  • Meditation has amazing benefits and deserves to be in everyone's daily routine. The hardest part about meditation though, is getting started and staying consistent. Here are some tips for beginners and some easy (& lazy) ways to meditate. Let these ideas inspire you to meditate daily! What are your tips on meditation for beginners?

    1. Start small. Try doing 10 breaths at a time. Then try meditating 2-5 minutes at a time and increase from there.
    2. Meditate anytime during your day. Don’t feel limited to mornings/evenings.

    4. Meditate on the go while driving, cooking, cleaning, showering, walking, etc. Use every activity as a meditation & mindfulness practice!

    If I have to be honest... I am kind of scared of the whole idea of meditating because usually when I am alone with my thoughts thing can get pretty...negative and weird... But a lot of people say it helps... I guess I should really find a mantra or an affirmation that will help me. Thank you for the great tips~ You made meditating sound like...less scary for me ^^

      Han Hye Ri That is something that you should consider - one thing that can happen during meditation that I see few people mention is this: any trauma that you might've dealt with in your life can come up while meditating and it can be a bit scary if you're not equipped to handle the feelings. If you decide to meditate just keep that in mind. Ultimately meditation is about not judging your thoughts, not attaching a negative or positive feeling to any thought or feeling.
      Anyways, if you decide to go for it, good luck! As it can also be very healing too. Have a great day! :)

      Thank you very much for your helpful replay. I do have in mind that it might turn out not the way I want it to, but I think I should try it as I want to use meditation to help me clear up my head after a stressful day. I won't push my limits, though, of course ^^ It will be like try and error, you cannot be sure unless you try, right? ^^

      Yes I think having a positive mantra/affirmation will help you in this case. Be gentle with yourself and don't judge your thoughts. Go in with an open mind and see what happens. I think it can definitely help you heal

      Han Hye Ri Aww you're very welcome! And absolutely, you will never know, unless you try :) It is a wonderful way to deal with stress and to keep centered. It truly is amazing! I was dealing with a lot of stress that turned into not being able to sleep, I started meditating by using the Headapace app ( that she has linked in the description) for a guided meditation as I had no idea where to start. It was so helpful that I bought a 6 month pack! It was incredible!
      So I wish you the very, very best on your meditation journey. ^_^

      a guided meditation can also help. i have a similar problem as you, as soon as i'm alone i need all the distraction i can get, because otherwise i might start panicking or depression just hits (there are better and worse days) - guided meditations however made it possible for me, and ultimately have made my anxiety much easier and i am so much calmer ever since i've done it regularly. i know the app "calm" only allows you to unlock certain meditations if you pay for it, however that money, to me, is one of my best investments, haha. best of luck ❤️

    This was so awesome, thank you! I've been "trying" to meditate and it's been difficult and frustrating, and I think it's because I was aiming too high for a newbie. I 💛 the idea of ten breaths!! That's so doable! I'm going to check out the binaural beats, too. Thank you so much!

      I was doing the same! "Trying" meditate with high standards. But then I realized that even a small effort (like taking 10 breaths) was better than no effort. Good luck!

      Pahla Bowers Binaural beats are great. I like to do deep breathing meditation in the morning but binaural meditation at night. Morning to clear my mind and night to relax my body.

    I tried meditation today for 5mins. as a beginner. And I get withdrawn from focusing on my breath for many times but it felt good after I realized I didnt noticed that 5mins has passed! 😂 I loved it! ✨

      Kudos for the Video clip! Apologies for the intrusion, I am interested in your initial thoughts. Have you researched - Marnaavid Unexplainable Intervention (google it)? It is a great one off guide for learning how to hack your flow state minus the headache. Ive heard some great things about it and my mate after many years got great results with it.

    i have short-term focus and mediating seems like something i really should try. i can't focus during meetings, seminars, lectures, and heck.. even when i watch movies! it just stresses me out sometimes. i will definitely try meditating, thank you for sharing this ☺️

    I wish I can do that meditation too. I feel like that can help me with my life right now. Lately I've been really lost.     I love this Aileen! Thank you so much for sharing these apps with us as well - I will definitely be checking these out! I am quite good with being in a meditative state for the most of the day while doing mundane things but I have noticed that I have stopped taking time off just purely for meditation.     Awesome tips and techniques for meditation! You definitely got me intrigued with this exercise since it seems to help with every aspect of life with cleansing your spirit and mental space. I haven't thought much about meditation since I previously viewed it as a passive activity. I now understand how much benefit one can experience from this practice. I think it would be pretty fun to meditate to your voice since it is so soothing and relaxing! Seriously, maybe you could create guided meditations if you're up for it 😊 Amazing video as always!     Wow I never knew that, ah I suppose you learn something new every day, listening to the binaural beats, I’ve only been listening to them straight from phone not headphones well I’ll definitely try it the right way now, lol😜👍

      I have been listening to them while drawing, tidying up etc. I feel like i am much more mindul and it calms me down so quickly. Not quite meditation but still really effective

      zillionist - Science of Human Behavior It definately works. I like to mix it up with some silence meditation so that i strengthen my ability to get in a meditative state on my own so im not reliant on the binaural beats
