They just didn't have room for Booser anymore. They didn't need an addition to the 40 man roster either, to take up space they wanted to open up. So, they ask for somebody who doesn't need to be on the 40 man roster.

The depth pieces are important and it not only gives the Sox a chance to get some real gems. I am really excited about Fajardo I think once we see how he does here outside the DR we may be in for a treat. Also this is one of the ways you can remove players from the 40 man when you need to bring others on board. My question for you Corbin is who is next to go once Walker is added? And you also will need to do that again if and when they sign Bregman. They may need to actually pay a team to take Masa and then Abreu or Grissom my be the next if Bregman does come here. Assuming that Bregman is brought in to play 2nd. You have Campbell already in the wings at 2nd. Any right handed bat brought in via FA will need more players, should be interesting to see who the addition is going to be and who is going.
Yeah that’s kind of the thing. Bregman coming in is messy but so would be anybody else
Ok here goes. Adams I like. He pitches inside. He occasionally hits guys. He’s emotional. He’s a guy that could invite guys to rally around him. Maybe the Fenway faithful can rally around a guy like that? Someone who wears his emotions on his sleeve. I like this sign. Gets my blood moving a bit. That’s another reason why I am pushing for Bregman. Bregman has a heartbeat. He can be an emotional leader. He’s an all star and has a couple WS rings. Great defense at 3B and plenty of pop to reach the wall and beyond. I hate watching Devers defense and I hate even more people saying we trade Casas to move Devers to 1B. Casas doesn’t have much value right now and I’m willing to give him another injury free year to prove some things, but this is his last chance and he should know that. I swear to God I’ll trade him to the Twins if he doesn’t stay healthy or hit in april and may…Gonna watch Devers like a hawk. He better go to DH and his agent better keep his mouth quiet. Both those guys better buck up and be for the team or as far as I’m concerned they need to go. Both of them are big “ifs.”
Awsome XmAs Corbin, but listen in order to acquire @ least 2 WS, Bosox need to trade Abreu, Hamilton , and Jaren Duran and Yoshida, for Castellanos from Philly, Ketel Marte from Diamondbacks, Reynolds from Pirates, Longshot Vlad Guerro any of those 2 players are ok..Bring up Roman Anthony and Marcelo Mayer
I thought it was the right thing to do we have to use for a guy who at times had trouble just throwing strikes . I like his story but he was still a 31 year old rookie so I like that we got a guy as young as we did

Chris Murphy will probably not pitch until late this year.
These all seem like depth moves however they can prove important during the long season. Hopefully if any of these players are needed they will be successful!

New to the channel Corbin and enjoy the frequent video updates . I agree with your points here about depth at minor league level important for injuries to major league team and also building for the future while balancing for the “now “ impact signings they’ve made recently especially to the pitching staff this winter . Looking forward to the next big bats they sign right handed
Back to Dumpster Diving. This bullpen is trash, and if they don't seriously address it they won't make the Postseason.
Colorado pitchers INMO are difficult to rate as the altitude impacts the movement of the fastball and breaking balls. He could be a big surprise.
Trading Booser was inevitable to get Sandoval on the 40 man.....now it will be interesting to see who gets traded next to fit Buehler on the 40 man. Adams is a solid signing on a minor league deal and Noah Davis could surprise......Merry Christmas Corbin n Jessica 🌲

They just traded Gasper for Moran from the Twins
I like the young pitcher we got back for Cam Boozer. A young 18 year old is a nice seed to plant for the future. He may have a long way to go but this is the type of thing that we might be happy about a few years down the road. That being said I did like Cam . Breslow is making some pretty solid moves. I like some of the depth he is creating without jeopardizing the future. Merry Christmas Mr Corbin !!! Joe

Thanks Corbin, I like all of the more minor changes, tweaking the roster that you give notice of. It gives one a sense of the team being honed at the edges. I will miss Cam Boozer though for his pitching and hard nosed demeanor that he displayed. I do think that Alex Bregman would be a good signing.. The team needs a veteran presence with all the younger players. Plus his attitude seems to be a positive, being willing to possibly play second base too.

