That's some insane growth. More than doubling your net worth in a year :) And i support including CPF in our net worth. The more i understood about finance, the more I appreciate CPF. Starting out learning about personal finance just like 2yrs ago, the first thing ppl say is save/invest X amount of your income (usually 10 or 20%) for retirement. For us Singaporeans, CPF practically does it for us. The only downside is liquidity so you can't use it as an emergency fund. We save/invest to plan for our retirement and CPF is a crucial part of our retirement planning, which honestly compared to US's 401k, its made WAY easier by our govt. 😊
Followed quite sometime, i like your channel because you are transparent on what your income invest and etc, also you are start from zero and not high paid at first which make me feel ‘real’, and everyone can make it if follow your habit
the bonds portion is new to me! have you done a video on how to buy bonds? anything specific i should search to learn more? very inspiring! keep it up!
Hello! I had this done in 2023 - th-cam.com/video/pAUFxRdQA50/w-d-xo.html I should do an updated one soon! Feel free to DM me on Insta if you have questions! I'd be open to share more.
Hi Demi, which Silver or Gold coin is good for us to keep for long term investment in Singapore? Do you keep that too ? I know we can use that as collateral to get loans if times gone bad.
Just stumbled upon your channel and love that you give such a transparent Singaporean perspective!!! I've watched your videos on you investing in the S&P 500, and I'm not sure if you are already invested, but what are your thoughts on the STI? Curious about why you would choose to be in CSPX but not the STI with it's 0% dividend tax. Otherwise POWER af love the insane effort
1. Increase your Income (promotions, change job, side hustle) 2. Balance spending on what you need vs wants 3. Have a partner that has the same mindset as you when it comes to finances I won't be able to show that part lol I'm not married and no plans on having kids.
Build good money mindsets while you're young, that stays even as you grow older.. Frugality. Save money, no matter how small it is, it's still something. Work part time if you can set aside time to but if not, focus on studying, work can come later. Learn how to manage your allowance / part time income, when you get good with this, no matter how much you earn next time, the skill stays. Learn what is investing and what it means to you. These days with it so readily available, low fees etc it's a great time to be young haha.
Not a very hard thing to do. Im the same age as yourself but am a guy (see: 2 years NS disadvantage) and also accumulated 300k(but I don’t include CPF in my calculation because I believe 1 bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush) The secret is really being exposed and building habits even in my teens and being a huge hustler
You Singaporean? Not Singaporean then quite normal that you don't understand. If you are Singaporean then you must be drunk. You hear this accent everyday all day by everyone in Singapore
Following for quite long. I respect how you have the habit to record all financial transaction. You are doing very well
🫡 Thank you!!

Nope I don’t.
Do you still keep corporate job today?

Thanks for being so transparent!

Your thoughts on cpf could be a nice video idea 😊
Not bad at all. Good Luck. $1mil by 35 perhaps?
Can share strategy of how to hit this amount if have 2 kids and house since govt is asking everyone to give birth? That will be more impressive.
1. Increase your Income (promotions, change job, side hustle)
2. Balance spending on what you need vs wants
3. Have a partner that has the same mindset as you when it comes to finances
I won't be able to show that part lol I'm not married and no plans on having kids.
Any tips for growing wealth when it comes to students with little income?

@@DemiZhuang thank you.
Those US dollar bills....
MA and SA is rather useless. SA pay out at 65yrs old and MA only for medical fee. Do u include them in net worth?
Not useless to me and it's still my money. MA paid for my bill as mentioned in the video. SA is what I'm using to plan for retirement too.
