    +joshua hawkins I don't use any Distortion pedals really. I have a Boss DS-2 for a bit of a solo boost sometimes. Boss MD-2 pedal is a good little pedal if you want a simple, cheap distortion pedal. Sounds good of course!

      Its exactly the same idea, technically the fret positions are the same on both, you just have to get the idea and then go for it !!

    Hey dude! Loved the video. I have a question. I can't seem to come up with more than a few melodies on guitar. How do I break that? I don't know notes and scales and shit, should I try to learn some scales?

    So are you just playing the octave chords in whatever key and then just playing the ocavte notes for each one separately? Or are you playing the chord and the octave notes at the same time? I'm confused

      This youtube comment system is so broken. Anyways, just the whole idea. I know what harmonics are, and how they cut octaves, so is this the same idea?

    • @MattZerkovichGuitar
      @MattZerkovichGuitar  9 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      iDrPepp I'm not entirely sure what you mean by 'cut octaves'. But, say you've got yourself a chord progression in G major, you then want to use octave chords that are in G major. So any note in G major basically. G A B C D E F#. Any octave chords of those notes will sound 'right' over your progression. Then it's just a case of deciding how you want to use them. e.g Following with a 3rds harmony/creating a melody/holding them. Make any sense? haha
