He hasn´t talk abaout Glenn - he has talk about the crush cymbal - no matter whose idea it was. Not to believe a word about the other band members, only "Ren let shine" at Romains solo. Another Sargnagel (pin to close a coffin/casket) for the big push.
All the guys are great and different individually. Ren, Romain Axisa ( guy in black w guitar 🎸 solo, and Gorran Kendall. They each have their own music which are all amazing! I’m a lyme disease 🦠 patient so Of course, Ren is so special to my heart but all these guys are in my heart ❤️ 💚💚💚
Thanks for checking out a few of these. Don't think I didn't notice. I may not reply on every comment but I do read them all. Hope get get better soon.
Such a great mix. After you see more videos from the "Red Suspenders" set, you'll be like us, in awe of the performances and pissed you weren't there to see it. Thanks for reacting to this. If you were serious that you didn't recognized the second song in the mix - it's "Road To Zion" by Bob Marley's son Damian Marley.
If you want to see so unbelievable busking from ren look for ren and sam tompkin earned it/man's world/falling one of the best busking videos out there 😮
@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl One ya Gotta do... only one other reactor (vocal citizen) has done it... its Great! The Big Push doing Nina Simons Sinnerman! Ren gets interrupted... but handles it like a PRO!!! Its on Rex Duffys channel... titled The Big Push Live!!!!
This WHOLE band is soooo good. And they have no egos. All of the guitarists get their time to sing and shine. I hope you will do more The Big Push. You will be shocked by Gorran and Romain's voices as well. Praise You (Fatboy Slim cover) is a great one or What Kind Of Woman Is this. A fun original from them from this same busking session is Watch Out. Everything from this set was so good. But yes, War Pigs is good or Paint It Black. But my other favorite from them besides this one is Wade In The Water/Nina Simone/Trouble So Hard.
@@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl Love Nina Simone and I think you will love Praise You (Fatboy Slim cover) for their harmonies and What Kind Of Woman Is This, Covering Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters and Jimi Hendrix
I think it's impossible to listen to The Big Push and not smile. They have such a great vibe, even their sadder songs (Dignity, Precious) still fill my heart with the music.
They are so good. I think it’s because they were not just band mates, they were best mates and flat mates. My favorite is the Wade In The Water/ Nina Simone/ Troubles- you get to see Ren on bass and Gorran take lead. Romain is a great guitarist and he and Ren really play off of each other really well.
The "red suspenders set" (as it will go down in history, lol) is the one I really, really wish I could've seen live. These guys have GOT to reunite! Thanks :)
You are right - the guitar work varies during various busking. You said you would do war pigs (make sure it's the same red suspender set) and also check out "paint it black" from the same red suspender set - you'll get to hear Gorin sing and Ren go wild on Bass.
**ACHIEVEMENT UNLOCKED** congratulations! You have discovered new ren friends The Big Push! Yet ANOTHERA rabbit hole to fall down, and some awesome music. If you want more sting, check out their cover of Englishman in New York. Its so good! Ren has such a grest voice for sting songs 😊💜💜
Speaking of detail oriented, you might have missed that this street performance came out with near studio-quality audio. This is because Ren goes over the recordings note by note and remixes the levels to keep the quality up and nothing missed in the noise. Compare to any usual street recording. When he turns his head, the voice should get quieter but it doesn't. Wow.
Volume riding and a good gate and compressor/limiter are a must with live recordings if you don't want the ambient sound like he uses on his one take MVs. It's time consuming but well worth it in the end. The more I have learned about Ren, the more I appreciate his mixing talents.
They really excelled at seamlessly transitioning from one song to the next, and their energy was so infectious. How amazing it would’ve been to see these guys live. Great reaction. 🙂
Loved your reaction to this. It always makes me smile too. Btw: The other two guitarists and Ren shared a flat during lockdown which is one reason they’re so tight. Thanks ❤

