The same thing happened to us. A male started coming around, and we started to feed him. About a month later he brings us his buddy, a very young adult cat. Within a month after that we noticed she was growing in more ways than one. He was very friendly. I believe he had a home at one time, but as for her, she was very skittish and very hard to pet or even touch. We ended up catching them both and within a day and a 1/2 after finally catching them we had a beautiful litter of 4. He is truly a baby daddy, he loves her so much and he loves the babies too. He was neutered two days after the babies were born, lol so there's no chance of him inpregnating her again, but they are inseparable. The babies are now 10 weeks old.

On the same token, if a cat doesn't like you, they can and will remove themselves from your life. Friend's brother's cat slowly started hanging around less and less, until they found out he had moved into the neighbor's house. That's what makes cats special. Sure, you can adopt them, but it's up to them if they adopt you back. When they choose you, it really means something.
I don't know if you knew this, but animals, including cats, have been giving birth without the aid of humans for millions of years. They don't need us.

If they think a human will help, they'll go to a human they think seems trustworthy. If they find a decent human it'll be much easier than being alone giving birth.
I have a very similar story from the past, saving a stray, pregnant cat and keeping one of the girls.....she lived to be 18.5 years old and I felt like my world stopped when she died. May your cats and you be blessed with long and happy lives. Also, just so you know, it is a high honor to be chosen by a cat in that way, only the truly worthy are eligible.

A similar thing happened to us in 2000. A pregnant kitty cat walked up to us in the late evening. We didn’t know the catermelon was going to give birth since she was so thin. Lo and behold, the next morning, there were 3 babies. And that’s how I got my Lily for 18 glorious years. Edit to add, mama and the other 2 sibs found great homes as well.
Yes! They observe us for a while to make sure we are safe and kind before "adopting" us! Thank goodness Mama Tree Kitty chose a loving family to help her! 👍❤️😸❤️

It’s lovely that they spoke so calmly and lowly when she was in labor and the aftermath of her labor, animals can easily read and take after other’s emotions, if they had acted anxious or excited, she might’ve become very anxious herself and it’d be no good for her delivery

It's so crazy, when you can feel those tiny paws reaching out from the inside. Lol considering they have tiny claws, it probably feels less than amazing to the momma cat ❤
To be fair when animal babies are still inside they’re usually surrounded by some kind of sac, and trust me that thing is strong- momma cat probably could feel the pressure but not the claws (idk if its the same for cats but puppy claws are also not as hard when they’re fresh out of the oven)
We had a similar experience!! My grandad used to feed nearly 15 stray cats and used to adore them . After he passed away we shifted near them to take care of my grandma. Ended up getting our own cat and then started feeding the ones that came to us. This one specific very friendly and a very pregnant cat ‘Minnie’ became a regular at our place. She ended up giving birth to a small litter and brought the kittens to us. She has been coming to us for nearly a year now and gave birth to a second litter just last month ❤
Thank you for rescuing her and finding loving homes for her and her babies! She obviously had great instincts! I particularly loved that you gave her the iPad for stimulation and that you sacrificed an entire bath tub to make her and her babies a nest. That was extremely generous on your parts! I've found that my clowder is very cooperative and loving. Mothers will raise their babies together, taking turns and giving each other a break. If I find a stray kitten and I don't know who the mother is - we get cats wandering in and they don't always cooperate by having their babies in the nest we set up - I know I can count on any Mummy to raise it if I place it in her nest. We spay and neuter, but we don't always get it done in time; they often arrive at our door pregnant. I just can't say no when I see a hungry little face!!

This happened to me 4 years ago. I was working on cleaning out a rental and the tenants had left a cat behind. She kept jumping in my car. When I realized she was pregnant, I brought her home and set her up in the basement. She had 6 kittens 2 days later. Found good homes for the kittens with people I'd known for years. I kept momma and one kitten. I feel honored every day that she chose me. Animals are a gift.
This is an amazing family and an amazing kitty. I mean - come on - they figured out she would benefit from the iPad and she was smart enough to be curiously watching it. What a match made in heaven. She DOES seem like an inherently happy kitty who gets along with everyone - it’s in her mannerisms,curiosity, and engagement. She reminds me of my kitty Tommy - who everyone - no matter what species - loved, because he was happy, and engaging with everyone.
When I was 16 I had my first job at a little store in county Derry Ireland. There was a little cat that would visit the store every day. After a week I realised she must have been a stray cat. I took her home. I’m 34 now and I still have her. She’s an old girl now, she still brings me so much happiness

