W0W. Remember as a kid in mid to late 60’s getting Match Box cars for Christmas and looking at their display at our Two Guys department store here in New Jersey 😀👍
Yep, that pre production chrome #27 Lamborghini Countach blew my horns off. I was aware of its existence from Christian Falkensteiners matchbox pictures index, I have 52 variations of that model.
@@rockertron truly amazing! I remember you from the toy fairs mate many of my best matchbox cars I bought from you :-) Must've taken you ages to find those rarest ones, very few on the planet!
Too bad that this isn't a museum for these classes old-timer Matchbox toy cars. Especially if they're all for sale by auction. They all still look like Paul Restorer's finished work. These things aren't stored in a special protective case.
Correct, but as with the majority of collections, models from gift sets, multipacks, twin packs etc are in boxes. Pre pros, colour trials etc never came in boxes either but we as collectors put them in boxes. I personally don't like twin packs/multipacks so I would rather have a different colour model in a box rather than without. The fiat [as with most models] has several box variations so its nice to have a different colour rather than having the same turquoise version. You will see plenty of models in the collection as examples of this and is okay with me and everybody I know. The red Fiat is also the correct time frame for the F box and looks good to me. You will also see the gift set with the red fiat in the collection to satisfy any hardcore purists. Regards Graham.
@@rockertron wow. amazing my friend. i know exactly how you felt doing that..i have a small collection around 100 of all play worn corgi/Dinky just so many memories. can i ask what was the end £ amount of them all. if you would rather not say i totally understand would just be so interesting to know. regards and much respect.
@@rockertron oh my goodness half a million, for toy cars that would have cost what back in the day 50p what a result. although you are now no doubt set for the rest of your days i don't think you can ever stop looking its in the blood...lol, but just wow bud, just so very interesting, ill have a look at that website. thanks for the time you gave...👍
@@kaywalker4433 Yes, mad isn't it? Although I did have some very very rare models which I paid a lot of money for and the condition was generally all near mint-mint boxed. I still collect but I'm more focused on my own childhood toys and just what takes my fancy rather than putting a historic collection together. G
Very high living, too fast going by the 59 impalas, my favorite along with 60 pontiacs and the pink and white t birds that i never was sure what year they were
C’est une magnifique collection 👍que de bon souvenirs d’enfance, à l’époque où les petites voitures étaient superbes ✨😉🇫🇷

Wow,..just Amazing,.. Wanted to ask what do you apply on the cars to shine that way,...
Nothing actually! Good storage and a dust free environment is crucial for old toys. If you need to use anything then just furniture polish is okay. G
Matchbox toys collection part 1
Is that a Dodge Wreck BP Truck (number 13) in reverse colours? It's worth a fortune!
Indeed! It made 10k on the hammer!

this collection is amazing but once i saw the Red fiat with a box ! That makes me question the collection! The red fiat only came in the G1 set
