This is a Schionning design Jaguar 36 catamaran.
she is 36 foot / 11 meters long and 21.5 foot / 6.5 meters wide and has a 3,6 foot / 1.1 meter draft.
she was built in south Africa and completed in 2006.

Unfortunately I found out after uploading that the voice-over was still on a stereo track instead of mono, so I learned from this episode to always listen to it with headphones.
For me it is all still quite new to record everything I do with a camera, and that takes me a lot of time, it almost seems like a full-time job hahaha :)
I am going to do my best to be able to post a new video every Friday, but no guarantees because I want to have something interesting to say. and not post for the sake of posting.
So time will tell if it is sustainable to be able to do this weekly.
I am stunned that a 36-foot cat can be that big. Room wise, it would be more than enough for me. Thank you for giving us viewers a tour through your boat. Beautiful

Love the cockpit! It has the right mixture of usefulness and elegance.
All in mostly good shape, it seems - and I begin to feel at home with your channel.
While I generally like the video, there is one thing that would be great to become different in the future: I watch this with headphones on. And your dubbed voice is very much in my left ear. If you could get that to the middle, it would make for much more relaxed enjoyment. I believe, others might appreciate this, as well.

A tip ....put a coloured collar round your fill caps blue for water red for ⛽ ....i have seen too many mistakes made when they are so close together ....sometimes by distracted owners others by friends/helpers.

A very likeable boat and captain. If you ever have any questions about those motors (good motors) and their quirks, let me know. I had to look after 15 of them for two years. we were running them 12 hours every day of the year. I know what breaks. Starting to wish for a catamaran....damn you.

I saw you on Mark’s channel and came over for a visit. You have a very nice catamaran
That was one of the best tours that I have ever watched -- very thorough. I really look forward to following your journey!!! Just a thought ... that massive amount of paperwork that you have under the navigation station ... one leak could make it all illegible ... why not use the scanner to make a digital copy of everything. Then you can leave it all safely on the hard, but still keep multiple digital copies with you ... save to computer hard drive and a couple thumb drives that are kept in waterproof containers. The advantages of this is more storage space regained, but more so if you need a specific manual you can have access immediately by performing a document search on the computer and have it almost instantly rather then having to sift through what looks to be a massive number of manuals, receipts, etc. == in an emergency it might save your boat!!! I've never seen that make of catamaran before -- very roomy especially for its size -- I would definitely be interested in some background on the manufacturer and your boat's history (maybe a future episode). Thanks for giving Mark a hand ... I've been worried for him ever since he took on his new project.

Hi Thomas, Nicely set up cat. My Mahé 36 is same length but only 5.9M wide. I have just replaced my solar and went for 380 watt flexible panels which saves so much weight. I used VHB tape which the RV users use so they don't have to put holes in the roof which will eventually leak. I strongly suggest you replace the tired old lines for furler and sheets as they can give way in strong winds when it is the last thing you want in those conditions. Just completed Lithium upgrade on my boat. André in Sydney

Excellent boat tour (probably best I have seen on YT). You have a really interesting boat, great layout and very well equipped, interesting mast rigging - I presume we will see a video of lowering the mast in a future episode. I can see you have plenty of projects ahead - the video section of the ‘snakes wedding’ of cables is crying out for attention in the future. Good filming and editing.😀👍⛵️

Absolutely epic boat, so much space, looks well built and nicely organized. Iv got a Catalina 38/love to sail it but one day I could for sure see myself having a cat like this, love the music to. Hi Thomas. Really nice boat and great video except for that awful background noise/music that’s playing when you are talking. More videos like this Thomas but without the annoying background noise/music please. Good luck.
P.S The background music is nice to have here and there in a video but definitely not when your talking and not when there are other background noises like waves etc. Also remember that your choice of music might not be to everyone’s taste.

Thomas great tour, beautiful boat. Your videos are improving each time I see them, and it's been nice that I could be aboard your journey from the beginning. I think the film making would be even better if you could move on from the elevator music, watch "Itchy Boots" for some ideas there.
Two questions for you; how wide are the beds above the engines, and do the heads flush on sea water or fresh water?

Be careful leaving the automatic jackets in that locker. The salt tabs will get damp over time and trigger by themselves. Then you will have to slice it up just to get it out. Working on Vikings, I saw it happen so many times. 300 life jackets.

I love the boat. Excellent layout, I love the mix I've wood and paint. Perfectly outfitted, and perfect size . This would be I think, the perfect boat for a single handed or a couple. Very nice pick, and local too.
