- The plaintiff says her son the co-plaintiff dated the defendant, and she moved into their home. She claims the defendant falsely accused her son of breaking her arm, so she’s suing for lawyer fee, court costs, and emotional distress. The defendant insists the co-plaintiff attacked her. She filed and restraining order and he was convicted for the assault. She’s countersuing for a medical bill and lost wages.

Been watching since JM went on the air...everyone I've seen who was convicted ( including this case) were convicted because testimony and evidence strongly indicated they did it. Only an idiot gets convicted in criminal court, then comes to civil court and tries to pretend that somehow the criminal conviction wasn't valid so the second Judge should disregard it. Bouncers have broke ppl arms restraining them at clubs. So since I could not determine I stayed neutral. I also notice she never mentioned any other incidence of violence so that is why I worded that way. But regardless, he hurt her, got convicted and needs to own it.

Your case and this case are apples and oranges. They can't be compared. Men can be abused, but most men don't partake in mutual combat. Most men who are not the abuser do leave the relationship, or they put up with it. It's rare to see a case where a man is being abused and stays to fight back, bc they know what they could look like, and they don't take those chances. A small percentage stays to fight back. Most ppl (even women) leave, if they can or feel they can.
But in this case, this man broke her arm within weeks of meeting her and that is concerning. There is zero justification for anyone snapping someone's arm in half like a piece of wood.
@@kietero you never have to defend yourself after the first incident if you leave the relationship. If you choose to stay and fight, then the person who stays in is just as guilty.
This is why you dont pick up strays. Look at someone's family before you choose a mate. You got those out here trying to survive and others that want to thrive with someone. Always look at the immediate and extended family because you are dating or marrying an extension of those people.

The defendant played the judge. Why would you stay overnight for two weeks plus, with the people with whom your arm was broken in a tussle? Why would you leave your dog there? Wouldn’t you want to break ties with them?

The majority reason why most abuse victims don’t leave the home that they’re being abused in is because they have nowhere else to go. Most homeless shelters or even battered victim shelters are full to capacity and underfunded/understaffed.
