MyFord Engineering Mode

This shows how to enter engineering mode in the MyFord System. This vehicle us a 2011 Ford Explorer Limited.
You will start with the vehicle off....press and hold the Right OK button on the steering wheel and then start the vehicle. Once the message appears, release the OK button and scroll to review the information.

2019 you press and hold the OK on the left side instead of right - it also has a bit more in it then yours.

A couple of Fords do this, my 08 you turn on thr electricals, while holding the reset button

Dim data shows how much lower an engineer can adjust the display. My display was too bright even at the lowest setting, so I asked the dealer to adjust it. It now can go almost totally dark if I need.

It’s cool but ford left out some super helpful stuff, like transmission fluid temp. That would be super helpful since the transmission doesn’t have a dipstick and has to be leveled out at a certain temp. If ford had put it in, then DIY people wouldn’t need to buy a scan tool just to change transmission fluid.

I replaced both blend doors and the defrost actuator on my 2015 xlt. How do I reset the actuators so they respond when I raise and lower the temp? Right now, the right and left blend doors only move when the temp setting is ‘LO’ or ‘HI’ but does not move anywhere between those settings.

How do u get the speedo to sweep at startup?

There isnt a way to do it with the controls in the car, you can use an app like Forscan for the PC to change options like the gauge sweep.
