Finally, all tasks in one app. Thanks for the clear explanation Reza!
You're most welcome
Except for those created during a meeting:(
I've been waiting for the new Planner - encouraged (hopeful) that MS will finally give us one tool to use/manage. Great overview as usual. THANK YOU!
Most welcome
Excellent walkthrough of the new Planner App. Good to be aware of what's new and how to take advantage of it. Thanks for sharing again.
Glad it was helpful!
Many thanks Reza. Good to see you with such new approach ❤
More to come!
Thank you for the clear explanation Reza on the new Planner
Most welcome
Thanks as always!
Most welcome
Hello,
I'm back on your youtube channel. Thanks you, Reza Doranni, the demo is good. I'm going tu try it.
Best regards,
Welcome back!
Hi Reza, Thanks for the detailed explanation. Is there any option to upload a custom Project for the Web Template?
Welcome!
I did not find any option to do that.
Thanks for showing the features of new planner. Do you know, how many custom fields can be manually added? And what is the maximum number of tasks in a project? Thanks again
Most welcome!
Not aware of any specific limits as I did not see that in documentation.
Reza, as always, your videos are excellent. Question where does the data live? Dataverse, SharePoint? I have a few ideas in mind that I would like to try however I would need access to the data structure. Thanks.
Microsoft uses various Azure Services to store the Planner data and correlated information in the background
Thanks a lot!! How is the new planner (non premium) different from the old planner / task-teams app. Seems to be exactly the same, but with premium integration of project for the web, or am I missing something?
Its more or less the same but with a one stop shop app for all tasks in one location. Premium features is where the add-ons are.
Great video thanks Reza - can you confirm whether these features are included in the Microsoft Business Premium licenses? Or is there any additional license cost?
The planner premium features I believe require Microsoft project license to use (additional cost)
The remaining features should be included
Reza, thank you for your videos, I have learned so much from them, I am trying to use the new planner and use a powerautomate flow to import some relatively complex lists into a premium plan, but the PA connectors do not seem to work with the new planner and I cannot find the Planner ID. IS there anyway to import plans into the new planner and premium plans, thank you!
I do not have a video reference on this scenario and would have to try it out to provide guidance. I recommend checking on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com/ in case someone has done something similar.
This seems really handy! Do you happen to know whether it will have the ability to set time reminders (like in the To Do List) or will it be more like Planner and schedule for the day?
I believe its same as before
@@RezaDorrani amazing! I've been utilising the reminder in an adaptive card but this could be a game changer if it's all in one place...
Nice simple video. Thanks.
Any information on cost per seat for the planner premium?
Thanks so much!
Planner premium I believe is same as project for the web pricing.
@@RezaDorrani OK and how much is the Web planner

When will existing Plans be able to be migrated to Planner Premium? I have 10+ Plans, and use Project for the Web. I have been desperate for task dependencies and ability to add colums in Planner. Benefit of Planner is the the 'Assigned to Me' view to see all tasks assigned to me from various Plans. Thanks for the walk through.
Cant wait to have Project Online (PWA) features integrated into Planner (e.g resource planning, and Oracle integration)
I am not aware of the timeline for that but it would be an awesome addition for sure
I was looking at developing a powerapp for a complicated project and workflow management use case. Would you say that this would be a better approach than a powerapp
If the planner app meets your needs, then use it
Hello Reza, thank you for the video. I think it'll be very interesting a video to manage the new Planner and Roadmaps using PowerApps. Somehow the Roadmap connection is not very helpful, or maybe I don't know how to use it 😅
Interesting Yes but a lot of work. I make videos when I receive multiple requests on a topic. Every 6 months I ask subscribers for topic suggestions on Community Tab of my channel. Most voted topic ideas get added to my backlog. Make sure to suggest this idea whenever the next topic suggestion post is out.
@@RezaDorrani thank you for the reply Reza. I will definitely suggest it. :) Have a nice day!
Thanks for the vídeo Reza!
Custom field(Premium) 😢
Premium features require project license
@@RezaDorrani thanks for this information!
I wish the flagged emails actually opened in the outlook app instead of browser. Plus it would be more useful if it also showed 'pinned' emails as well. Just saying :)
I agree
How about the OneNote tasks, do they end up in Planner eventually?
I don't think they do at the moment.
Currently it includes asks from basic plans, premium plans, tasks from Loop, tasks from Teams meeting notes and flagged emails.
If I create a private plan, a plan just for me, how do I delete the plan? I tried from in Teams and on the web, I did not see delete. Thank you.
