Quick Summary of the book of Revelation:
Jesus is the Lord of the church, and He knows the condition of each local body of believers. The end times will be marked by an increase in wickedness, the rise of the Antichrist’s one-world government, and the fury of Satan against God’s people on earth. God pours out His wrath on a rebellious and unrepentant world in a series of judgments that steadily increase in severity. Finally, the Lamb of God returns to earth with the armies of heaven, defeating the forces of evil arrayed against Him and setting up His kingdom of peace. Satan, the Antichrist, and the wicked of every age are thrown into the lake of fire, while the followers of Christ inherit a new heaven and new earth.

Today is Sabbath. I have listened to this reading maybe 100 times. And today it was extra special. Then toward the end, the great finale, the new Jerusalem coming down, fireworks! I live less than a block away from my county fair grounds, and right at that time they did their grand finale.

Beautifully narrated! Sadly with each new revision of the bible the language seems a little more “dumbed down”
I prefer the old bible but will happily listen to this for the beautiful narration
Alexander Scourby reads the KJV, here on TH-cam.
The original Greek of the New Testament apparently wasn't particularly graceful or high in style, as Greek at that point had become the Lingua Franca used by all nationalities, regardless of what their native tongue was. The Hebrew Old Testament was more refined in style, to my knowledge.
