Worth noting: the distorted Korean vocals in the beginning are from the character Don Quixote's introduction during the game's prologue. Specifically, it's her saying "I am [Don Quixote]", but her name is cut off, which is... thematically relevant, to say the least.
I recommend you to react to "Limbus Company - Leviathan" which is the leitmotif of Limbus Company for main characters. This leitmotif appears in this song too :D. And also sometime there are clock sounds in the song preferring to the main character who we played as a manager of the Bus have a literally clock head (he cannot talk but can telepathy with team members (the sinners) but for others people, they just hear tick tock sound lol).
Spoiler warning To explain some of the context of the music. Throughout the battle, different sections start to play or get added. The song takes place at the climax of the story, where the character is split between two options that would greatly impact their future. The first half is dominated by the vocals, symbolizing the characters previous life. At that point the character is resolved in her ways and is going to stick to her usual way of life. But then at 2:00 the song switches to the leitmotif that we call the Leviathan motif it symbolizes one character that she looks up to greatly, like a guide of sorts. Who comes into her life and presents a new path for her to follow. Then the instramentals join in, which symbolize her friends, who act like her new family, trying to convince her to go on that new path. Then the vocals come back and then the vocals and instrumentals ‘fight’ each other. The fight symbolizes her instincts to follow her usual path and her friends fighting each other to bring the character down one path.
Additionally, around 3:15 there's a brief snippet of the leitmotif from "Pass On", the song each sinner sings at the end of their Canto that symbolizes moving forwards from their pasts. It's like the song itself is swelling up to fight back against the oppressive atmosphere, I love it so much.
I personally feel like that the Lietmotif in Leviathan isn’t necessarily Red Gaze’s light motif. It’s heard throughout the entire game, often in themes related us winning (in normal battles). So, I’d argue it’s less Red’s leitmotif and more our crew, Limbus Company’s, leitmotif. That’s my two cents, anyway.
This has to be my favourite battle music for the entire canto. The horror vibes from the gothic chanting paired with the spanish guitar is an unorthodox combination that fits perfectly the theme of the canto, and having the gremlin's introduction echo in the background reinforces what you're actually fighting for. Then there's the Leviathan leitmotif. It appears frequently in many battle themes when you're winning fights, but as the music always fits the circumstances of the story, it's usually either dark or aggressive. But here, it marks a turn for the optimistic, one might even say the heroic. The sinners may be a band of psychopaths and idiots, but' they're _our_ band of psychopaths and idiots. There have been moments before that they've shown it, but right here is where they affirm that they're basically a big unhinged family and care about each other, and they start invoking the dumbest shounen anime tropes to prove it.
My favorite part of this theme is that it contains both the La-Manchaland and Limbus Company Motifs, representing the character’s inner turmoil between which faction to support.
A few songs to react to since they pretty much go together Canto IV Battle Theme A1, Battle Theme B1, and Battle Theme C1. Each song amps up in intenseness.
I like the addition of informational bits you added to the video, really helpful for a non musician like myself. And then, if you don't know which song to react to for Project Moon universe, here are some that I recommend! 1. Library of Ruina (LoR) - The Reverberation Ensemble Distorted 2. LoR - Early Battle/Enemy Battle 3. LoR - Theme 02 4. LoR - Lobby (very short though, maybe put this together with enemy battle) 5. Limbus Company - Leviathan
I was surprised it wasn't commissioned, i guess I'll give the context. It's almost final battle of the chapter where you have to fight person from your crew and in the story character goes through "the person you once knew is dead" moment, but during the battle you reasoned them slowly to comeback. That's why in the beginning music has some dark souls vibes and grows more emotionally complex later on. My recommendation is to listen 2 boss battle of canto 7, the theme of the parade
the shadows, king? the shadows by taishi? 🥺 also, man, the leviathan leitmotif kicking in (at 2:02 in this video) never fails to get me right in the heart
If you're looking for more Limbus songs to react to, I feel like "Leviathan" would be a good one to do. It's not too long, but its a main theme of sorts for the game with its leitmotif appearing constantly in other tracks, and first properly used in-game in Canto VI.
Many has said it already... but it would be nice if you checked "Leviathan" In the [lim]bus we have the 12 sinners, the Manager (whom you follow), Charon the driver... and The Guide: Vergilius Vergilius never involves himself with the main cast, but his theme sounds pretty much everywhere in Limbus Company, yes even here also "Leviathan" pre-dates Limbus, is very recent that it was included in-game, originally it was the song that played during the announcement/teaser of the short comic that starred Vergilius, serving as Limbus' prequel (the events of the comic happen between LoR and LCB)
Hey I've loved your videos especially the ALL the limbus company/project moon ones. One game I've been super into lately is SMTV:Vengeance and one song that I found to be an absolute bop was the Beelzebub boss theme and would love to see you dissect it.
While you're on the horror train I'd highly recommend Baby be Good from Reverse 1999 which is the boss theme from the current patch truly it was a disturbing experience 😬
For your next Project Moon song, can you do the Distorted Reverberation Ensemble? You did the regular version, but didn't see that there was a version that's cheering you on instead of being a boss battle theme!
At Last. Peak. This has to be accompanied by Canto VII Boss Battle 3 as well, I find it equally layered, if not more so. It doesn't go as deep into one character as this one does, but its depth is across time and multiple different characters.
I recommend listing to Redeem The Future and Redeem The Future Finale from Xenoblade Chronicles 3 Future Redeemed. In that order same video. They are heavily connected.
Drakengard comment was seen...! Amusingly, it's connected to the nier franchise. (Which isn't obvious at first glance.) Drakengard 3 has many bangers. Drakengard 1 has... well. It's unique to hear an orchestra having a panic attack. I'll need to go make notes before coming with some sample reccomendations from that soundtrack. Now, since you are looking for limbus songs, I'll run off to lunartique and comb over songs that might have been overlooked.
please listen to mili's new song life we sow! or sustain++; their song for ghost in the shell sac, its a little long but its my favorite lyrical piece they've ever written
IN WHICH IS RECOUNTED THE LIBERATION FROM BLOOD THICKER THAN WATER
what the hell rizzy
@Stanlaitiere haii
@RezyGD you are so influencal

