What sanding mesh do you use for final sand of the ceiling top coat, 150, 180, 220? Do you always do it using the tool at angle? What about on higher ceilings?

How is the dust extraction with the battery hoover? I've tried my makita on a few different hoovers and nun of them seemed to work that great... think it's a design fault.

180 is ideal, this sander i have found it doesnt work well with other sanding pads, only the sandpaper types, not mesh.. maybe its just the way i have it set up.

So your tape and spackling with water soluble joint compound.. ...no actual plaster products being used.. unfortunately you weren't sanding plaster because In reality genuine plaster is too hard to sand... It's really disappointing to hear the new generation not understanding the difference between plaster products and cheap tape and spackling joint compound..

You are willing. There is many types of plaster, such as plaster of Paris, dental plaster etc. . all made by the same companies too here in Australia. What we don't call it is "spackle"
Everything is water soluble even concrete. The trade here is called Drywall Plastering. If it's outside and using cement based products, the call it a renderer of solid plasterer. And now I will share with you from Wikipedia...
Plaster is a building material used for the protective or decorative coating of walls and ceilings and for moulding and casting decorative elements. In English, "plaster" usually means a material used for the interiors of buildings, while "render" commonly refers to external applications.

@@Maxkil gotcha..it's an Aussie thing..and a new world generation thing.. in America plaster is completely separate from drywall finishing.. and our plasters are not water soluble.nor sandable.... I didn't realize the difference between the two countries... thank you for the insight..
