I moved out of an apartment that had loud upstair neighbors who would go at it 1 am while I was working in the morning. I thought 'nothing can be worse than this.' Oh boy, was I wrong. Now it's not only the guy above, but the guy next to me too. One yawns obnoxiously loudly every 10 seconds right next to my bed when it's late, and the other likes to loudly bang on the wall or the floor for no freaking reason in the middle of the night and it wakes me up. Seriously...Why are some people so freaking inconsiderate?
@@John-lp5xh I just moved to a quiet place with a nice view. No one lives above me, just 1 neighbour next door ) I wish somebody noisy & impossible moved in my "old" apartment now. Revenge-gift to my ex neighbours )
it’s just the worst bc i just want my home to be quiet. id genuinely want to live if i knew my home was quiet. i’m okay with the public being loud, that’s their right, i can leave. but the fact that my home is loud too? there literally no escape? there’s no cure to misophonia? i feel like ive been cursed. i always think i’d be such a nice and better person if i didn’t have misophonia. it’s the worst ever. i have hurt myself so many times over it. ive been to a therapist. they just tell me things. words can only go so far. ive been having this for 10 years. ive heard it all. ive tried it all. i need a cure or i know for a fact i’m going to get so triggered one day and end it all. it’s so hard to calm down for me and one day i won’t be able to bc there’s no quiet to even calm down in. constant state of suffering. always suffering. never a day i’m not suffering. no one understands. it is the most lonely miserable suicidal experience ever. and i don’t just have misophonia so this is really the worst. life is really hard to enjoy. i don’t want to hurt anyone either. i just hurt myself bc i know i’m the problem. this is the worst. why can’t home be quiet?
I'm sorry to hear how you are. I've been on this journey for a decade till I moved into a top story apartment made of concrete. It's more than I can afford but living in a van is the next option if I can't manage this as prices get to be too much. I would just drive to crown land and live in solitude. I wish I could help more.
I feel your pain. Worse is when my spouse isn't bothered the same way, and I am going crazy with it. I am spending a lot of money to solve this issue as I am not sure how to enjoy life without dealing with it. I have a wedding venue next door at a 5-acre farm house who also has penned in dogs that likes to bark when they get lonely. I have spent thousands on trying to insulate my house and it doesn't matter. I now spend a lot of money each week for CBT in hopes I don't have to sell my house and leave my spouse.
@@00Tenrai00 People like to project their insecurities on to others especially if their light is bright. People didn't use to be like this on a grand scale like it is today. I'm 72 yrs. Old people need Jesus 😂
I've become almost out of control with rage at neighbors. I'm in Canada and suffer with alot of physical pain and my only refuge is sleep when I can get it. I'm such a light sleeper unfortunately that once woken I can't get back to sleep unless I take another pain pill which I can't take over my quota. This has cost me alot of money in moving expenses. Apts costs so much that I was always in basement suites and finally got a flat on the top. I just am so much more at peace, I still have problems outside in public by diverting noises that afflict me but don't feel suicidal anymore.
I have been struggling with this for over 3 years. I bought a new construction stacked townhome, which means there are scumbags living above me with wood floors and no rugs and no soundproof whatsoever. I hear stomping all day, washers, him urinating echoes thru my unit. They do not work and are home 24/7. It is horrifying. I am angry every day. I have exactly what you explained. I did not sleep for a year. It is pure torture. I cannot afford to move anywhere.
TH-cam has got loads of unpleasant sounding vids that you can use to make your neighbours the hell they make yours - take a look. I know how you feel I never knocked the ceiling down this weekend oddly enough it seems to have worked for now
@@theteal123 There are 100's of free downloads on TH-cam and some of them are very unpleasant indeed. I don't know how you have managed to put with it for so long - for me its been 2 weeks at the weekend just gone I almost knocked the ceiling down with a broom - I am certainly not as sweet tempered you - just type in horrible sounds for horrible neighbours have a good search round and follow the advice of the uploader. The woman upstairs plans to lay down laminate flooring (at the moment her flat is all carpeted) and I can tell now it will be over my dead-body - I will not let her upset my quiet little life.
