches shorter in height when compared to the 7010 sff so unfortunately it will not fit. The pcie x16 slot is only about an inch above the power supply in the 7020 sff (this is the model being shown in the video) so there is not enough clearance. You are right though, the 1050ti LP fits perfectly in the 7010 sff or larger case. Just not a 7020 sff or 9020 sff.
Dell hurt (IMO) their customers after the 990 SFF by moving that blue PCI-X graphics card slot closer to the PS so that any decent wide low-profile graphics cards cannot be installed. I don't understand why they would have bothered swapping the 1x and 16x slots other than they were trying to keep people from turning these great SFF Optiplex systems into perfect entry-level gaming rigs. Even right now, if you get your hand on a Dell Optiplex 990 SFF, with an Intel i7, put in 16GB-32GB of DDR3, a 500GB-1TB SSD, and a low-Profile GTX 1050 Ti graphics card (Gigabyte makes a great one, but there are two other brands that do as well, can be found on Amazon), it's a VERY decent entry-level gaming rig & have been EXCELLENT for our highschool and middle school Esports teams that are starting out because it's affordable enough to set a standard, baseline system, plus it still performs well. yeah I was looking to buy that too.. but as kept on looking at the PCIE x16 slot on the dell it will not really fit. even if it has only 1 bracket on it, the cooler is the biggest part of the card which doubles the size actually. OR
just get a GT 1030 lol
yeah I was looking to buy that too.. but as kept on looking at the PCIE x16 slot on the dell it will not really fit. even if it has only 1 bracket on it, the cooler is the biggest part of the card which doubles the size actually. GT 1030 is your best bet if you dont want to MOD your dell. but then again less performance.
what is the exact motherboard of Optiplex 7020 i5 4690? Is it transferable to another case? is the temperature on this case normal?
In dell forum some people asks for upgrading to 32gb but no respond. In datasheet says 16 max but cpu support 32 😵🤡
Hi, yes just to confirm this PC does support MAX 32GB of RAM.
7030
HD 7750/r5 250 (same cards) is a better choice of super cheap card. Obviously a 750ti, GT 1030 2GB DDR5, rx 540, GTX 1650 low profile are a lot better but cost that bit more.