OF THE THEME OF FRIENSHIP, THAT MANAGED TO TRIUNPH OVER THE SUFFOCATING CHAINS OF RESPONSABILITY!
close enough, welcome back gurren lagann.

The vocals could symbolize her instincting thirst for blood while he instrumentals could symbolize the bonds she made with the sinners.

Never mind. Just learned that it _is_ Red Gaze’s theme. Tho, in game, I think it more so counts as Limbus’s theme in general

This theme contains leitmotifs from 2 different songs on top of original parts that makes it so good in the narrative.
My favorite part of this theme is that it contains both the La-Manchaland and Limbus Company Motifs, representing the character’s inner turmoil between which faction to support.
The theme of "Do we really have to do this? Please just come back ..."
Also recommend Leviathan, its the leitmotiff for this one and others.
A few songs to react to since they pretty much go together
Canto IV Battle Theme A1, Battle Theme B1, and Battle Theme C1.

A gem that i can recommend from Limbus would be "electic devilmaker'. A song that plays in Canto 5 in a Club.

oh now it makes sense how the leitmotif we're so used to came at the later half of the theme
Whoa, I wasn't actually expecting my recommendation to pop up! Glad you enjoyed it!
Yeah as others have mentioned totally reccomend Leviathan
The motif always crops up
IN WHICH IS RECOUNTED SPANISH GUITARS

WHEREIN OUR DEAR REACTOR BEGINS TO DISSECT THE GRAND SOUNDTRACK OF LIMBUS COMPANY ONCE MORE
Great vid! You should try fatal next, its actually amazing (I know it isn't project moon, but its just so good)
I recommend Canto V Boss Battle 2, I really enjoy this track and don't see it talked about often
Please listen to the one before this! Boss battle 3!
Also for recomendations, i think you never did Canto VI Boss 3 Battle Theme. that's one of my favorites

Am I the only one who hears Rasputin around the end?
Amazing video ! I recommend you Canto IV Boss 2 battle theme. I love that track

please listen to mili's new song life we sow! or sustain++; their song for ghost in the shell sac, its a little long but its my favorite lyrical piece they've ever written
React to All the limbus company boss themes NOW!!!
Did you recognize the Limbus Company (Leviathan) leitmotiv? It was in boss 1 too
this also kinda sounds like it could be in nier in a way
YOU SKIPPED 2 AND 3... Why you skipped my favourites? xd
boss battle 4 = distortions