I believe that delete option is hidden somewhere in that teams app. I don’t remember where.
Thank you for a detailed and simple walkthrough. I am a bit annoyed though that they threw swimlane view and dependencies both of which are the most basic and legacy project plan capabilities into a premium subscription bucket. This will be another subscription where one person in the group will subscribe for that feature across the team.
Welcome!
I believe those capabilities come from project for the web and hence the premium license ask.
is it require any premium connection or license. this is what i am expecting few days. maybe it will helpful. but can we use normal Power platform users
This video has nothing to do with power platform.
It is related to Planner App.
Planner premium features requires a Project license.
Hi @Reza ,
Can I get some information about building a plugin for an environment.
I do not have a video reference on this scenario and would have to try it out to provide guidance. I recommend checking on the forums at powerusers.microsoft.com/ in case someone has done something similar.
Hey Reza, does everyone who wants to use the premium plan needs to be subscribed to the premium subscription? Or is it sufficient if one person creates the plan(as a premium user) and everyone else can collaborate no matter the license?
I believe everyone needs it
Is this GA now? Heard about it back in November and have been waiting. Also still waiting on that new SharePoint List form experience. Tired of getting excited for features from Microsoft and then sitting on my hands.
Public preview - video description has the link.
New SP List forms is also in preview.
Can we copy existing plans that are in the web planner app into the teams planner?
I believe they automatically show up. No need to copy.
Hi Sir how do I create Flow to delete task that already "completed" task. e,g task that was completed more than 3 months ago, using flow. I have tried using delete task but cant find the bucket id during the selection.
I do not have a video reference on this scenario and not something I have tried.
It currently isnt possible to use the new planner in the web version?
No, it’s currently only in the teams app.
What needs to be considered, when using the Microsoft Power Platform, to develop a solution in a Health Care setting? Tenical answer will be appriccated
I am not well versed with health care setting. Best to check documentation on power platform adoption.
Does anyone know if this "New Planner" will replace in a near future the current Planner app ?
I have not heard any announcements around this
How do you delete a plan? I have created a few as demo and need to get rid of them.
I believe there is an option but don’t remember where
Doesnt support task created in a teams meeting nor dev ops tasks..... i would assume also doesnt include dynamics tasks either (unless synced with outlook)....
Currently does not. The blog post linked in description calls out all whats supported.
In UK org follow UK GDPR, Personal privacy and HL7,
OK. Forget about health and care. Just answer the question.. What should be consider.. Tangent, environment, licensing, resilience,
Tell me about integration dwst it requires any kind of licence..
Check documentation on power platform adoptions and guidance. It has all the information.
Still didn't have seamless connectivity with powerbi
I have not heard any announcements around this
How to create a task from flagged email
1:52 in video
It lists out flagged emails
I wish it could be used externally
You mean guest users?
The free version is exactly the same as the old one
Yes
Same as before and still won't integrate with Microsoft Project.
Ok
🎉 Or twist the question that what are the constraints and limitations in power platform?
What I have seen, copilot with office, is ultimate for enterprise..
But.. It could be useless to opt everything in power platform..
.. Using excel with copilot for sequence of events log auditing, is best example..
If you're using Project why would you need Planner integration?
@@emjem99 You can continue to use project. This is another option via teams app that bring all tasks from m365 in one location.
The new planner has new icon. You still have the old planner
Yes, it was announced after the video was out.
I may update the thumbnail later.
❓Looks promising but does it solve my main two problems❓
1. Many users accidentaly click on the DONE button on tasks asigned to three persons, leaving the other two with completed task, which they sometimes didnt even see….
2. I like to manage daily tasks in mobile app, but there I cannot just push parts of a bigger task into my daily view via checklists - If I do my part of a bigger task with checklist I will still see it on daily view to distract me…
I dont think so
@@RezaDorraniThanks Reza
Nam farsi boli desi …e kaaa hui gawa
Kya problem hui bhai?
I can't wait to make a project called test and never use it again.
:)
Still a poor cheap ass version of trello. And still after these years not close to trello
Ok
Its possible call mention "@" like as Trello?
Once you create a group plan and assign tasks to users (like @ mention) it will notify the users
in this this new planner we can mention someone (@xx) in the commentary section of the card? and the people receives notification...
I did not see an option to do that.
@@RezaDorrani incredible that microsoft did not include this feature yet.. i think that is a basic feature really important to allow the continuous management of the task...
@@lucastemponi I did not see it based on my testing. May be its something coming soon. Please note: the feature is currently in preview.
