Will we have a video in the future where the proportions are accurate due to a stationary camera? The changing angle of the camera here throws me off sometimes while following along?
@@uber1015 Perhaps it wasn't a problem for you (which is great for you) but for others like me, the camera jumping around changed the proportions so much so that measurements were hard to take consistently. In my opinion it works as a demo at his process more than a tutorial.
Awesome, this is pure gold and the best thing is that it is free. As he himself mentions, it is not the best nor the answer to what many beginner and intermediate illustrators we are looking for, but his way of tracing and understanding the form and structure in such a natural way is what takes too many years of experience and practice. Of course, seeing how to solve each problem with a few strokes is like watching a magician doing his own thing. Please keep uploading videos of Korean illustrators, I don't know what makes them so special but I am sure that many Westerners would like to draw like this.Thank you very much.
wow this is helpful for line drawing portrait, especially which line need to be drawn to indicate sense of space, and draw the same angle until u memorize the important part that make u feel it was look from below.
Hey he's got one of those magic brush pens like Kim Jung gi....i wonder is there a Wizard shop in Korea that the artists get one of those pens, tailored just for them like Harry Potters wand?
You can find pentel brush pens at almost any art supply store. They're fun and convenient if you're thinking of picking one up. Cartoonists including Chris Ware, Jim Woodring, and Charles Burns have used brushes with ink as the main drawing tool for decades.
The brush pen he uses is called Pentel Fude, it has various different models, ones that are sharp, some that have a hard nib, soft nib, whatever you'd like. You can find them on amazon, wish, etc. Hope that helped :)
Im so excited for what you guys will bring us next! It's awesome that you are bringing asian masters to be able to teach people from the west who dont speak their languages. ! Need more Katsuya Terada tutorials! Maybe Takehiko Inoue and more! KINU NISHIMURA !!
he breaks down the structure of the face in several geometric parts which has been super helpful for me in the past and he also gives lots of info how the angle influences the form
@@sky-zo2ml it..it was a joke.Yeah ,the breaking of the human head in simpler shapes he did is pretty useful tho he should ve shown us the general shape and then make a view from below.
i would love a version of these videos with voice over, because the subtitles take your eyes off the drawing. its also nice to listen to tutorials while doing your own drawings but you cant if its subtitled....
Not trying to be a difficult person here but rather give my thoughts. On another video i expressed that it was difficult without subtitles, but I must say it's also difficult with subtitles. Because you want to see his drawing method, but at the same time your eyes need to be low to read the subtitles :/ Maybe do both an english dub and subtitles without hearing the korean voice going through the english dub. :| I appreciate these videos so much btw!
Nope, its looks fine, looking at pictures from those types of angles, people's ears do go pretty back especially with the angle (sorry English isn't my first language)
Bald Lesbian Brush pen, yes. I wonder how they do it. I try to use mine from time to time but all my lines end up messy. They‘ve got some good control I can tell you that.

What a brush pen surgeon. Humble as well. Excellent video.

I'm sorry, it sounds like based on my comment you believe I'm obsessed with humility.

I was just reading a book on this, most books have how to draw faces from front, profile and 1/3 and nothing else.
Search professional art books, like the ones from Loomis.

Think in 3d and u can do it easily, ur just learning how to do it at specific angles. That'll make it hard to change up later on

uber 101 beginners have a problem with this I think, a stationary camera helps them
@@diemenjav A stationary camera is useful for all skill levels because here the drawing is obscured when it's at bad angles.