I feel you. It’s torture and one can feel totally helpless! I found this video with sounds: th-cam.com/video/fUG9eLuNn_Y/w-d-xo.htmlsi=t6b_Obxrg01lb2Dy Don’t know if it suits you, but perhaps it’s something you can try. I really hope this ends for you so you can relax and sleep as a normal person again❤️🙏
If your Neighbour is a Narcissist and refuses to leave you alone....keeps you awake at Night.. every Night....deep breaths just won't cut it... another thing is... putting up and shutting up gives these idiots a reason to continue...you can politely ask them to keep it down..but the chances are if they do it at unreasonable hours...then that makes them ignorant to start with....they definitely won't comply...so it's game on... I've had 6 years of noise nonsense...I have tried EVERYTHING....now I'm going at their level...so we understand one another
Neighbour is determined to drive me and daughter by constantly knocking all night long and only stops when I have to get ready for work. Nast piece of work. Refused to talk it out. Just denies everything to police and council. We are stuck in hell at the moment
It's 07:56 and the couple [beneath my flat who have a toddler have been up since 06:45. Everyday, I hear door slams, the running of footsteps and loud conversations. Even as I watched this video with headphones on, I could hear them. While I do have misophonia, those people ARE noisy and even my other neighbour agrees. As I am housebound due to health problems and the Mom is at home all day with the child, I am being tortured by their constant noise. There is no escape for me
I feel bad for you. Earth is overpopulated and we should not live one above another. This itseis a stupid idea. To put any kind of culture and identities in one place 🤦♂️ I feel sorry for you
Get an apartment on the top floor of a concrete building. I've moved so many times, I'm on a disability so my options were so limited but was renting basement suits. I just couldn't bear it. Not fair to those who want to live their lives. I have to work p/t as a dog sitter which is so difficult but the days of living with sanity I would crawl to work than live how I did before.
Oh wow! I finally know what I called "sensitive hearing" has been ongoing since I was about 4 or 5 years old. I can't stand noise. Earplugs hurt my ears and I am sick and tired of using headphones all the time at all times. I have gone as far as adding wall insulation...I still hear everything!!!! Thank you so much for this video!!!!!!!
Find earbuds that are comfy. I use some with active noise cancelling...it works wonders!!! Also, I noticed high caffeine intake makes anxiety and the misophonia way way worse! I play music I like...it drowns all other noises.
@@Tracker5111 I agree, the caffeine intake can make you much more sensitive and anxious. Caffeine can even make some people paranoid. For me 2-3 cups of coffee per day is the limit.
My new nextdoor neighbour is using his apartment as a workshop, hammering, banging day and night. The upstairs women rides her computer chair all over the floor at 3 in the morning. I hurt my hand hammering back and have now resorted to super loud music everytime he hammers. I am swear alot at him. Landlord does nothing.
Sue the landlord. They are suppose to provide a quite environment. I got an attorney for tenants rights, just to write a threatening letter and management, got off their butts and did something. Best $400 spent.
I live in a terraced house, one side runs a child minding business and the other side blasts loud music all hours of the day and night. Also have the tv on full volume. I moved because of antisocial neighbours in my previous home. A neighbour below with mental health who would shout all night and smash windows. The neighbour above blamed me because I was so quiet l, he threw food on my doors and windows and would bang on my ceiling shouting. I have Autism and several disabilities…it’s hell 😢
I was just thinking about trauma and you have just mentioned it, this is what has happened to me as well. Neighbors who would be even more aggressive when I’ve tried to tell them to stop making so much noise. The anxiety that came with those circumstances have been very difficult to deal with. I have been constantly moving houses with no success and I have been very tired of it. As you said my nervous system is very sensitive, I’ve actually learned a lot about it and how to use breath to calm down but even with that, sometimes I want to yell at them ! How inconsiderate some people are, it’s unbelievable. I had a pianist playing and partying every day for over a year, it drove me crazy, could not sleep. Sleep deprivation is not helping with calming down the nervous system. I have been living with earplugs and music since.
