I test rode the 750 in the hot Florida summer. It seems the cooling system is a failure. The fan blows all the engine heat into your crotch. It's the worst I've experienced.
Excellent video! I work for Harley and plan on becoming a salesman, and I enjoyed this video. I want to understand why these bikes aren't a top pick for city use, and this was very informative as to why. Also, holy crap, that traffic scares me. You're a great rider!
Thanks for the comment. I highly appreciate if you could pass an information about the heating issue in traffic. Need to say, it's a wonderful highway motorcycle. But we don't get that everyday 😊
@@iamstrell I absolutely will pass it on! I plan on making my way up enough in the company that my voice can be heard, and Harley can hear from someone who's selling the bikes what people do and don't like. Especially my generation since we are who the company is trying to get.
I plan putting forward controls on mine. That gets the knees lower and midway between the 2 cylinders. Much more comfortable too, along with raised handlebars.
As you should be aware, during slow speed, the radiator fan switches on and the air is blown towards your thighs. It's not the engine or the exhaust that is causing the heat. With the heat deflector, the air from the radiator fan is deflected away from your thighs... 😀😀
on one of our test rides with SR 750 and Iron 883, damn both gave a red heat skin marks and even the pillion was getting the heat wave. Got off the bikes few feet away from HD showroom and drag them by walk. Never a tandoor between the legs.
Having heard of the heat issues and poor heat management, I went for the Triumph Street Twin. Its been good and manageable even in the months of May and Jun in Delhi traffic.
It’s best to avoid traffic with high capacity air cooled (or any) bikes. I try, as much as I can, to avoid traffic by taking alternative routes when riding my 48. My mind is also occupied with the thought of bringing down the engine temp. by allowing sufficient draft of air to pass by, and for that, you need decent stretches of straight road or be doing higher average speeds with shorter stop spans! Ufff!!
Thank you for your sacrifice ,,heat should not be to much of a problem in Wales uk ,,, but it's not good from a world maker of motorcycles ,,,as most people all ways wanted a harley,,and this bike was for new riders to get in to the harley brand ,you would expect them to have done a lot better
I am watching this video after 2 years because I thought about to buy a harley now and I am checking all the reviews. Now i have changed my mind since I live in Delhi.
Avinash Jagtap Heat management is better on the Vulcan largely due to the parallel twin engine architecture but the riding position leaves a lot to be desired. Personal opinion.
Most reviews indicate that the entire range of HD bikes have one or the other SIGNIFICANT problem. Which makes me wonder how the brand got such immense popularity that every kid and uncle knows it
Hope u watched or know about movies like knight rider . All bikers are symbolises with skull burning engines heat ..all that heat is of Harley engines ..they heat up like hell .. but its fun to ride them
A moving Harley is a fun Harley. The reason Harley riders always take off from a stop so quickly is because we're almost on fire from the engine. Lol. We're running.
Buddy I feel the heat issue with my CBR as well. Is it due to dust and mud gets over the engine head and the radiator due to small front tyre mudguard.or anything else I need to check on. It smells sometime like the burning smells of clutch plate I showed it to mechanic he said there is no issue during rain it happens that when the enigine is hot and when rain water sprinkles on it then it smells like that as it has all its body covered by the fairing.pls suggest
Thanks for the reply. And yes there is no other sound from engine and the temperature indicator cool and hot indicator never rise high above three lines.
I just love ur honest reviews bud, burnt balls are not good for health bro.... 😂😂😂✌ Try to get ur hands on the Kawasaki 400 if possible I would like to hear ur review on it.....
Bro, I wanna purchase RTR200 race edition (ABS) but I am tempted to raise my budget and go for RR310. My usage is more in the city and I am upgrading from Honda Shine. I am a solo rider. Which machine should I buy? RTR200 or RR310. Please suggest.
*Get it to a machine shop and ask them to install two electric car fans on both sides opposing each other and basically hook up a one way switch although you'll need a more poweful battery!* _GREETINGS FROM KOSOVA_
I have an 18’ street rod and I lived at the beach when I bought it was 95°+ on days my bikes also black so at stop lights I’d cook but that’s any bike not just this one
I have this motorcycle, and so far I haven't had any bad heat issues. I have had liquid cooled Japanese motorcycles and in heavy traffic, they put out heat also... just saying.
I think because the weather and avarage temperature of the country make the bike have different behavior. And the driver in this video is in India , yep India itself is one of the country that have higher avarage temperature than other countries.
Damn....now i will have to rethink on buying this..... nonetheless i see ppl selling this not even completing 2k km.... If 750 street the same? Let me know.... Next option is gt 650.... Edit: imagine wearing a short n ride this machine thinking to look cool...
Yes street rod heats up really fast and Bangalore traffic is not a place for the street rod, but iron 883 is better compared to street rod (didn't feel the heat as compared to the street rod) P.S : I don't own then, got both the bikes for a week. Would recommend iron 883.
Bhai..I am in a dilemma..Could you pls tell me if I can go for Fz 25.. My needs: Moderate touring and city rides 1.5 lakh price range Avg fuel efficiency of 35-40kmpl Everything looks fair with the fz 25.. But lack of abs and 6th gear.. That's the only confusion.. Is it better to wait for the abs version or go for w/o abs..or go for some other bike..ur opinion would b really helpful..

The Defenestrator bad cooling system just like the Indian scout fryed nuts
I plan putting forward controls on mine. That gets the knees lower and midway between the 2 cylinders. Much more comfortable too, along with raised handlebars.
A small heat deflector will fix the problem you mentioned. Day and night difference. Thought to share it for the benefit of others... 😀😀

It's nothing compared to the normal street 750. 😂😂 You can cook an omelette on that thing
OMG!! I actually booked one yesterday..shit..😑😬😣
Rlly bro I m booking street 750 telll me is it that bad

This is electronic city! My god you might get boiled up when shooting the video
😂
I nearly bought this bike but when I saw so many complaining about heat issues, I withdrew. HD What were you thinking ? US Roads?
Its good for cities with less traffic and good road conditions.
it might be good for chandigarh, roads and infrastructure is good there
klaus michalson Absolutely....and the traffic is not remotely as bad as Mumbai-Delhi-Bengaluru.
Maybe because its a well planned city and that too after the independence so its relatively new too.
Keep up the good work bro! And OUCH!😂😂

Which one is better " Duke 390 and Yamaha YZF r3
R3 for the comfort.
Duke for handling.
I was more shocked on the terrible driving EVERYONE was doing . How you force yourself in a lane next to a car everyone was so reckless
Is there any sound from the radiator fans...?is louder than ktm'

Butter thighs 🍖🍖😂😂 man this doesn't get old😂😂
does 2019 HONDA CB650r have the same heat issue? I am choosing between HD street 500 and CB650r.
how is vulcan s compared to this bike?
many ppl say there is no heating issue with vulcan
Avinash Jagtap Heat management is better on the Vulcan largely due to the parallel twin engine architecture but the riding position leaves a lot to be desired. Personal opinion.
How is the heat when compared to the new duke 390?
You are definitely right.. This is the reason why I sold my harley and get a Japanese bike..
