I struggle to recall information, it goes in easy enough but then disappears into the abyss so I have to rely on instinct, muscle memory & feel, no 'go to' fills for me. This is absolute gold.

The dugga method can be translated as the TACA method (in spanish). Ta, TACA and Tacatá (with an accent in the last a).
But dugga works fine to me!
    Great lesson, as always!

I'm an old man that still likes playing my drums as I do for my church. I love your method of teaching as it is plain and to the point. This is a real eye opener for me in the 6/8 time as we play/sing a lot of our church music in this beat. I'm going to be making the congregation "get down to a shaken" when I apply the method you mention in this lesson!! :) Thanks Rob for this and other videos you've made. I look forward to all of them!

I don't comment very often but this lesson is awesome. Vocalizing the fills with this simple system is brilliant. Most of the rudiments are based on vocalization and I don't know why we don't do this more often. Rob, you are definitely in the top 5 drum instructors on TH-cam thank you so much.

I absolutely love how simple you make things. No need to over complicate. This is especially helpful because I'm terrible at remembering specific fills. I improvise A LOT...lol. Doesn't help 99% of my time playing is by myself so...😯 Hopefully that will be changing soon.

Rob I have spent hours watching your tutorials and this dug Dugga duggada lesson was amazing I would give anything to be able to sit down across from you and work on my 6,8 groove and fills I've spent my life intimidated by those types of grooves, up to speed that is. You are amazing brother thank you for not acting like most drummers with their don't get as good as me attitude. YOU ARE THE MAN!

Nothing but love for this video. You just fixed 6/8 for me. I was awful at fills or trades in this time signature. I've never spent any money with you, but his one helped me so much that I'm going to buy some gear. I love your Jazz stuff, but I wish you had a similar system for trading 4's in Jazz. Everytime I get into a 4, I can get it started OK, but then it falls apart.

Outstanding! I love the 6/8 feel and have been edging into it recently. This technique is so helpful especially as I've just started jamming at a local open mic. Improvising is my only option at the moment as I've been learning to play drums the last two years, not learning to learn covers ;) Another thumbs up from me mate x