Mack's Soft Silicone Ear Plugs were the only ear plugs that ever worked for me. I would break one in half, stick one half into each ear, and then use another plug to cover my ear holes. Then I would use soft wireless sleep headphones playing brown noise, or put my box fan on high, and it helped a LOT with drowning out the noise of my inconsiderate upstairs neighbors. However, it did not help the impact vibrations, or when someone dropped something on the floor. A couple months ago, I finally moved out of my lower-level apartment and rented a room on the top floor of a shared home. I found it on FB Marketplace. When I went for the interview, I made sure to ask about sleep schedules, noise rules, etc. I finally have some peace. I hope this might possibly help someone else here find a little relief. I'm so sorry for everyone going through this. I understand and it's terrible. Life-ruining...
I already had mysophonia since 2019 it started from the constant droppings & stomping from my above neighbour who just moved in with their toddler, and suddenly the goverment decided to built a new playground infront of my house with constants screaming from kids & banging from my top neigbor.. it made me go crazy back then but everything slowly getting better now but every noises really triggered me now even when im in public or when i hear screaming kids, idk it just felt like trauma
Leaf blowers, trucks backing up, dogs barking, people using power tools, horns blaring, sirens ... these all trigger enormous rage in me. Is that misophonia? I don't think any of the experts can explain this. It has nothing to do with trauma. It's a disgust with human evolution and our love affair with gadgets. Most people are desensitized or not affected. In any case, her solutions won't work with my challenge.
I really feel for other people in the same situation, I've thought, there's only 1 way to block it out. I know, not ideal, very permanent. I wonder how many suicides and murders stem from neighbours driving people crazy
I have no money to move.I have anxiety and sleep bad, 2 childrens of 9 and 12 years running screaming and singing loud.Their parents, my neighbours told me to move .I have noise cancelling headphone.
@@Bronka-xz2dj I’ve moved multiple times from one noisy apartment to another. I can’t go anywhere without noise. A lot of the apartments I had no choice but to move in due to my crap financial situation. I just moved into another building and the neighbors and the parking lot is insane. I can’t afford to buy a house any time soon. Im sick of not having any peace. People who have quiet peaceful homes tell me to stop complaining. Easy for them to say they get to watch tv without headphones.
Landlords are filthy hypocrites. Critical tenants cost money. In principle, no sound should come through.. 0.0 In the past, soft floor coverings were mandatory. All laminate and hard floors create noise. Should be banned worldwide in apartments, flats, upstairs houses. 90 percent of apartments are noisy and cause nervous breakdowns in people. Serious health problems. That in turn causes aggression, unemployment and healthcare costs. etc. good housing is important. National authorities require homes to be properly insulated.
Since lovely youtube won't accept my full, very long post: My mom died 2 and a half years ago from the stress caused by our extremely noisy upstairs neighbors. (Hellspawn) I'm extremely sick and slowly dying as well. There is no "coping", only pain.
I have suffered with this most of my life and im now 48, this likely the first time i have ever across someone who has a name for it or gets it at all. I was born with one arm so am disabled however i can safely say Misophonia is far more difficult and destructive to live with, yet no Dr really takes it seriously. One of the biggest issue with this phobia in my opinion is you cant actually get any sleep once it starts so therefore it snowballs anxiety further as you cant rest or recover and become more irrational. it is truly tuff. interesting and useful words Sandra
I’ve been living for 2 years in a multi-unit house with a neighbor right next to my door. It was a mistake to move in here, but even if at the time I knew I had misophonia, I was less familiar with it and just never thought it would be this bad. Almost every morning I hear a metal slamming door that echoes all throughout my apartment, or voices from visits or conversations / podcasts on speakerphone. My bedroom is the only place where I feel safe, where I can turn on the TV and the air conditioner and be protected from all noise. Noise cancelling headphones and music / brown noise are a blessing, but it is exhausting to use them all the time, plus I want to protect my hearing and not become overly dependent on headphones. I’m fine with using them in public, but it sucks to use them at home. I feel extremely depressed every time I walk past my unfurnished living room, since I see no point in investing and installing a TV, sofa… etc. while others my age (late 20s) are settled down in their nicer places. I pay rent but I don’t feel like I have a home. I’ve lived in 5 different places and have had to deal with construction noise, furniture being dragged, and the worst of them all: barking and howling dogs. Needless to say I feel angry and hopeless every day, isolated, no one in my life can empathize at a deeper level, I don’t know where my life is headed anymore.