Thank you for doing The Big Push! It's nice to hear your impressions and the details that you notice that other reactors don't always comment on. Love your typed comments and your sense of humor. Looking forward to more Big Push.
This was fun. Loved the Pink Floyd reference. After watching this 100 times ir more. I noticed, just HOW much Glen the drummer was locked onto Ren. Watching for the changes. They ALL play SO well together. Thanks for this. Can't wait for the next one.❤🤗❤
One of the first songs that I actually sat down and wrote out notes on the sheet music (I don't read music very well) and learned to play the entire first section. Quite an accomplishment for me since I wasn't much of a keyboard player beyond basic chords for color then.
The red suspenders (braces) have great magical power. Every video recorded during that busking session is 🔥: War Pigs, Watch Out (Big Push Original) and Paint It Black. Nah, it's not the suspenders but the four very talented guys who are responsible for the 🔥performances!
Thanks for another great reaction 👍❤ Romain Axisa (the guitar player in black) is a great singer as well: - Georgia On My Mind (Ray Charles cover) - Time After Time (Live at St Augustine's Chapel) - Goodbye Good Days Just another rabbit hole 😉.
The energy of busking. Having grown up in New York, the closest comparison I have is taking a few minutes out of my day to see some amazing percussionists using some overturned plastic pails and buckets as their instruments. That's before being chased away by NYPD for panhandling. How wonderful for the folks in Britain who get to hear what equates to an outdoor jam session, especially when coming upon something like this. Difficult to not have a little envy, but easy to immerse oneself when seeing performers giving of themselves to entertain whomever happens to stop and take a listen.
Love this. I have to warn you about the high hat on War Pigs. It's not correct, but must be intentionally so because it is so incredibly not correct and the drummer (as you mentioned) is good.
Man, your energy level at the beginning and the end just says it all :) Yes they are unbelievably tight. This was an improv, it shows when Ren finishes on a "Sheriff" chord and the band did not immediately pick up on it. He was not the leader of the band, but was a kind of a "sound engineer", knowing how he wanted the whole thing to sound, and the others just go with it. They all got their moments to shine, no egos in the way of making magic together... Yup. You needed this. And so did we. Thanks, mate!
I love the duality of the you that is on the screen and the you who is making the sarcastic and informative commentary on the side. I laugh every time. Great reaction as usual, Sir. ❤
thank you! I said the same thing to my husband! if I had been out and about and heard Ren, it would not matter what song, I would follow the magical notes to their source and the rest of my day would have been canceled! it would not matter if I had a meeting with the Pope. I would be a no show! I would have stayed until Ren packed up and left. I probably would have stayed for quite a while after that trying to get my brain to reboot after a live dose of Ren! this video though, it has captured the quintessential perfect day! the weather, music, crowd, it's like the powers that be made sure everything fell into place smoother than silk could ever wish to be!
This is the music I grew up with. Instruments and soulful lyrics. I was a punky reggae party person. 2 tone taught us to jam together. It worked for a while. Left n right don't matter. Rise above. One love!
It's actually a mash up of 4 songs. The ska section is from the song *A Little Bit of Luck, by DJ Luck and MC Neat. Bob's son Damian is responsible for *Road to Zion. They swap around lead from song to song. Being flatmates they were pretty au fait with each other and had lots of practice time, especially over lockdown. How about *Sweet little Lady or *It's Alright, or *Why My Woman or even better, Icarus (seen in conjunction with the Behind the Push: Icarus)? They are all TBP originals.
Great reaction thanks 😁 if you have time for another big push live then I think Wade in the Water is my favourite Ren vocal of all time. You also get to hear Gorran who is amazing too. 💕

Great reaction, Ken. I really enjoy your little written blurbs on the screen. Some of them are pretty witty. Checked out your War Pigs cover, too. 🔥 Looking forward to your reaction of The Big Push's cover.
Bear in mind that the record labels wouldn't touch them so they had to do everything themselves. That's why it was so very, very satisfying when Ren got to number one!!!
"watch out", an original, was also this set, as well as paint it black, and sympathy for the devil. Ren had an encore performance as well, while they packed up, but i can't recall which song, maybe dominoes? After hearing the original "watch out", there is a reproduced/tweaked version, by an anon, of the same performance, that i personally felt was an improvement. So, you might want to seek that out off camera. Edit- Nigel Green is the channel
Ren and Romain were roommates for 6 years and never had a fight. Romaine Axisa has his own channel and released album. He performed with Ren onstage at Secret Gsrden Party. He also had his own act as well and Ren hung out in the back corner, cheering his old friend on. I was front and center. Ren started out as a producer, at 12. He would spend hours meticulously mixing these busking sessions. He loves that work. I think he mixes all of his work. And he loves busking. That is where he is most comfortable.

