    Highlights Recap:
    1. Die-cast zinc receiver, steel receiver cover, metal surface reproduced with rough texture, 1:1 measurement from real steel.
    2. Die-cast aluminum gas tank magazine(not an outer case), 35 rounds.
    3. Plastic handguard and stock, TM special printing applied, digital scanned real wood processes, hand Painted grip in plum color.
    4. Real wood is not an option in regard to cost and supply issue, TM indicated they were experienced at printing and painting to make a realistic appearance as well as a special treatment will be reproduced this time.
    5. Hammer down at mag out, AK doesn’t have bolt lock when empty while TM reproduced a feature which let it stop firing when out of BBs, and this function can be canceled by user anytime. Bolt seems not fully traveled.

    One thing Tokyo Marui gets right, is that every airsoft guns they make looks EXACTLY the same (shape-wise) as the real steel.
    Including this AKM.
    Most AKM AEGs or GBBRs has a slightly longer receiver, slightly longer magazine, slightly longer stock, thicker pistol grip, thicker handguards, too square-ish trigger guard, or anything else that makes them look "a little" off. Yes, including CYMA, LCT, E&L, DBoys, and GHK. All looks "slightly off".
    This AKM GBBR's shape looks exactly like the real one. God damn..
    If only LCT / GHK's AKM looks like this shape-wise...

    • @zebracherub
      @zebracherub 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes! Proportions wise, this AKM is absolutely perfect. And late type cast gas block!! Perfect AKM-type trigger also. Only thing I'm disappointed is the stock seems attached differently than on the real gun ; which will make adaptation of real wood annoying. It could also use more space between the lower handguard and upper handguard, the wood never touches on the real Soviet AKMs, there is actually a pretty big gap, which is not replicated here.

  • @Droid_Behaviour
    @Droid_Behaviour 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The GHK AKM is way better, Marui, as always, doesn't want to use real wood, i was really waiting for their AKM, but it's very disappointing...
    I will keep my GHK AKM for sure : LCT receiver (steel everywhere!) and real wood, not, again, imitation wood plastic, even if it's better done than on the AK47 Type 3 NGRS, it keeps an appearance of a toyish gun, really toyish...and the handguard is really weird.
    The receiver is still a zinc made receiver, not stamped steel, for a price of 500 dollars(or more), it's very expensive for what it is!
    When i see how the paint goes off easily on my M4 MWS GBBR from TM (not on the receiver, it's Cerakote) on the handguard, barrel, front sight assembly, and how cheap are their plastic parts, it's still a very fun replica, but too expensive for what it is, again.
    I hope it will be possible to put some true AKM furnitures on this TM AKM GBBR!

    • @verdugo7974
      @verdugo7974 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      TM guns are more expensive because their guns are ACTUALLY 1:1 to the real steel. Nothing looks off shape-wise. Probably because they paid license from the real manufacturer.
      The cons are, they don't use wood, steel etc. Mostly aluminum, plastic, or pot metal.
      Different from other Airsoft brands, LCT calls their AKM as LCT LCKM, GHK calls their AKM as GHK GKM GBBR, CYMA calls their AKM as CM048M.
      They all look slightly off shape wise compared to the real steel.
      Slightly longer receiver, slightly longer stock, slightly longer magazine, thicker pistol grip & handguards, trigger guard looking too square-ish around the corner, etc.
      If only other manufacturer produces their AKs like TM (shape-wise), but still uses stamped steel and real wood as the materials. That would've been amazing.

    • @Droid_Behaviour
      @Droid_Behaviour 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@verdugo7974Hello!
      No, TM guns are not 1:1 scale from the real steel, for exemple, their MP7 GBB are 8% smaller than the real steel...
      TM doesn't have any licences, Japanese laws doesn't seem to bother with licences, look at their Glock GBB, only VFC/Cybergun have the licence, not TM, and it's the same with their COLT markings on the M4A1 NGRS series guns, they don't have the license...
      Yes you're right, about LCT/CYMA,GHK guns, but i have VFC AK's and they are 1:1 scale, and with the correct true Russian "glossy" paint, TM guns don't have this type of paint.
      I think TM guns are expensive beacause they are made in Japan by Japanese people, not in China, or Taiwain, and wages in Japan are much higher...
      Furthermore, TM packaging for their guns are very cool, but i prefer to have a box like LCT and ,a full steel replica with true real wood, rather a beautiful box like my TM AK47 Type 3 NGRS, but with a very fragile gun, my AK47 Type 3 is out of service beacuse i hit the buttstock on the corner of a tree, and to find replacement parts...good luck, it's unacceptable to my mind, for a gun that cost me more than 550 euros (i'm French) with faux plastic wood...
      I understand totally people who loves TM, but i'm more skeptical about this brand now, but it's subjective of course ;)
