      Not really their fault on most of those. It was prevent D to chew the clock although it didn’t work that well because they let the check down get out of bounds every play.

      @@akingsfan87 it is the kicker’s fault. The laces aren’t that big of a deal and has no effect on a ball when it’s only a 20 yard field goal. Kicker just flat out shanked it after the holder spun the ball.

      @@lelouchvibritannia4028 there has been 0 statistically reason to ever use a prevent defense for nearly any reason even on 4th and long . A soft zone or even soft man to man generally works better. The only time it could be slightly effective, is when you are up multiple scores and trying to waste clock. Even then, time and time again teams will stick to the drag, slant, or out routes and immediately get out of bounds. Negating majority of a prevent defense time wasting efforts. Especially in college when the clock stop no matter what for a first down.

    That spot, despite the seeming randomness, was surprisingly accurate. I went over that spot 9 times in 0.25 playback speed and I could not dispute it. That ref had to do the same thing on a real time look!

    Surprisingly enough, spotting a ball is actually a ton easier than you'd think. I remember being so worried about this going into my first game as a ref. It's really no big deal though, it all just falls into place

    Love the MAC coverage! Elite college programs, we are not. We have some exciting ass games though, and some pretty good talent go on to the big show.

    I would have loved hearing when the whistle blew on that interception. #13 threw the ball in the air. He never downed it! Someone from Toledo could have grabbed it and run it in for a touchdown. Talk about a wild finish!!

    I may have missed something, but on the very last play when W. Mich. intercepted the ball. The interceptor never went down to end the play. And then he threw the ball into the air in celebration! Why didn't Toledo pick up the fumble and run it in for a game winning TD?