I know animals have their own ways of surviving... but I can't help but think of all the pregnant mama cats living on the cold streets... and just imagining how much they'd love a warm, cozy environment with food. So glad *this* mama cat found her way to a kind human. I hope more and more people will consider taking in rescues.
Kitties are so amazing. My kitty picked me. She was in really bad shape but after two weeks at the doctor, my landlord brought her home to me- I guess she wanted me to have the kitty, she already had 3 of her own. In two or three weeks time, Peanut the kitty gave birth to 3 adorable babies. The doctor didn't think she was pregnant at first because she was so malnourished.

This was surely meant to be. Had a hostel cat walk into my friends room and make it her home for 2 weeks when she was pregnant. She birthed 5 kittens. One of them, runt of the little, was rejected by her and is the one you see in my profile picture. I had that kitten for over 2 years with me. She was a lovely friend. When covid started we had to rush to our places and I couldn't arrange anything to take her with me. She's in good hands with my friend's family but I still miss her. To have a kitty come into my life when I was deeply unmotivated, depressed and change it all upside down, it was all meant to be. I started getting up early cause she wont let me sleep past sunrise. I studied and she'd be lying next to me chilling. Slow blinks, cuddles and everything when I got distracted from study. People would actually come over daily just to play with the cat. Oreo was everything I could've wished for, a perfect pet. Stories like these remind me how much a pet can change somebody's life in such a short span. You guys are lucky to have her.

I absolutely love the name that these two earth angels gave to mama kitty. Tree Kitty knew that she could trust this human to give her a safe place to nest and bring ❤ the little bundles of joy into the world. The lady in this beautiful little clip described the little ones as little innocent souls ❤ was so wonderful. You can see how much love 💘 💕 ❤ this lady and gentleman have for their furry friends. I know animals have their own ways of surviving... but I can't help but think of all the pregnant mama cats living on the cold streets... and just imagining how much they'd love a warm, cozy environment with food. So glad *this* mama cat found her way to a kind human. I hope more and more people will consider taking in rescues.

Kitties are so amazing. My kitty picked me. She was in really bad shape but after two weeks at the doctor, my landlord brought her home to me- I guess she wanted me to have the kitty, she already had 3 of her own. In two or three weeks time, Peanut the kitty gave birth to 3 adorable babies. The doctor didn't think she was pregnant at first because she was so malnourished.
That's the way ALL Landlords/Lady's SHOULD be!! Welcoming Animals instead of refusing them 😿
She choose you to be her guardian 😇 thank you for trusting your instinct. You helped her and the little ones

This was surely meant to be. Had a hostel cat walk into my friends room and make it her home for 2 weeks when she was pregnant. She birthed 5 kittens. One of them, runt of the little, was rejected by her and is the one you see in my profile picture. I had that kitten for over 2 years with me. She was a lovely friend. When covid started we had to rush to our places and I couldn't arrange anything to take her with me. She's in good hands with my friend's family but I still miss her. To have a kitty come into my life when I was deeply unmotivated, depressed and change it all upside down, it was all meant to be. I started getting up early cause she wont let me sleep past sunrise. I studied and she'd be lying next to me chilling. Slow blinks, cuddles and everything when I got distracted from study. People would actually come over daily just to play with the cat. Oreo was everything I could've wished for, a perfect pet. Stories like these remind me how much a pet can change somebody's life in such a short span. You guys are lucky to have her.

Aww that's awesome! We adopted a cat from the woods behind our house and she ended up being pregnant and had 4 kittens.. and we couldn't part w any of them and kept them all 😅

I absolutely love the name that these two earth angels gave to mama kitty. Tree Kitty knew that she could trust this human to give her a safe place to nest and bring ❤ the little bundles of joy into the world. The lady in this beautiful little clip described the little ones as little innocent souls ❤ was so wonderful. You can see how much love 💘 💕 ❤ this lady and gentleman have for their furry friends. I am so happy that they found loving forever homes for the kitties 💕 💖 ❤. As if all that was not enough, they decided to keep Tree Kitty and one of her kittens ❤ ,little Willow.
