Paratech Instructor, Nigel Letherby, reviews the Heavy Vehicle Extrication Kit contents and scenario use case. Struts included in the HVEK provide superior stroke length for heavy rescue. The heavy vehicle is stabilized first to stop the crush on the smaller vehicle. Roll prevention equipment is included in the HVEK. Once both vehicles are stabilized, the heavy vehicle is lifted off the smaller vehicle using the HydraFusion. Cribbing included in the HVEK. Next, extricate in place, or move the smaller vehicle from under the larger vehicle. The MultiForce Air Lifting Bag is utilized on the smaller vehicle.
