Haven talks about her experiences of singles conferences and why she'll NEVER go to one again! Later in the video Lauren caught up with Hattie from Hoot Singles who runs singles events in London. She explains why getting yourself out there and attending singles events is how to expand your Christian networks to find a partner.
Comment if you're also done with singles conferences. Would you go to a singles social event?

Please please please tell me more about these singles events with 90% women to 10% men;. As a guy, every singles event I have ever been to was almost all men. Seriously, I need to know. A room full of 90% single Christian women would be a miracle for me. I only need one.

Yes I've heard this one hundreds of times as well apparently according to everyone there are thousands of christian women out there just looking for us men that's definitely not being my experience every time I've ever gone to anything like this it's always been just men it will be fantastic if someone would actually tell me about all these women are
Only want one of them just the right one

Well, where are you based? As I can second what the video says these types of events tend to be majority women approximately 90% women and 10% men @king0009able

The events you’ve gone to are put on by Christian men who are looking for other Christian men but aren’t allowed too. The clue is who is promoting the event. Is it men or women? Women know what’s up and will stay away because they don’t want a gay husband.

This might be a case of unusual, dare I say flawed advertising, probably by one person. It _is_ more typical to be mostly women, and I say that as a guy who has (honestly) tried to avoid them. Pretty much for the reasons listed in the video sans ratio issue. Though that can be awkward for a guy minority too, especially when there is limited chance to chat.

I dont know why the whole 'Date my mate' that one church in London use to do years ago doesn’t still happen. Best concept ive ever come across for single events to this day that deals with all the issues that people have with this.

As a Christian single woman, if I knew my church was doing a singles' conference, I would expect what you talked about. But, if the church was doing a singles' meet up, that would be completely different. A singles conference in my mind would be for the sake of biblical encouragement while single, not a place to meet people (honestly).
Church conference equals speakers, worship, etc. not meet up.

I went to just one years ago. When I actually saw the types that were available out there I realized being single isn't so bad.

I would be very unhappy if I attended what I expected to be a social event ANF found myself sitting in a church service. If I want to attend a worship service, I will go on Sunday.

Just organise meeting events at every city, with proportion(ish) amount of man and women where they can worship God and have more time getting to know each others

Maaann, I'm the kind of guy who would stand up mid-service and shout to the pastor
'what exactly is the point of all this?! I was told this was a singles event, not a sermon on being single! I can get one of those from my mother!'
I'd make him do what was expected or make an exceptionally vocal exit. My annoyance would eaasilllyyyy transcend any possible embarrassment , lol
Next time ones available you should bring me. I'll fix this issue within the hour. haha

Just go, mate. And, just go mate. lol
For real, take a risk and put yourself out there no matter where you’re at: church service, work event, happy hour at the local pub, small group, cooking class, or even yes a singles conference. Go with this mindset: high hopes, low expectations, and simply to have fun getting to know new people. Also, give yourself the permission to fail and make mistakes! Making mistakes, even *gasp* offending some people is not a sin, it’s just being real and human. Even if you do slip up and slip into sin, remember the scripture: “Love covers a multitude of sins” and “mercy triumphs over judgment”. Peace ✌🏼

You don't sound like a Christian with a relationship with God or who reads their Bible lol. You sound cynicle and hypocritical just because you think it's ok to sin freely. More than likely, you think you can provide a little scripture and justify yourself into saying you're doing good in the world but you're really just like the rest of us. Get your heart right. You're a joke.
