  • This tutorial explains how to connect your laptop to the TV on the Harmony of the Seas ship to view your videos on the large screen. In addition, connect your Amazon Firestick to the TV. Connect a TP-Link travel router to the ship's Voom internet to watch streaming TH-cam, Netflix, Plex etc. Also, connect your Amazon Echo for streaming music and using other Alexa skills.
The travel router featured is the TP-Link N300 Wireless Portable Nano Travel Router(TL-WR802N), currently $29.99 at Amazon. Configure it with Quick Setup; set to HotSpot mode.

Gary it would be great if you could tell us how to connect this device when we get on the cruise ship. I have tried once already and could not get it to work.

make sure you buy TP travel router ac750 v3 , use ExpressVPN to get around the Netflix block on cruiseships and airlines wifi.

Does firetv stick not support the captive portal that the RCCL voom internet passes you to?

Tried your advice on the ship. Couldn't use it as range extender because I don't know the router password. Can you explain? Thanks

I tried to connect the router to Royal-WiFi, but could not figure out how to enter both the username and password for Royal-WiFi on the Router HotSpot quick setup screen. Can you help me understand what you did? Thanks!

Satellite internet on ships is not meant for youtube and firetv . You suck up a lot of data costing higher price for everyone on the ship including slowing wifi in your zone. Did enjoy your video thou

A word of warning: Extension cords are on the list of prohibited items, and will likely be confiscated. A spare battery might be a better option.

they allowed as long they are not the type that have a reset button for spikes as they affect the generators. also it must be power bar type to have a ground three prong type. this is allowed on RCL, Princess, Royal Caribbean . The older Carnival ships and Golden, Pacific, Sun, Grand, Caribbean and Crown electrical system are very sensitive