I'm not saying "Cue the...". I think they are depth players, or possibly part of the plan for the future. As long as they are building up in Boston also, I am patient.

The Sox need to make another spot on the 40 man roster.
The Sox will be able to move some players to the 60 Day IL when pitchers and catchers report. I could see Chris Martin being added then. Also, it gives room for players to make the 26 man roster out of Spring Training

Pedro Martinez hopefully will also be working with and helping develop Yhoiker Fajardo ... At only seventeen years of age, there is plenty of time for him to gradually mature into becoming a contributing and effective MLB pitcher ...
Craig Breslow is making me quite pleased these days by quickly "stockpiling" and building up the overall pitching depth of the entire organization ... With the outstanding medical and physical therapy support the Red Sox can provide, also taking on injured reclamation projects at "team friendly" priced contracts makes all the sense in the world ... Liam Hendriks, Lucas Giolitto, and Patrick Sandoval hopefully can pay back the team with some solid performances in 2025 ... You can never have enough pitching ! ...

I have a crazy idea...would Bello, Abreu and Meyer be enough to get Skubal? Can you imagine our starting rotation with him? Skubal, Crochet, Houck, Buehler and Giolito. Just get in the playoffs and you're golden.
I dont think trading abreu would be a great idea because he rounds out the outfield, I wouldn't mind trading bello but we already have a potential new lefty ace in Garret Crochet. that's just my opinion though

That being said I think this team is setting itself up to win 88 games and make the playoffs. And even if they are a 1st rd exit it's a step in the right direction and by them addressing the bullpen depth is low key huge.

Valdez+Gasper were waste of roster spaces. Adams could have some potential. Song deserves another chance outside Colorado. Booser is 32 years old with just one year MLB experience. The RS still need a right-handed backup C and a right-handed 1B backup. The fates of Hamilton+Abreu+Yoshida are the remainder of the off-season's story line. Does Roman Anthony start this year in Fenway. One thing that everyone seems to forget that the RS to replace around 30 minor league free agents losses. One thing that Corbin somewhat to underestimated was the power of RS trade chips. After Breslow trade for Crochet the RS need for Burnes went way down because they didn't an one or two pitcher.
I do not think the Red Sox are planning on having any rookies start the year in Majors. I think they will come up as injuries happen.
The Sox could be trading away people at the trade deadline because others have stepped up. That is a great situation to be in. Also, the players coming up hopefully will be fresh. It is still a very young team and many players will hit the wall. Instead of the Allstar break, hopefully it will be at the end of August.
@@Bondagefetishstore Interest comment. Anthony debatable timetable. But who replaces Kampbell at 2nd? A Hamilton/Vaughn tandem? They would need additional free agents replacements. Very possible, but somewhat redundant. They at least need a right-handed catcher+first baseman somewhere. The backup catcher market is extremely thin. Your idea is very possiblem,, but it would require more Breslow work.
I Think There Getting Bregman. His Defense And Championship Pedigree Gives Him An Advantage Over Hernandez Even If It's A Slight Advantage

You are right the lefty department is much better and Cam is big leagues ready so why waist him in the minors the sox did him a favor and sent him to a team that will use him that way.... I'm happy for him

i love boosers story and it was so heartwarming to talk about. but we needed an upgrade at the lefty bullpen position. too much inconsistency. but even then we couldn’t dfa someone like mickey gasper? why is he still here?
I think Booser actually was worth something legit on the market and that is why he ended up getting traded

I hate we sent Boozer out. In a season where there wasn't a ton of positive things happening he was a really fun feel good story to pay attention to. These are all definitely depth pieces, but we'll know their names in July when they're getting brought up.
Yeah it’s a good story but I also think they have enough depth for it not to be an issue. Hopefully by August this year this big story will be their playoff push!