I deal with this and sometimes there's no escape. I will say though that the best purchase I ever made was some high quality noise cancelling headphones. You need to spend 300-400 to get sufficient noise cancellation, so I understand if that's not realistic for everyone. But if you can, it is so worth it. With the noise cancellation plus my music or shows, I rarely hear a thing outside or upstairs. I've got the Bose QuietComfort 45's. Hope this helps anyone reading.
I have the Bose QC's as well, but my neighbours small dogs have that torturous ripping bark, hours on end. She cruelly leaves and abandons them on the veranda for 10 - 15 hours sometimes. I live in a lawless country with no help whatsoever from toothless condo managers to enforcement agencies who don't give a rats ass about stuff like this. When the small dogs are not screaching and agrily barking at every single thing, the environment is peace of earth. (I'm in a tropical area)
The annoying door slammers moved in next to me (3 floors house), I talked to the husband nicely about his son 3rd floor, where I’m mostly at, thought it was done, but 1 week later I heard his whinny wife complained about me not tolerating her son but they tolerate my loud autistic sister who lives 2nd floor. I hate their noises ever since then, I don’t make noises and slam doors, they’re the ones that moved in, yet I’m expected to treat her adult son just like my loud autistic sister, she and her daughter slam doors too even after a year so I guarantee they’ll still slam doors even if my sister never exists, she and her daughter throws stuff multiple times during shower over 70db and during 4am. I kicked the wall multiple times and she dared to yell back and slam door (there’s another neighbor next to them) God I really hate them
I'm autistic and sensitive to noise. Reading some of these comments, it makes my neighbour a saint although its taking time to doors opening and closing and his loud voice. Thanks for the tips
do not let them label you as mental. if you're mental, then what are your neighbors? they are INSIDE your home. notice that nothing is ever said about your neighbors being the problem, it's always YOU.
The breathing and thinking that I am safe really help. Even though I still get jumped and blood boiling etc by the noise, breathing and thinking I am safe helps calm my body. Hopefully eventually I can over come the noise and not get triggered by it anymore.
I learnt to cope with it over the years, I’m very sensitive to noises that I’m unaware of, but I confront myself with them and explain it not acceptable to make noises after 11pm -7am , i coping better with new neighbour upstairs on the flat 4 in middle , and I know when he plays Darts, it does make hell of noise even when in flat, I’m coping better and even i have to be conscious of my sound as sing DJ/ on Live stream and create trance songs etc, i have sound proof my flat not annoying down stairs or anyone, people near me are aware of what I do, I’m starting to function better but early days, it takes few weeks to get use to people, I’m glad I’m not alone in this situation, feel sorry people, who are going through this
I have misophonia and make music too. I find it impossible to be creative when the neighbours are being noisy and I am trying to listen to the music I am trying to make. I have started getting up at midnight and going to bed around 5pm so I know I'll have guaranteed uninterrupted quite.
So I have a problem... I travel everyday to my workplace. I have been trying to find a solution for this. I can bear all the sounds except the people's chattering. Now I am using Sony's noise cancelling earphones and feeling better. Thank you for the video.
Not only noises. My door is 1st when you enter the building. Neighbours keep stepping on my little doormat, although there are two big ones at the entrance. I find it so disrespectful, violation of my private space and property. I decided to move. Some of us like good manners and we need more respect to our privacy than others.
I need HELP and dont even know where to start 😢.My neighbor has an autistic child. He has never been sent to school and is very hyper active when his father is at home. I don't have any problems with the parents, it's just that their child really makes the situation difficult. Shouting, throwing things, kicking walls and other things that I can't explain because I'm so damn angry already.

@@sherylturnerturner1352so when that person moves and another person have to deal with this? Then what. My neighbors are a nightmare and blast their music like they are a club. They are so rude and sick. The landlord has threatened to evict if it continues but they don't care and keep doing it. I complained again and I hope they get a final notice to leave. Anxiety is not the word because the music is concrete sound. Anyone would lose it.., no matter what
We have found a house but it's so far away and I don't want to move. I'm currently in a lovely apartment close to family, but this misophonia is just driving me crazy😢
Thank you Ma'am for sharing. 💕 I knew there had to be a name for this - Misophonia. However, I don't agree with just accepting this that which is disturbing my peace, my health and energy. I do what I have to do in this on-going situation with what I call the N.O.U.Ns. - Noisy Obnoxious Upstairs Neighbors! I usually make myself scarce most of the day and if it's at night 🌙 I have security and the autho on speed dial!
