    If we have inserted the gene of interest in tetracycline gene then the bacteria will not grow upon treatment with tetracycline then how can we collect it if it dies ????

      replica plating is for that !!

    • @shreyatiwari6162

      In replica containing ampicillin ,recombinant will survive ,so we can mark it's position and then extract the recombinant colonies of that position from the original ,master plate .

    Dont all the bacteries have antibiotik resistance genes how do we differentiate the ones that are inserted or not

    • @biologyexams4u
      @biologyexams4u  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, often bacteria with resistance plasmid is resistant to some antibiotics. We differentiate by replica plating. Only bacteria which is transformed with vector can live in ampicillin or tetracycline containing medium. Thank you
