Me and my brother just starting our lawn care business. We've been in business for the last 4 months or so and I need as much knowledge I can get about EVERY tool we own.
I bought my Mustang 50 to replace my "almost: th-cam.com/users/postUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend worn out John Deere L120 (48" Cut - 20 HP Briggs). First off - I can now mow my almost 3 acres in about 1/2 the time it took with my other mower... I have had the Mustang 50 for almost 2 years now... Maintenance is easy - the Kohler Motor is "out in the open" and everything, except for the oil filter, is VERY easy to get to... To change the oil filter I have learned to fold the seat forward - no problem now... The deck is SUPER easy to drop... Rememb..
Grass is starting to grow so put the battery back in my 2021 Z421 and topped up the tank with ethanol free gas to get ready for the season. Turned over fine but took a few tries for the engine to catch with the choke pulled up. When it caught it belched out quite a bit of smoke. Pushed the choke down and it ran for 3 or 4 minutes and then quit. Will not restart. Not impressed since the machine is stored inside and i put stabilizer in the fuel. Will try it again tomorrow. I suppose the routine will be to pull the fuel line off at the filter and see if it is getting gas and then look at the spark plugs. Any other suggestions? Thanks.
@@HuckabonesEquipment Thanks, I got is going this morning. Something was stopping the fuel. I ended up blowing into the gas tank from the fuel filler and it removed whatever the obstacle was. Started right up. So once again I am happy with my Kubota and look forward to tackling the grass again.
When I move the levers for the lawn more to go forward or reverse, the engine shuts down. Is the safety switch accessible by the owner? And can it be repaired by the owner?

may want to check the adjustment on your choke cable to make sure its engaging, we have seen that a few times on the Z100/Z200 series tractors