I just moved into a senior community and some reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally love to gossip about me in a bad way.
Somebody help me understand is this misophonia?.. I have insomnia for most days of the week . So I game alot at late hours , am home alot but I have been hearing a thudding bang sometimes when I game , and I presume it's my neighbour hinting to me it's late at night and he is trying to sleep. And when they wake up , they stomp around to get ready to start their day sometimes even purposely drop things to create a disturbance .. I am becoming extremely affected now everytime I hear them above me, almost freezing to a point and try to not even move while in my seat . now I know , I could be irritating my neighbour but its a hand held controller not a keyboard on a desk . Am not clumsy and very self aware, I probably move around at odd hours which is my right!. Why do neighbours feel entitled to bang walls and control their neighbours in ways that can heighten one's anxiety... their needs to be better building designs and codes because we all deserve our privacy. So is this misophonia?
Misophonia literally translates to "hatred of sound". It's a condition where you experience an automatic "reflex" driven emotion whenever you hear certain sounds. Typically these emotions are rage, anger, disgust. The trigger sound could be breathing, chewing, eating sounds, tapping etc. It could be neighbour noise, which is exacerbated by anxiety at the anticipation of hearing that noise. It can really impact the emotional wellbeing of sufferers to the point that it affects the way they live their lives - avoidance, isolation etc. I cannot diagnose you but you can do an online test, here is a link misophoniainstitute.org/misophonia-test-do-you-have-misophonia/
It's your right to move around at night but if your up all night, even being quiet the people next to you won't feel rested in the morning for work. Talking to them is always a good thing to do before a emotions get to extreme. Maybe get a place where it's not so noisy if you are a insomniac, concrete apartments are fantastic.
Maybe you should invite your neighbor over for coffee/tea and maybe have a talk about ways that you could make the situation better for both of you. You may not get to perfect noise reduction for each other but find ways to reduce it to tolerable.
I have this issue with my neighbours. Currently it sounds like a gym nextdoor to my bedroom. It causes flanking through the whole house and makes me feel sick, gives me heart stabbing pains and wakes me up. I tried to complain by text but thscaused the situation to escalate because they did it more and more to entice a responce from me. Police said to not fall for the trap but ignore them. Before the gym it was parties, chainsaws, DIY, I'm saving up for soundproofing. Not sure if that will help.
Weirdly I have this for sure. And I'm a 6'4 130kg 40 year old aussie while male. It started when we lived in a house and it was just a nightmare......... it started one day, a neighbour moved out another in........ then then winged our mailbox was on her retaining wall, we moved it then she watered the mailbox, moved our bins, another neighbours daughters grey up and had parties....... doors wide open doof doof doof to like 2am, we called the police many times, there were kids constantly kicking balls outside....... I asked them to go to the park (2 mins down the road) his father took issue with this, then he would start a harley at 5am and let it warm up........ to annoy us knowing we hated loud noises....... there were more parties, more kids, then there were dogs barking, went to council....... we had a neighbour behind us, their probably was 1m higher then ours (retaining wall)..... their dogs barked at the fence 1-2M from our hall window........ for hours, there were an illegal breed, not registered, there were dogs 2 neighbours beside them same deal....... barking for 6-8 hours at a time......... combined it was a NIGHTMARE for me..... I had the weekends off, I couldn't sit in my own house peacefully, headphones wouldn't work nothing would......... it created this condition I now have I think........ every time we have a new neighbor move in (as we just have)....... I start to think F....... here we go again, they are always younger.......... older people are quiet, younger people are generally louder. Come home, they'd apparently been playing music all day from like 10am, it was now 5:30pm........ I yelled at them in rage, dunno if they heard me. But they had a party last night, not too loud thankfully............ but if it gets worse ........ I am worried, we cannot afford to move etc and where do you even go. You have to be rich to get something useful. Over here we'd need like 2-3 million dollars to buy a property close enough with enough space to have peace, nobody nearby. I am already looking and planning in my head. I just spent 10k adding car parks for my daughter and her boyfriend at the front of the house so they weren't parking on the grass which gets muddy in winter......... and now I face this. I am a big dude so sometimes when I am angry it has an effect as I may be scary I dunno....... but ultimately, I do not wish to be like that and the truth is people just need to TEACH THEIR KIDS to be considerate of others.......... clearly not the case. I think the people across from me who just moved in are maybe tradies, maybe a tradie I dunno, looks like a meathead...... I haven't had good experiences in my life asking people to shut up, I have tried nicely a few times, it's basically a 50% chance they listen, some just tell you to F off......... or act nice to your face then continue on. These days I just report it to council consistently....... I do have patience on matters, I know I am oversensitive but when my children complain to me about it......... my instinct is GO MODE. My kids know I'll fire up, my daughter likes to read and her room faces this new neighbor etc....... she was annoyed as she woke up early and wanted to sleep more before work...... They park on your properly like......... Maybe I am a Karen, I bought a bigger/big enough property to accommodate my kids etc if we stayed here for the rest of our lives with cars multiplying etc and alot of people around me are forced to buy the smaller properties the problem is tho.......... those with the most cars, buy them......... lol very silly.
