This shows how to enter the diagnostic mode on the MFT system in a 2011 Ford Explorer Limited. This should work with other models with the same system.
We have a 2013 Ford Edge SEL. The passenger air conditioning/heat was working perfect, but the drivers side was blowing hot no matter what temperature it was set on, with AC or not. We searched it and found your video. We held down the power button and auto button, and pressed the power button after. It did diagnostics and when we turned it back on the AC and heat was working perfect on driver side and passenger side. Thanks so much for your video! It was a lifesaver!
My 2016 Explorer passenger side only blew hot/warm air. It wasn't programming issue... it was actually mechanical. It was what they call a "blend door" that had to be replaced.
Dang... I watched about 8 other youtube vids all useless non-fixes. Then I tried this on my 2014 Edge and presto, all is good. I had even called Ford Dealer to ask about it and he said 200 bucks to check the HVAC system before they can even start trying to fix. So ya saved me some $$. Thanks a heap. (Edmonton, Canada)

I have 2011 ford explorer the Ac command on touchscreen won't work, and the down console climate control won't power or function, it blow hot air as soon as the ignition is turned on, the hot air blows through defrost constantly and won't turn off.

Anyone know where they enter and escape buttons are for touch screen calibration? I think that's the only option that you can actually change anything. that is if you know where the enter button is to save your calibration.
Mr Skull Afraid not, a calibration has to be done by a dealer...same thing happen to me when my camera shorted out... the only thing you can do is realign the touch screen thru diagnostic mode...
Alex Jimmy sorry as far I have seen I didn’t see an option to adjust max volume, I have noticed with the upgraded systems it limits the volume so that the sound does not distort.
my touch screen doesn't come on, no power to access any options. disconnected The power to reboot the system and still doesn't work this is the second interface module that I had gotten out in. can not afford any more diagnostic fees any suggestions

How long did you hold down the buttons. I'm having the same issue and cannot seem to get it to go into diag. For the AC. Thank you.

It would be nice if you could elaborate on this. I am having the same problem and can't seem to get climate control to go in to diagnostic mode.
Per other post, it is the power + defrost button combination will do the tricks. Unfortunately, it did not work on my Ford Edge 2011

The problem with your car volume could be the "mykey" system is activated.

Kevin Grenway check your warranty, I know that Ford added a specific enhancement to the warranty specifically for the interface module.
My touch screen isn't working, disconnected the cable to the battery to reboot it. Still doesn't work. Any suggestions
Factory warranty has ran out. ASAP extended warranty doesn't cover high-tech accessory anyone has any suggestions
