    I prefer the forgotten temples. They are beautiful, full of mystery. Many thanks for sharing and the translation much appreciated

    Beautiful. The tourist temples are too cheesy. Here are REAL temples.

    Wonderful find! Having tried the same thing myself in Bagan, I never came across anything as overgrown and untouched as you guys did.

    Thank you for showing some of the forgotten temples. It is nice to see mystery in it’s rustic beauty. To think this was a center of holiness years ago. Breathtaking

    Absolutely beautiful! Appreciate your respect towards the religious monuments despite not being your religion. Good luck!

    Every time I visit Bagan, I always want to visit the closed temples but I couldn't . You two are really brave .

    Erg mooi! Ik vind dit ook leuker dan toeristische attracties. Ik mag in het buitenland graag zelf wandelen en kom ook regelmatig verlaten panden en objecten tegen. Zo gaaf!

      Thanks ! Have you seen some more of the thrilling adventures like the Spaceshuttles on an active Russian base, A Submarine on a military base and an abandoned airport at the UN headquarters? :)

      +Cuddlemeep well it would be not respectful if we walked with our shoes there. It’s a sacred site😁

    You are always very respectful in every place. That's great ... with other explorers there is party mood and lots of silly and stupid things happen. I do not want to see that.

      They can’t upkeep (2000+)all temples so some are in decline. They are 1200-800years old

    It seems strange to me that they spent some much effort to build the temples, then abandoned them. And yet, they still practice the same religion.?

    • @ikinaflyer4558
      @ikinaflyer4558 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Built by ancient royal families,when they died,those pagodas are left unattended,imagine some have to clean all 2000 temples,lol

    Why exactly are you dating her? She seems to have a much different view of "exploration"

  • @oddballsok
    @oddballsok 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I ve been in Bagan in...1999.
    Also found the place inspiring.
    But in order to find this "one" temple with unlocked gate, you must have spent the entire day trying out 100's of locked temples.
    Pfff.
    The dilligence.

    • @ExploringtheUnbeatenPath
      @ExploringtheUnbeatenPath  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ODDBALL SOK must have been way more fun back then! It’s so overcrowded and you aren’t even allowed anymore to climb most pagoda’s nowadays... but yes, it costed a lot of time and frustration and finding a way through thornbushes to find some of these forgotten temples which were open.
