3:04 That piano player has got some of the baddest chops I've heard and none of it needs editing. He is killing it! They all are, just thought I'd give it up for the piano guy a bit.
His personality is the bomb also, he is one funny ass dude.
It appears I bought me a defective Telecaster. Mine doesn't have all those notes on it. Damn you Fender!
I see a lot of promise in this Brent guy. He's gonna be great one day
Yeah, once he puts his guitar away and starts working on his voice - real potential :-)
The best. Great session guys all around. Brett's playing is so expressive. Gives us mere mortals something to aspire to.
3 pick up tele + a B bender + a gifted player = un freakin believable.
Mason is the bench mark of country players
It's so talented .. what a performance ! All in one. From Russia with love
Love these fuckin dudes. I play black metal and grindcore in my bands. But the music that gives me the most satisfaction and the tingles is country and blues. I love my old man band, as much as people talk shit lol. They just dont know about good country.
Everybody in here is a pro. And we get to listen.
I BELIEVE THAT KEYBOARD PLAYER HAS PLAYED MUSIC WITH EVERY ONE ON THE PLANET
John Hobbs a legend.
Dennis Waterman 😁
3 WORDS TIMES 3.....LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE!!!
+vetham100 Actually, that's 2 words times 2.5. :-D
I've just discovered Brent Mason. Checking him out and wanted to see him play live. His reputation is deserved. I've played with virtuoso guitarists before and know this "type". I must say his right hand technique is unusual for a guitarist of this caliber. It's heavy and stiff. Never seen that before. He's making it work but he clinches it so tight.
If you haven't heard of Johnny Hiland go check him out, you'll be impressed. There's another video of him and Brent Mason sharing the stage playing this same song. It's amazing.
@@claytonfitzgeraldmusic8747 or Danny Gatton (The Humbler) or Redd Volkeart
@kev dean Danny Gatton is sillllly good
Brent’s right hand technique…
thumb pick + 3 fingers
I’ve never seen him use a flat pick but he probably does that too..
also very good pianist !
holy shitballz it's the ALL STAR BAND of all time lol
WOWZER!!!!!!!!!
Who is the Piano Player ? He's freakin CRAZY AWESOME!!
+Jonathan Brister The entire band is made of the "A" list of recording musicians. These are the guys playing on many, many songs no matter who the artist is. The Piano player is John Hobbs. www.allmusic.com/artist/john-hobbs-mn0000187101
+Wampler Pedals Thanks Man!!
Guay. Very good!!
YES! Telecaster for yo ass! This guy knows how to play it!
Brent's always Great, but Man- check out that Pedal Steel player, Wow (Keyboardist as well 🙂) ! Thanks for posting.
Paul Franklin
Wow he can sing too
Paul Franklin Jr. on pedal steel.
Paul's son ? Wow - that explains everything !
Love Brent's playing but had to chuckle around 2:53 where he head-butts the microphone.
I do that all the time when absorbed with pickin XD
Paul Franklin!!!!!
1 4 5 OH HOW IT LASTS FOR EVER AND EVER IN MUSIC
think that your his first time playing that song
what about the non working man blues, it gets depressing doing nothing...
retired 2 weeks ago.. it's not that blue yet!!
Haha 10 people actually voted this down. Betcha they're all guys that spent a small fortune on a brand new Telecaster and vintage Fender amp, but can't strum a 'C' chord. That, or other Nashville session players that struggle to feed themselves because of Brent. *lol*
