Perfect timing... this will be my first winter EVER where I continue to run. I always stop due to cold and ice, then have to start over every spring. I'm enjoying 50ks, but I'm dismally slow. I signed up for a couple 5ks to keep me motivated and push my speed training. I'm determined to make 2023 my best ultra year.
Hope your winter running is going well
Solid advice!
Awesome! Thanks for all of your lessons Coach! 🙏 Sound advice always.
Thanks coach!
That Xero shoe that you're wearing must be a new one that hasn't been released yet. Looks like an updated version of the Mesa Trail. I really enjoy minimalist running and Xero are my go to shoes.
I FEEL Better 🏃♀️ 🏔️🙏
Sorry, friend. You mentioned there was a workout at the end of the video but I didn’t see it. Can someone help a dim guy like me out? 💖

Bless you, and thanks for all you do.
It looks beautiful there at this time of year. I used to run in vibram fivefingers but I damaged the bottom of my feet. My problem is I can't run in running shoes the way I run in VFF. My cadance drops, my footstrike changes and I think I just run weird in shoes.
I need to find a running shoe that is as close to VFF as it can be but yet still protect the bottom of my feet.
When I run in VFF all my hip problems go away. And when I return to running shoes my hip problems come back. It's so frustrating that I can't seem to run right in shoes.
Check out Xero Shoes. The Mesa Trail is excellent and way better than VFF. And Xero has an exciting new mtn runner for 2024....hard part is waiting that long.
@@BornToRunCoach Alright. I'll try them. Thanks.
@@mountainstream8351 thanks for always being so interested. Run strong and free.
@@BornToRunCoach I'm curious to know why you prefer Xero Shoes or other minimalist shoes over VFF? Thanks for all the informative content you put out, much appreciated.
@@jared9167 first off I like @xeroshoes commitment to natural shoes and I am excited for what they are doing long term. I run in the mountains where it is very technical so I need a protective shoe. And I like a shoe, can't stand the VFF fit. So Xero provides this for me for a lot of my runs and helps continue to develop strength for when I need more of a shoe for longer, more technical mountain runs.
💯❤
Solid advice Eric - thanks for sharing.
