Always love pass it on. The normals are pretty good at cooking on their own, and somehow all the skill vanishes in PIO. Fascinating to watch how a chef can start/make 3 dishes in 10 ish minutes and then a normal can toast some bread and put chorizo in a pan in the same time. An aside from this PIO, will Feast Your Ears be continuing by any chance? I was also wondering if there was a new website hosting the old Aftertaste videos, or anywhere I can find Mike’s music pieces. Some of the presentation music is so catchy, I’d love to be able to listen to them outside the videos. Thanks!
As far as I'm concerned, Barry did a fantastic job with what he was given and in the time he had and he was the only one who understood the brief properly
This is a tough one. Ben claimed the rectangular plate when he made the tortilla. Jamie didn’t think about that when he toasted the bread, it would not be plated in a bowl. Mike didn’t think of it either when he plated the bread and pumpkin on the big plate leaving the tortilla to a bowl. Barry came in and realized their errors and he had to replate and create a dish from scratch as well. In my mind both Jamie and Mike wasted their turns by creating a dish without thinking of the plating and set the whole thing up for a fail.
Ben may have contributed the edible 2/3 but he hexed everybody else with the freaky-faced fish monster. How can anyone be expected to prepare food with that staring at them? 😬 Also I'm somehow sensing the hand of Kush in it getting on the table in the first place?
it was a pass! I liked Barrys last dish and i also understood that they should use these 3 bowls. even with another plate, the other bowl wouldve remained empty and thus failed. sooooo, 1 viewer supports you, Barry

I'm with Barry on this one, even if he'd kept the crostini and served the tortilla on a 4th plate, he still would've had to make up a dish for the bowl in his 10mins.
Honestly I blame Barry and Mike for that mishap. Barry for not understanding that they were allowed to use more serving dishes than JUST the three, and Mike for mushing up the pumpkin and putting it on the crostini. The pumpkin could've been cubed up and dressed with the toasted hazelnuts and some honey as a nice salad in the bowl, which wouldn't have taken as much time while still leaving room for the crostini to become it's own dish on another plate.
@@malcolmlake2450 The crostini was relatively fine until Mike lathered pumpkin paste all over it (and when Barry tossed it, there were still enough left to rectify that situation). There should be a side series every once in a while where it’s almost like “pass it on training” where it starts like a normal pass it on, but after each person is done, the other members come over to see what was done, and they have to guess what direction the person intended their contribution to head towards. Points are awarded for who gets closest. Mostly for fun, and only partly because I think the whole “conveying to the next member what the intended direction was” aspect of pass it on has always been the boys’ weakness. Edit: also, nothing is saying the boys have to actually DO the intended direction, just get better at knowing WHAT the intended direction was. Fully up to them if they want to ignore it XD
The crostini were dreadful, they had to go. I also got the same sense Barry did that he had to use those plates. His mistake was over-complicating the bowl contents. Though Mike mashing the pumpkin was a weird choice too.
I would have liked to see what could have become of the pumpkin smear on the crostini topped with chorizo. I feel like there could have been something quite interesting and savory there. You had the bread, earthy pumpkin, spicy meat… feels like some kind of drizzle would have finished it off nicely! Something sweet perhaps? Or salty? Feels like that one didn’t get the room it deserved to run & turn into something great!

Ben I think 3 normals need a cod's cheek challenge or something because the fact all 3 of them were so terrified to use such a simple ingredient... That's very normal of them 👀
honestly watching the huttlestorm and barry aggressively screaming while mixing a bowl together really made this worth the pass, those two really tried their hardest to pull whatever direction the previous one had went it in into a dish
The last time you did "tapas" was the vegan challenge. And that went extraordinarily well, if I recall. Chick peas and toasted bread from the grocery store, cut into triangles to make it look fancier. It made me ambivalent watching Ben's soul literally withering on screen.