I had the best neighbor in a townhouse where their garage is under my master bedroom. Instead of hearing music they put a subwoofer under my bed area in their garage that you didn’t hear but felt bed vibrating would turn it higher almost like being shocked. At 3-5am. Someone I never spoke to btw. Just decided to start doing this I guess to make me move.
My neighbour's son laughs funnily from his home or when I go outside in my garden, or when he sees me which is a trigger point for me. His father also laughs and speak loudly when he sees me or from his garden when I go to my garden.
Hi. I just can't understand why people have no thoughts for others. The rest and digest meditation really does work but the problem is, even euth headphones, you can be at that point of total relaxation, then bang, the dog helps, or they give out an exaggerated high pitched laugh that's just pierces your brain. I'm not an early Bird and believe in live and let live, but my limit is 1.30am. Can't believe the technology doesn't exist, i.e. total block out headphones.
I live in a split appartment into two studios. In the other studio lives neighbour that often invites friends thwt shout loudly, ge also got a dog that barks at them really loudly, so irritating and also anxiety driving, i dont know when he bans his door will he be alone or with noisy friends
Don't take it personally, but let's be honest we let the people building these homes with cardboard get away it . Or maybe it's an old building meant for a single family in the 50's but has now been converted into 6 studios. Everybody living there owns a state of the art home theatre system . Or drums . Whatever the case our homes do not even meet our own needs, let alone meeting the neighbours needs. The haves and the haves not.
Deep and slow breathing is synonymous with the "rest and digest" state, and should promote feelings of calm in some people. If a person is unaccustomed to deep breathing, or if they breath too much or too fast, it could aggravate panic for sure. It is always best to experiment and see what works. There are plenty of breathwork videos on you tube.
Interesting, no fight or flight, like training your body to not react to the noise? Deep breath, is that a 1-2 deep breath? or is there a certain rhythm to follow?
I know my neighbors slam their shoes on purpose at this point because what are you dropping daily! I’m so annoyed at this point I wish school stayed on break!
I've lived in a residential hotel for 30 years and within the last six months my next door neighbor started drinking and spends 95 percent of his time trying to terrorize me with loud noises around the clock. Dropping boards and metal objects on the floor at 4 am. He bangs hammers against the wall. He will spend an hour or more scrapping his chair across the floor. It's easy to figure this guy out. He had no life and decided that terrorizing me is his life. The weird thing is, I love music and he flips out when I play my music. I explained to him that what I'm doing is legal but his response to it is illegal. This won't last much longer. We're both going to be transferred to other hotels so they can renovate this place. He's going to have a hard time adjusting when he realizes he'll have to deal with his own problems.
OMG…That was disturbinGLY….AROUSING! The sound of your Angelic voice and your mannerisms. Oh what a sweet pleasant presence. My heart wants you to know that you deserve all the love jn the world.. And only you have mine.
I torture my neighbors they don't get to stalk me .... listen in through the walls they don't get to tell me not one thing ... I have won they are humbled by almost 100 percent
@@MysticalKittyStudios I agree no hate like the way Christians are hated ... it's just the same as witches and warlocks die a cruel have gotten stoned to death and hung , ya know? those who have Jesus cannot be harmed by sorcery . Take that from me . Those who believe in Jesus have him as an advocate and a protecter .
