Lol Mouse has some spunk this morning! 😜 oh my goodness what an ordeal! Maybe run a water line down to the lake for next time and use a pump. Poor Matt! Positive: good exercise? Lol
@@lorettaandjasonoffgrid yeah. I got my eye on a pump. That much exercise was a little excessive. And I think I cut out how much I actually spilt in the process!!
Yes. It's on the list!! Im going to try and make some progress on this at the weekend. It was the main draw to buying this property in the first place, so we really want to enjoy this feature.
Hi guys, the path down will be challenging, but I think and result is worth it a little bit at a time. Maybe a rope to help for a little while until you get a path I think a pump and a little bit of hose would go a long way to make things a little bit easier, but none of that stuff is cheap as I’m finding out. Also, I wouldn’t mess with those bones either lol awesome video guys.
@@exploringmybackyard I have been checking out the water pumps. My challenge is the height; I need 50ft of lift. But I have found a smaller one that I can use providing 75ft of push-so putting the pump down at the bottom. That may give me a temporary solution. As for the bones, I’ve been on Fivrr looking for a witch doctor to relocate and bury them.
Have fun enjoy life that's what we are supposed to do, Straight path to run a hose to the cabin from the lake just a few trees to move, Long power cord & pump with couple hundred feet of garden hose & you have running water :) No shortage of dry wood around ! Deer trail follows least resistance but longer route , Short route Two hands Spade start at the top where it gets steep just two scoops go down 6" two scops & repeat :) make 3or 4 then go up & down to see if to far apart,
@@littlegriffoffgridalberta6837 yup- having fun in our happy place !! Thanks for the feedback - That was one of my thoughts for the path; the dirt is very dry and dusty so I am also thinking we should support it with some timbers and rebar spikes so that it doesn’t wash away.
If anyone has experience with making hill steps (the cheaper the option, the better!), we are open to suggestions!
Think a slide down to the lake would still be cool! 😂 . And loving the stylish tea making 😂......cocktails next time.....maybe? 😂 x