This was a really good reaction; Ren, and the others in The Big Push, are very talented. I stopped by your other channel and frankly, I was a bit disappointed. Disappointed that you have been holding back on this, your band is awesome, super tight and clearly enjoying themselves. The guy with the lime green guitar looks a bit Al from 'Tool Time', with Tim Allen (don't tell your friend that haha). I will have to check out some more of your videos.
Thanks for the stop by on my channel. I never thought of Al from Home Improvement but now I totally see it. I was in my first band with him in 1988 and we have been friends ever since. We aren't an actual band at this point but get together once in awhile to kick it around. Real quick question. You said my other channel. Is there another one posting my videos besides the IGE - Ken Lawson one? I had to deal with that recently with a guy just re-posting my videos on his channel is why I ask but I thought I got that shut down.
@@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl Hi Ken, no, that might have been me misspeaking. I went to your IGE - Ken Lawson one and searched 'War pigs', so it's all good, it wasn't another channel.
I love that Crosby/Bowie duet. Your suggestion would have a very similar sound, I think...at least their voices are similar. With their creativity, who knows how it would sound in the end. Loved your reaction to this one.
@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl Have you done, "English man In New York"? The Big Push, and Ren sounds SO much like Sting in it! Also, apparently they used to put out in social media that they would be playing in an hour somewhere and come, zipping down the street with their equipment in a wheelbarrow to find 1,000 people waiting for them. No permits, of course ... lol.
I've been enjoying all of your Ren reactions. I see your drum set in the background. If you haven't heard of a band called "Dirty Loops", then you should go check them out. The song "Work Shit Out" is just one of their amazing songs. They don't copyright their videos so you can watch and react without worry. I know you've still got a long journey down the Ren rabbit hole so you may just want to check it out on your own time instead of reacting to it.
I've only watched one Dirty Loops song but I was really impressed. Knowing they don't copyright is definite incentive to check out more. I think the singer has an amazing voice.
OMG ahahaha i LUV THIS!!! i just happened upon your channel just now cuz i **LUV** ANYthing & EVERYthing **GeniusRen** & was luvin the whole thing as i was watchin but THEN then YOU threw the Movie Quote in there & BOOM ya totally won me over with THAT tho i was already going to hit subscribe Ha that REALLY did IT cuz it IS from one of my ALL time favorite movies EVER!!! **Raising Arizona** ahahaha THAT line & **Son you got a pantie on yer head** are 2 of my fav lines tho there are a ton course what a **Fantastical** movie YAY Ya **ROCK** ha Thank YOU for making my day **Brighter** **PixieHugz&Luvz**

Let me introduce The Big Push band members 😊 Bass guitar Gorran Kendall, Epiphone guitar Romain Axisa, drums Glenn Chambers and of course our boi Ren😊 If you want to see Ren bass guitar skills and beautiful soul vocals I will recommend The Big Push Wade in the water/Nina Simone as next reaction 😊 Appreciate you!
i love these reactions you see what we see and hear! well the big push and them have alot and cant wait to see more! but there are 2 more friends of Ren before you go down one path! next could be Ren and Samtomkins, try blind eyed ( but it must be the mc sessions live verison ) the other are ok but this one is the unreal! after sam we can hit up Eden Nash, eitherway hugs all around
Such a great performance and this is on the street for anyone to experience. So cool. You wouldn't find Nicholas Cage doing that in Arizona thats for sure.
Something to watch that might not react to. Is the big push video of there last live show. The talk to there fans. You will see how big of an underground band they was. Their following was really upset when they stopped.
I highly suggest checking out the album. Welcome to JamRock it's Damian Marley. That's where the road to Zion is from. And the little bit of love part. Is homage to UK rapper name Bugzy Malone.

Great reaction video. Thanks
If you think ren sounds like sting here, check out his version of message in a bottle 😉
I did back to 74/ Message in a Bottle a couple weeks ago. It's in the Ren playlist.
No permits, of course ... lol.
I will be doing it soon
Great reaction. Keep up the good work!
Thanks for this… loose and detailed: great observation.

I would appreciate your comment but my soul is a rocky place where your words can find no purchase.😁. (Too many good quotes for one movie) How many times in your life have you said " I love to drive"?
Let me introduce The Big Push band members 😊
Bass guitar Gorran Kendall, Epiphone guitar Romain Axisa, drums Glenn Chambers and of course our boi Ren😊
If you want to see Ren bass guitar skills and beautiful soul vocals I will recommend The Big Push Wade in the water/Nina Simone as next reaction 😊
Appreciate you!
Stopped the video to say the heart break pregnancy or prison is spot on.. 😂😂😂 he’s right don’t drink kids 😂
#Renagades
More more Ren+The Big Push
You mention Sting so I take it you've listened to Ren's version of 'Englishman In New York'.
i love these reactions you see what we see and hear! well the big push and them have alot and cant wait to see more! but there are 2 more friends of Ren before you go down one path! next could be Ren and Samtomkins, try blind eyed ( but it must be the mc sessions live verison ) the other are ok but this one is the unreal! after sam we can hit up Eden Nash, eitherway hugs all around
I follow Romain and Gorran (sp) separately because they are also phenomenal talents !! Ren has introduced me to many amazing artists!
Me too - I'm drinking a Corona while I watch this!! 😁🍺🍻
Love your reactions! Don't let the suspender brigade bully you. They mean well but they can come off a little bossy (in my opinion) lol
Hip hop is an early hip hop track by dead prez 🇬🇧😊
Such a great performance and this is on the street for anyone to experience. So cool.
You wouldn't find Nicholas Cage doing that in Arizona thats for sure.
Raising Arizona 😂 Classic.
Good job!
@@ige-individualgroupeffort-kenl 😉😁
They would put out on social media that they would be playing. So don't feel bad. I'm jealous
From scat to ska in 1-2-3-4
Wade in the water is my favorite
His fred again mashup is amazing if you haven't heard that
It is coming up soon