I live below an autistic brat who never goes out and stays in his room all the time in order to avoid his Uncle, who he lives with. He is always trolling me. When he hears me doing something downstairs he either game bombs me, moves his chair on the bare floor, or lately, dropping bowling balls or something really heavy on my head. I HAVE been using fans to mask it, but he has gotten used to the sound and can still hear me and harass me. So I ingeniously thought of another solution, I simply put a radio near my ceiling, i.e. his floor, and turn it on when I don't want to be harassed and trolled. I find that the radio works much better at "chopping up", the noise I make when I am moving around or when I want to get things done down here. So far it is working much better than the fan noise. They also used to "hide" behind a door sized piece of thick wood that I had stuck there to give them some privacy. But today I took the board away and now they have to have me looking at them all the time when they enter and exit. All in all it has been a rather good day today.
I also live blow a 16 yr old with hyper activity disorder and I think is mentally slow. I had a falling out with his mother back in April 2020. He was visiting relatives at the time elsewhere. When he got home he started this running around the apartment, dropping heavy objects on the floor, slamming cupboards very hard. Let me tell you first my bedroom is below the kitchen, I know crazy right?, so this kid stomps around the floor which is very loud he’s even jumped off something and landed with so much force that, I thought the ceiling was going to cave in. He’s not small he’s kind of heavy and also follows me around my apartment upstairs from his. He then makes more little stomping noises and generally harassed me. I call this harassment but, the manager will do nothing because the mother denied they’re doing anything. She plays the manager like she’s innocent and her kid. I hope to be moving to a new senior apartment complex within 2 to three years. I’m on a list to get in so I have to be patient. Oh I’m also currently living in a very nice apartment complex now on Sect 8. I pray I can move sooner. 🙏 thanks for listening.
Have misophonia, hypersensitive to sound all my life, diagnosed with hyperacusis last year. Insomnia kicks in. Depressed. Only got to sleep 2-3 hrs in 7-8 years when some stupid build bypass road just beside our house. Road not done yet, they race day n night w car, lorries, bikes, just last year another stupid build parking lot for their heavy vehicles also behind our backyard, which is near my bedroom. Dont care what time to fix their vehicles (late at night, weekend, 4-5 a.m), honking w their stupid stupid. How do they feel like disturbing someone to made me self harming & suicidal. And theres people saying our condition just "annoyed by sounds"
Take long slow deep breaths as you go directly to law enforcement to file a noise/nuisance complaint, and if that doesn't work, get a pro bono attorney to take them to court.
Yes, knocking on the wall or the table in the middle of the night, I keep wondering why they do it.

Absolute disgusting behaviour. How and why do some people have to be so mindless and lack consideration towards their fellow beings. Not nice at all.
it’s just the worst bc i just want my home to be quiet. id genuinely want to live if i knew my home was quiet. i’m okay with the public being loud, that’s their right, i can leave. but the fact that my home is loud too? there literally no escape? there’s no cure to misophonia? i feel like ive been cursed. i always think i’d be such a nice and better person if i didn’t have misophonia. it’s the worst ever. i have hurt myself so many times over it. ive been to a therapist. they just tell me things. words can only go so far. ive been having this for 10 years. ive heard it all. ive tried it all. i need a cure or i know for a fact i’m going to get so triggered one day and end it all. it’s so hard to calm down for me and one day i won’t be able to bc there’s no quiet to even calm down in. constant state of suffering. always suffering. never a day i’m not suffering. no one understands. it is the most lonely miserable suicidal experience ever. and i don’t just have misophonia so this is really the worst. life is really hard to enjoy. i don’t want to hurt anyone either. i just hurt myself bc i know i’m the problem. this is the worst. why can’t home be quiet?

I'm sorry to hear how you are. I've been on this journey for a decade till I moved into a top story apartment made of concrete.

Even as I watched this video with headphones on, I could hear them. While I do have misophonia, those people ARE noisy and even my other neighbour agrees. As I am housebound due to health problems and the Mom is at home all day with the child, I am being tortured by their constant noise. There is no escape for me

I want to leave these stupid noisy apartment neighbors. I want a home, …a quiet home.