To be fair, I was also under the same assumption of Barry.
Even before watching, I really like that James is still in the Pass It On intro. Feels like running in to an old friend at the pub :)
While I enjoyed new versions of this intro, I gotta say this is simply the best (or maybe I'm just used to it 😅👀). I hope it stays for a long time. 💜
Maybe the brief was a bit confusing. Baz and I had the same thought - it was only those 3 dishes. A good show lads.
I love this 😂 having only recently discovered this channel, the cod’s head was a bit unexpected, but the reactions were glorious!
I think Barry did a great job... I wouldn't serve whatever was on that plate before either :P
#TeamBarry
I'm a new fan after the Jolly video and I'm binge-watching pass it on series . I can understand now why they are 'normal' despite doing this show for 13 years. I don't think I would ever catch up with the long time fans🤣but nonetheless, it is such a joy watching you guys! 🥰
Ben
I think 3 normals need a cod's cheek challenge or something because the fact all 3 of them were so terrified to use such a simple ingredient...
That's very normal of them 👀
ultimate cod cheek battle :)
I think Mike always underscores himself. He did quite well
Video idea for the gang: revisiting old Pass It On recipes (especially failed ones) into gourmet food
Jamie: "Food waste." Jams food into mouth. Been there.
Excellent video, these are always fun to watch!
honestly watching the huttlestorm and barry aggressively screaming while mixing a bowl together really made this worth the pass, those two really tried their hardest to pull whatever direction the previous one had went it in into a dish
"Ohh My God There is a fish staring at me" Barry Being Barry
somebody needs to put this on a t shirt
I am so glad I have just found this channel. You guys are so much fun to watch!
VIDEO VARIANT IDEA:
Pass it On 3 Normals
Vs.
Pass it On 3 Chefs (maybe guests?)
Compare the results 🤣
The beauty of Sorted Food is that it is still entertaining when they fail 😂
Barry should always go first. The others can fix what he does. LOL
I love Barry trying to sell his “lucky dip” to the guys 😂
I think Barry did quite a good job, of course he didn't do to most dishes what was planned with them, but i think he made the best out of what he got
The last time you did "tapas" was the vegan challenge. And that went extraordinarily well, if I recall. Chick peas and toasted bread from the grocery store, cut into triangles to make it look fancier. It made me ambivalent watching Ben's soul literally withering on screen.
Pass It On Idea: let the team cook with ingredients from Ben's fridge without him knowing that his fridge has been raided 🤣 what would his reaction be?
Barry was very generous to himself with that 4.
3 minutes in and Ben is doing a potato crisp omelette. Do tiny guys hate Spain that much 😂!?
sortedfood needs to offend spain at least once a year it's tradition at this point
Watching these pass it ons, Barry's sous chef status is clearly deserved!
Barry really came into his own. Like watching a master at work
I see that Ben woke up today with the will to create CHAOS!
I definitely think you should cut the chorizo and put it in the pan even slower during a timed trial.
Part of the problem is that he's using the wrong knife. Kitchen scissors are the way to go.
Jaime,Mike and Barry let ebbers down by panicking instead of taking a second to think 🤔.
Chaotic as always I love it
In Barry's defense. Toasted bread, smashed pumpkin, and chorizo is a bigger fail than his dip fiasco.
Ben was brutal with Barry's dish... just brutal
Ben's nervous laugh was so creepy and hilarious at the same time!
Barry let you down. All on Barry. He is to blame.
Let's blame Baz.
I just recently started using Sidekick and I just want to say THANK YOU. Its really helped me and my partner eat good healthy meals with variety and majority have been so cheap to make. Our favourite so far is Sausage and Apple stew on Parsley Mash yum ❤
Not Barry throwing away Mike’s Pre-Sliced Crustini with Pumpkin Mash. Ruthless 🔥
Okay maybe Barry's dish wasn't great but I was massively impressed that he threw it together so quick with the time he had and made the rest presentable.
I feel like it's not as much ignoring the path Ben chooses, as it is not understanding the path
Boys, I was listening to the intro and realized you guys owe us, the audience, a special few episode run with our former second chef. 1 pass it on, 1 gadget review, and one more something special.
The community could use a belated holiday surprise.
Are you kidding me?! BARRY! I think the original Jamie tune for his panics and fails should be given to Barry now
Love Janice ! This cracked me up , Ben leaving a fish head out expecting the normals to deal with it LMAO ! Brilliant video as always lads ! X
