Thanks so much for watching and commenting! I have to try the Centavo, I’ve been curious about that one. I’ll see what they’re going for used these days.
Great comparison. J. Archer Jeff Beck is a staple on my board. I was having issues finding a high gain pedal that didn't fill the room with feedback. I got this Behringer and used it for my high gain alone or stacked on top of the J Archer. Great high gain, no feedback. Well worth it especially for the price point.
@@albertomunoz4867 I’ll pick up the Jeff mod Archer soon. I don’t need another klone but, I think I “need” the Jeff! It’s that higher gain that is so appealing. Thanks so much for commenting, I appreciate it.
If you like the “Klon” sound and you do not have $5000 for an original , can’t blame you for getting a clone , many have nailed the tone , that purist bullshit is nonsense !
how do the knobs turn / feel ? my gain is really easy to sweep and the other two knobs have a nice pleasant resistance when turning them .. i wonder if i got a lemon
Just checked and mine is exactly the same as your’s. They may have rushed them out and didn’t check this batch for consistency. Thanks so much for watching and commenting!
I have to pair it with one of those. I’ll try a few different ones I have. It does pair very well with another Klon style pedal. I’m really liking this pedal so far.
Absolutely, and it turns out that the maker of the original had his hand in this one so that’s very cool. If the Klon was not “rare” but just very “boutique”, it would cost (adjusted for inflation) around $650 in 2025 which is still way too expensive for an overdrive. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment!
I haven’t tried a Top Boost yet. I’ve used Vox amps in small clubs and rehearsal rooms but really just for jazz with a hollow body. They are really responsive amps for sure. Now I want to know what a top boost is, I’ll have to look it up. Thanks so much for watching and commenting, appreciate it.
Thanks for watching. Yeah, you're right! It's times like this that living in an apt in NYC has its disadvantages. I'll definitely use a another studio for future gear videos, I want to hear their full range and do them justice. Appreciate it!
Thanks for watching! 12 weeks, in Europe?! Damn. Well, I think most all of us who have made videos about this pedal were on a waiting list for shipping in May this Spring, 4 months from now. We actually got them last week, hence all the videos. Maybe that waitlist is shorter in reality but still a wait time. Appreciate you leaving a comment.
The original company doest exist anymore. They don't build the original anymore. The ones that still exist run for minimum $5k. That is why there are so many copies of this pedal out there.
I can agree. A recent post said Bill F. (Klon) is indeed making more and will be auctioned off on eBay. Perhaps things like this are why? Curious. He should absolutely send a cease and desist to Behringer. This was purchased for me as a "gag" gift but I was stunned when I saw it.
I just saw last week that Bill F.,Klon, is making a few more to be sold/auctioned on eBay. Don't know anymore about it yet. The company does exist, it's called Klon KTR something, can't remember. He's just not making those particular pedals he originally made, until now I guess. I'm curious to see what's coming from him.
I purchased the Warm Audio Centavo Professional Overdrive Pedal but I may have to invest in this as well. Nice demo!

great video. It is a clone but super worth it, has its own personality. Thanks for breaking this down for us!!!

Behringer TO-800 screamer going into this sounds heavenly, listen to any John mayer song that is his Overdrive sound

Thanks for the video! Nice sounding pedal man. For $69? I'll probably pick one up.
Thanks for watching! Glad you liked the sound, it’s really a good pedal.
😅😂❤
Love the video but the talking volume was very hard to hear at times.
Thanks for watching. Yeah, the speaking volume seems way too low, so I definitely need to watch that on the next one. Appreciate your commenting.
If you dont have £10,000 or $ then I'm up for buying something that sounds absolutely amazing at a mega fraction of the cost!!

I DON'T NEED THIS. I DON'T NEED THIS. I DON.....bought it. Shut up.
I said that exact thing to myself last night browsing through Reverb.com! Yup, I too bought a pedal. Thx for watching!
Could record at a little higher volume on voice.
Yeah, definitely will balance the sound on the next one. The mic was in a weird position on this video. Thanks for watching, I really appreciate it!
The full gain sounds like a Vox Top Boost circuit; but _HOW?!_

you need to get the output up to at least 50%. don't be afraid.

Low Volume ?
I’ll definitely get the volume up on future videos. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Cen tor.... not cen tower... study the classics
I have no excuse! I actually took Ancient Greek literature in college. That’s all right nobody pronounces Phrygian correctly either.
Still 12 weeks before available in Europe?
yes

I can not and never will support a company who’s buisness model is to rip off others designs , and then build / sell at a cheap price point.

Not everyone can afford a $5000 klon , there are many who have nailed the Klon sound , kudos to them !