I’m sick of moving. Can’t afford peace n quiet. Apartments are profit boxes
Lets share a house. I'm just about done with flats too. Can't handle it anymore. Where do you live ?

All laminate and hard floors create noise. Should be banned worldwide in apartments, flats, upstairs houses. 90 percent of apartments are noisy and cause nervous breakdowns in people.
It is more common than many people realise! If you continue to struggle, do let me know if I could help you, Sandra
You are not alone🌱same🌱
I deal with this and sometimes there's no escape.

I usually make myself scarce most of the day and if it's at night 🌙 I have security and the autho on speed dial!
I just moved into a senior community and some reaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaally love to gossip about me in a bad way.
these are the worst for they stay home all day and do not sleep! they pace an in laws lie to leave them dumped off there...they flush all night long
Somebody help me understand is this misophonia?..
Does not work!@@connieh9581

COOL video
Thank you so much 😘😘😘
I had the best neighbor in a townhouse where their garage is under my master bedroom.
Thank you 💯 🙏🏾
I live in a split appartment into two studios.
The haves and the haves not.
that's forbidden by law. It's not you. it's the behaviour of antisocial people. call the police.
Can't deep breathing bring on heightened anxiety if you're already in anxiety attack mode?
Deep and slow breathing is synonymous with the "rest and digest" state, and should promote feelings of calm in some people. If a person is unaccustomed to deep breathing, or if they breath too much or too fast, it could aggravate panic for sure. It is always best to experiment and see what works. There are plenty of breathwork videos on you tube.
Only one answer. Get my own house! I had one, but my husband cheated on me, so I guess I have to live in apartments.
Mostly its a feeling of confrontational anxiety for me. Always..
They are trying to pull a trick please pray....
Is there any scientific way like using the power of yr subconscious mind to move these bad creatures who happen to b yr neighbors?
OMG…That was disturbinGLY….AROUSING! The sound of your Angelic voice and your mannerisms. Oh what a sweet pleasant presence. My heart wants you to know that you deserve all the love jn the world.. And only you have mine.
I torture my neighbors they don't get to stalk me .... listen in through the walls they don't get to tell me not one thing ... I have won they are humbled by almost 100 percent
No hate like Christian hate. I’m sure Jesus would be proud of you
@@MysticalKittyStudios I agree no hate like the way Christians are hated ... it's just the same as witches and warlocks die a cruel have gotten stoned to death and hung , ya know? those who have Jesus cannot be harmed by sorcery . Take that from me . Those who believe in Jesus have him as an advocate and a protecter .
Or should I also say any form of attacked is rendered powerlesssss
Omg me too !! What the fuck
Gimme details. @@eccowoods1841
@@eccowoods1841 Yeah, I have a new nick name for him I call him "crawl-space" lol.
@@lacy.knickers146 the same exact situation!
What the hell is Misophonia
Im very suffering for this
7.20 I am sorry what word did you say? Like rou? Can you let me know please.
Row (argument)
“… no other option but to have a huge row” (“ra-oh”) - fight or argument
I can’t get away from it.
Tip: watch on silent with captions if you’re triggered by the start and end ends of words being too loud and tinny against the rest of the voice.
Ah, I will adjust my Mic. That might make a difference :)
Plus noisy neighbors & villagers using our road for shortcut but blowing their engines infront our house
I'm surprised you haven't got millions of subscribers.
What a lovely voice.
Speak we can't hear you.
Pro tip: Try turning the volume up.
Her voice trigger me
Put on the captions. I watch tv at night with the sound very low for my husband and the captions on so I don’t miss anything.
😢😢😢😢😢
Yes, I have to accept it all
Take long slow deep breaths as you go directly to law enforcement to file a noise/nuisance complaint, and if that doesn't work, get a pro bono attorney to take them to court. The nuisance is NOT on you, it's on the perpetrator! You are full of BS. I am a property and homeowner and I WILL NOT put an obligation on MYSELF for "dealing" with the offensive acts of other people against my PEACE and my right to it as such!!!
Funny, whispering really annoys me.
Misophonia... your voice though
Why is she whispering?
Your tone of voice and pacing of words is Everything
Thank you so much for helping us through this
I really would like to learn

I'm immensely grateful
