    my TM AKM arrived a few days ago, and I dare say that it's the best gbbr I've ever used out of the box. everything is perfect from performance to cosmetics--even the price is affordable. I'm starting to really like it and hope more upgrade parts will come out soon.

      저는 ak류가 하나도 없어서 큰맘먹고 구매했었죠 단점은 바렐이 너무 짧더라고요 고작 20cm, 해서
      프로메테우스6.00mm, 360mm(370인데 1cm 짤라버리고 자작고정투포인트홉업달아주었음)집어넣어줬더니 음 탄속이.....
      좌우 유격도 없애고요...
      가늠쇠는 조절가능하다고 하지만 별의미가 없더군요 돌아가는것도 맥없이 돌아가는것 같아 아예 가늠쇠 나사에 본드를 발라 고정시켜버렸습니다

    Hi Ollie, I've been watching your videos about the M4 MWS and this AKM but still really on edge on which to get for a training platform. I'm just getting back into airsoft being absent from the scene for about 6-7 years therefore would really appreciate your advice on each of the platforms. Thank you for the awesome and informative videos! I'm looking to put magpul parts on whichever platform I get.

    • @OllieTalksAirsoft
      @OllieTalksAirsoft  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well both function like the real steel so are perfect for training, the MWS has better after market support and shoots a bit better out of the box (250mm inner barrel Vs 200mm on the AKM) recoil is better on the AKM and the AKM has (so far) had zero issues or miss feeds even mag dumping in the cold (0-5°C).
      Both platforms can take the magpul accessories and parts as a drop in although I've not tried putting anything on the AKM personally others have and put them on TH-cam so it's definitely possible.
      Personally, with that's going on in the world right now I'd be learning to use an AK platform, but that's a sad reason to pick the AKM over the MWS. There's a reason I have both and as soon as I can get an AKS74u made by TM my bank account will once again be drained 🤣

Yeah with what’s going on in the world having some AK skills would be nice, I was debating between the two because in 2 years I’m going to be in the service and not quite sure which platform my country will be running then. @@denny3725 I think you're right and the M4 is famously ergonomic and easily mastered, the AK platforms have always had a more complex manual of arms. But hey I still practice with my Type89 and there's no way I'll ever see a real one of those 😂 classic boy scout, always be prepared!!!

    I especially like the recoil. it feels much heavier than GHK. the bb trajectory surpasses any other gbbrs on the market. I wonder how TM can always pull off this high level of performance with as light bbs as 0.2g.

    Hey Ollie, I was wondering have you done an upgrade for the inner barrel ?

    • @OllieTalksAirsoft
      @OllieTalksAirsoft  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Not yet but it's a standard VSR type with an open window. The stock is only 200mm long but you can go much longer if you want. Depending on where you live it may push your FPS up too much. As long as you get a good quality inner then it'll improve accuracy a little but the hop up upgrade usually gives the best results for the least money.

    Great vid as always! I finally got out for a skirmish with the AKM this weekend, and I followed your advice with the 60 degree Mr Hop silicon bucking - and you're right, the range was far more impressive than before. I was running on .28's and I was getting all that I needed for the CQB site I was at (50/50 mixture of indoor and out). One thing I did notice though, was a tendency to veer to the left near the end of the range. As it was 'hopping' in the right direction (as in floating up a bit before dropping and then veering to the left) I put it down to windage. But it was doing it at every direction I was facing (and even then, I didn't notice any significant wind effect). Is this normal - or do I need to take a look at something? Any advice will be welcome.

    • @OllieTalksAirsoft
      @OllieTalksAirsoft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Awesome 😎 glad to hear your range is popping off!! If you step to .32s the gun is even better.
      I had similar but to the right at distance, I wasn't too concerned though as it usually comes down to 2 things. 1 is user error (I'm guilty of this) and other is tolerances.
      We'll cover off 2 first, hop rubbers are mass produced and all may not be perfect. I've had some lemon rubbers before (most memorable was a knackered nineball purple rubber as one look at it and you could see it was off)
      So 1st was user error, but not really, so at an extended range any cant/tilt to the rifle will be exacerbated down range, shooting 40m you won't notice but 60+ you really do. My gun was always pulling to the right, I ended up using a spirit level to see if I was straight as I was certain I was....I wasn't basically. Once I corrected my shooting position to be properly vertical the problem went away.
      So I'm not saying it is you, or the rubber, but those are two variables worth considering. Hope this doesn't cause offence as it's not intended too, like I said I've done this...and still do 😭

    • @JohnH5528
      @JohnH5528 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OllieTalksAirsoft No Offence at all! My go to reason for anything going wrong is 'me' :-) I will check that out properly in my next game. To be fair, I only noticed it when I took it out before the game started to check the range - in game, I think I was almost never aiming more than 40-45 metres, which was as straight as a die - you're right, it was only veering off at the very end of it's flight. I will play with heavier weights and see what impact that has too.
      Thanks for being a great sounding board mate - it really has helped.

      @JohnH5528 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    I had the same "problem" maybe not a problem for you but for me it was because I am not happy with .32g BBs ML bukings could not lift more than max .36gin my MWS no matter what type I used and I tried with different nubs.
    I was recommended Modify X-range and holyshit a difference, it lifts .48g. I usually use .43g It is in a MWS though but it sounds like max for ML is the same in the AKM. Same problem with my WE PDW and again Modify X buking solved it, I screw the hop at max 1/3 to lift .43g

    • @OllieTalksAirsoft
      @OllieTalksAirsoft  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow that's some heavy weight you're lifting there. I've been able to lift .45s in my F1 MWS and that thing is insanely good. But I do usually top out at .32s for standard skirmishes.

    So I’ve installed the maple leaf MR hop. Range issue solved. But I had the gun veer off to the left. Found that the way the hop works, it seems to apply more pressure to the left of the rubber than to the right. So put a bit of tape in the right of the arm and it fixed it. Problem now, is I’m getting a little bit of inaccuracies at a distance. Like 50 metres or more. I’ve ordered a maple leaf 6.02mm at 245mm in length. A bit longer and tighter, so will try to run a .32 and see if that fixes it. Any other tips??

    • @OllieTalksAirsoft
      @OllieTalksAirsoft  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sounds like those fixes will likely work for you. I've just picked up the bbf enhanced lever and omega nub to test out, it'll apply more pressure and should mean I can hop .4s and really stretch it's legs 😊

    • @liambrown4214
      @liambrown4214 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@OllieTalksAirsoft I’ve also brought the enchanced lever. The changes I made didn’t help. So I added a layer of super glue to the right arm on the hop lever, and filed it down until my rubber was straight. This seems to have solved the issue and I’m not plopping a .32 with a high of 1.08 joules and a low of 0.94. I’m pretty happy with these numbers

    If I were to upgrade the inner barrel, will it have the vsr cut opening type like in pistols or an aeg cut? Would it be worth it or just the mr. Hop bucking enough that there's no need for a different inner barrel?

    • @OllieTalksAirsoft
      @OllieTalksAirsoft  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's VSR cut as stock. I would say get the rubber as it's cheap and will give the most noticeable improvement. Best bang for your buck basically. Then if you're looking for something more afterwards you can look for an inner barrel upgrade. But it won't do as much as the rubber.
