2003 Mercedes C230 Trunk Not Locking “FIXED!”

Lock won’t engage typical sign of old aged car.
1.)Sometimes the battery in car doesn’t give enough power for lock to engage fully and gets stuck halfway and when said person shuts the trunk the lock becomes jammed.
2.)Lock devices becomes too dirty and becomes jammed.
3.)Lock device doesn’t has wire issue a possible short.
4.)All of the above happening at once could make this occur also.

My e350 got nailed from behind while I was stopped at a red light old lady hit me doing 40 she gave me her phone number and insurance company but not the policy number and I went to bill her and found out she dosent have insurance so here i am can’t go make money until I figure out my broken trunk

Yea not to much to fix huh the latch is 170$ i know mine is the same as in the video and all in all i had to buy and instal the new latch

Get yourself a headtorch… poking around with a screwdriver and achieves nothing…
