Ah bless you, try not to feel to guilty my lovely, we have all been there with saddles and it may certainly not be your last with a saddle. Horses change shape all the time, even in-between fittings, which is why it's important for listening to the signs. You have got yourself such an honest dude there, and he could of really wanted you off but he didn't, instead gave you signs that wasn't to dangerous but have made you listen. I'm surprised the instructor didn't take a look at your saddle sooner so you could of all made a decision going forward into the lesson, but it's done now and you can move forward with a better fitting saddle and he can have lots of pampers ❤. The saddle before the one I have now ended up not fitting very well once the flocking settled and caused such tightness in his back, and that was after 1 hack and a 1 session in the school before he gave me signs it's hurting, the physio came out straight away and sorted his soreness but thankfully we now have one that suits him very well. Anyway, alls well that ends well, and your dude is fine and so are you, and thats main thing. Its hard not to feel guilty but by looking at his face with his pamper sessions there you are definitely forgiven 😊. looking forward to an update on the saddle and take care until next time ❤
@TheVocalEquestrian that's great your almost there with a saddle! It really can be a long and expensive process lol but all worth it when our fur babies are comfortable. I will say, since he has moved yards, he really has filled out more, and has much more of a top line, so he has definitely changed shape since your last saddle fit, which all makes sense now. Fingers crossed it's not much longer for you 🤞

Hope ypu can find a suitable saddle soon, I had to try a few before I found one with wide flat panels that suited xx
