I strongly question the use of the phrase "national defense" particularly because it contributes to confusion over whether or not Taiwan is technically a nation-state or country. Otherwise, it's a good summary that is very clear and concise. The script writer has taken the bull by the horns and called a spade a spade. Strangely, however, this video seems to have less of an impact for me than some of the best earlier videos it summarizes. I'm also wondering if there is a gap in the legal argument that leaps from the ROC having been delegated authority as a proxy military occupation force by SCAP General Order No. 1 to the principal occupier must bypass it's agent that it never held accountable for war crimes and fly its own flag over the region.
